I am a highly motivated designer with a passion for art and design. I have experience in all disciplines of design and marketing and love every bit of it! I use innovative and creative angles to achieve powerful design and serve each client’s needs… and always on time!

I earned most of my skills as an all-​around designer serving as the Production Manager for the award winning el Don newspaper where I handled everything from page layout to managing print deadlines. My awards include six Columbia University Gold Circle Awards for Editorial Design, three National Pacemaker Awards and Best in Show with the el Don newspaper, and the Vie Smith Award for Excellence in Editorial Design from the Orange County Press Club.

I launched Amy Ellison Creative in 2009 with big dreams of working with small businesses and corporations alike. Today I am living the dream and work with clients I love, and I’ve even earned contracts with companies like Amgen Pharmaceuticals and Transamerica Brokerage.

Amy is amazing. She has such great insight and knowledge. We met and went over a few things, she asked some questions and before you knew it she had sent us a rough of the website. She is positively amazing. She knew exactly what we needed and brought such a fresh look to our site. She had us explain things in more detail, which will benefit our clients and us in the long run.

I’m so glad I found Amy! I’ll start off by saying, at first I attempted to build a website and logo myself. With only basic skill and knowledge, my vision was just not coming to life and plus, I wanted to look professional.
After blabbering all my scattered ideas and the vision I saw for my business, Amy immediately started spouting off all these ideas and what she was seeing. All I could think was, «Thank God, she gets me.»
At first, all I wanted was a logo but after I dove more into what she was capable of, I had her design my business cards and website too.
The way her mind works really impressed me. She’s super artistic and innovative, not just in design but also in the way she portrayed the content in my site. I tend to get tunnel vision and Amy would bounce ideas off of me that I hadn’t thought of and ended up taking most of her advice. She has an eye for business and detail. She added so much to my brand and I couldn’t be more thankful.
Give her lemons and you’ll get the best lemonade you’ve ever tasted! I’m so happy I called Amy!

I contacted Amy through Unilocal because of her wonderful reviews. I asked her to design a logo for me for my new golf fitness business. I know why I hired her as a professional instead of trying to do something myself. The logo was so creative and entailed everything that we are, in a small package. I’ve started my own consulting firm and was in need of graphic design help to create my corporate identity package (logo, brochures, website, business cards, etc). I went to Amy. Her website site was very representative of the breadth and quality of work she does. We started from scratch with my logo and business cards. I told Amy about my firm, it’s positioning and the look and feel I wanted. She took it from there. Two days later I had 6 wonderful comps to choose from. We massaged a little from there and then moved onto the business cards, which I could not be happier with. Amy does high quality work, at affordable prices, her turn-​around times are very quick and she’s fun to work with. What more could you ask for. I consider her part of my team.

Absolutely in love with my business cards!
Amy designed my first batch of cards last year and they were amazing. She created my logo using my signature and I’ve received endless compliments on it.
When I approached Amy this year, I told her I wanted to go in a cleaner, more sleek direction with my cards. Within an hour she sent me the new design and also helped me send it to the printers! Amazing work and amazing customer service!

My first experience with Amy’s work was minimal. I say minimal because for her skill set, it really wasn’t asking much of her. I had received my wedding photos from my photographer and wanted them to be further edited. I provided Amy with the photos I wanted edited, with no specific requests, and within a week she had delivered amazing photos.
My second, and most recent experience, blew my mind. Though I do not want to divulge the specifics of the project, I will share some details. I provided Amy with photos and short facts that I wanted to be printed in a magazine format. Amy met with me to discuss what I wanted and what she envisioned. The final product was mind blowing. I couldn’t have dreamed a better design and layout that what Amy presented to me. The layout, the font, the edited phots, the colors, her professionalism, and her great attitude made this a wonderful project!
She also was kind enough to be available to my printer when he had a few questions that I was unable to provide answers for to him.
Amy is 100% professional, time-​conscious, and discreet. I have the utmost confidence in her skill set and ability, and would recommend her to absolutely anyone.
