Verdugo Pizza

Just moved into the neighbourhood and have ordered a pizza and a pasta in the last week. Both were amazing! The jambalaya pasta was especially good. ²⁄₂ so far!

This place sure makes our family happy! The pizza is delicious! They always say our meal will be delivered within 35 min but it usually comes in 20 minutes. We always order the pasta, pizza, salad & garlic toast deal. It’s so satisfying and affordable. I highly recommend this spot. We haven’t ever dined in only ordered for delivery. The deliverers have been so nice, professional & friendly.

Verdugo Pizza is the best pizza I’ve had in a while. They have a good selection of topping and the pizza is always cooked perfectly. Their delivery service is also good the drivers are punctual and friendly, but better is when you call in an order and pick it up. This place has been my savior on several occasions & im so glad I found out about them.

Ordered a delivery that arrived a little after the hour promised. We ordered the Manager’s Special with the hot wings and Greek Salad and it was well worth the wait. Everything was hot and delicious! This is definitely one of the best pizza I’ve ever tries. Can’t wait to try them out at their actual restaurant. Everything was sooooo good!

Sorry to do this, but I have to pull a Pete Wells and remove a star. The calzone had no ricotta cheese in it, which I thought was a staple for calzones. Also, the eggplant within was very tough and required prolonged softening in the oven. Still overall a great place, though, especially the pasta.

AWESOME!!! I’m really picky about spaghetti, I’ve not been able to find a takeout/​delivery that can come close to what I can make at home… until now! Verdugo Pizza hits the mark! I finally found in my opinion, the holy grail of spaghetti. The pasta was cooked exactly the way I like: just a touch over al dente, just enough to absorb the wonderful sauce, the meatballs were perfection, flavorful, moist and with full flavored, yet balanced seasoning, not too dense or too crumbly. The Pizza Margarita was awesome too! What a perfect New Years Day treat! When I have a hankering for pasta or pizza, I now have a «go to» food delivery, no brainer!

I give this place 5 stars. I just tried their pizza for the first time and it was amazing. I got the Italian supreme pizza with salmon pasta and the chicken pesto salad thank you Verdugo pizza I will definitely be coming back.

Ordered a pepperoni, mushroom and onion, medium pizza extra crispy and it came out perfectly. Delivery was fast and food was hot and delicious.

I would give them 4 ½ stars if that was possible on Unilocal.Great place for picking up pizza to go. Good crust, good sauce, the right amount of cheese and nice toppings. Overall taste… very good! Nice job Verdugo Pizza!

I attempted to place a delivery order through GrubHub. I even added extra toppings to get what I wanted and be far above the delivery minimum. Within minutes, I get a call from the restaurant that they were refusing to delivery my food at the price quoted. I cancelled my order and will never do business again with Verdugo Pizza, not make any orders with GrubHub (I’ll be using Eat24).

I ordered a sandwich for lunch delivery. Food was ok nothing amazing, but man was the delivery driver rude. Literally handed me the bag and walked away without saying a word. Too bad I couldn’t take the tip back…

Best Pizza in town!!! We’ve been ordering pizzas pastas salads from Verdugo Pizza for years and I can’t express how amazing the food is here!

Solid, family-​style pizza joint. Value is phenomenal. This is not fancy, «artisanal» pizza, but it’s definitely higher quality than the chain crap. Service is usually good, though once in a while the person taking the order is hard to communicate with.

I ordered a vareity of specialty pizzas and pastas for a work potlock. There are so many different options, which made it easy to pick for a large group of people with different preferences. From mediterannean to meat lover’s pizza, they all tasted delicious, and very fresh.
The pasta was also delicious and came with a side of delicious garlic bread.
Everyone enjoyed the food, and there was plenty more to go around.
The food was delicious, fresh, unique tasting, very reasonably priced, and comes in very large portions, perfect for sharing.

This place really came through for us! Great food, great prices (especially on the large catering trays). The lady who answered the phone was patient and helpful when taking our large order. On time delivery by the owner?! Where do you get that kind of service? Will definitely use them again for parties.

We were in need of pizza — good pizza. And our usual place was closed so we gave Verdugo Pizza a go. We drove there and I had my husband pick up the pizzas and he experienced very rude service. The pizza was delicious and enjoyed; we might possibly come back but only for takeout.

I’m 2 for 2 with positive experiences here. Both times I ordered with the Eat24 app and both times the food was good and delivered in a timely manner. The pizza was good as well as the Khachapuri. I’ll definitely be ordering from here again.

Again I don’t write plenty of Unilocal reviews. I only do it when it’s worth sharing. I would have given 4 stars but the horrendously rude driver brought it down 2 stars.
So ordering the food was simple and easy. The girl who took our order was friendly and prompt. The food was okay– pizza was great, the antipasto salad was good, but the wings were not that great at all. We ordered an extra ranch– that didn’t come.
The delivery guy? The biggest ass. So I wasn’t home when the food was delivered but my girlfriend was. I guess he had called me to let me know he was outside but I didn’t answer since I was driving. So I see a missed call from a random number and return the call. The very first thing he says or yells is: «I CALLED YOU, YOU SHOULD’VE ANSWERED THE FIRST TIME. DONT EVER CALL ME AGAIN.» Wtf. You can only imagine how taken aback I was by this terribly rude delivery man. When I got home, my girlfriend said he was also very rude to her when delivering the food.
I called to inform the manager (who supposedly took my info down and said he would let the owner know who would then get back to me… hasn’t happened) — who would ever want anyone like this working for them especially in delivering the food? This is the last employee we interact with when dealing with Verdugo Pizza and this is how it ends? He definitely ruined Verdugo Pizza for us. How is this old, sad, pathetic man delivering food? He should probably just give it a rest and retire or keep the misery at home.
I won’t say I’m never going to eat there again, but I will definitely not be ordering delivery if this grumpy man is still delivering their food.

Been coming here with my family for quite awhile now and I must say it’s about Time I write a review. Every time I come here I’m just so amazed at how the food is made here. The Italian salad is the best tasting Italian salad I’ve ever tasted because of its house made dressing! It’s made from scratch. I’ve been getting their pastas too, and I must say they are delish! I don’t have a favorite cuz every single pasta dish I’ve tasted has satisfied me. It always leaves me wanting more. And the pizza… Is great. I’m so glad that this pizzeria opened up right across the street from us. This has been my family’s go to spot for pizza. Can’t wait to try something new on the menu!

Sunday night and I decided to expand my horizons on Pizza places. Casting the Dominos aside, I used EAT24’s app to find somewhere new and I came across Verdugo Pizza. Unilocal reviews looked great. The pictures of the pizza’s looked delicious. What could go wrong?! well…
EAT24 notified me that the restaurant had confirmed the order. It told me that it would take 45 – 60 mins; then it started the timer. Perfect. Time to catch up on my shows, let a bottle of wine breath (always a good way to ‘classy’ up your pizza) and kill some time. 45 mins later the show is over and no pizza. but it could be an hour so I pressed play on another episode. Another show over and I remembered that I’d ordered some food…
I tried to give the location a call, but I’m greeted with a message that the establishment is closed! Odd. Did I get the time wrong? Why didn’t the app tell me?
I checked Unilocal to confirm their hours and it said they’re open til 10. Then I saw this review that had just been posted:

I went back to EAT24 and it gave me an option to call the store. I clicked the button and the phone rang (cool feature). It told me it was connecting to the store. Then then same ‘closed’ message.
As I’m trying to work out my next steps the door bell rings and the driver was there with my pizza. He apologized and when I told him about trying to call, he said that they had got busy so they switched the phone off. All-​in-​all the pizza arrived 1 hr and 50 mins after my order.
Well.the pizza was ok. It wasnt cold after the wait. More expensive than the bigger chains. The toppings were fresh and it wasnt overly greasy. Just a real shame about the service. Take from this what you will, but I have to regretfully recommend avoiding delivery.
