Tresa At Arrowhead

Although the location of Tresa Apartments is in a prime spot that is all that I found to be a pro in living here. My husband and I only stayed here for 6 months and that was bad enough. From day one it was downhill. Our apartment was not move in ready and we were not allowed to see the apartment ahead of time. There were so many things wrong inside that I gave the front desk a packet of photos of everything that needed to be fixed. They never offered to change our apartment but merely stated that everything in the packet would get fixed ASAP. The front desk lady told me «well you know your not the first person to live in this apartment right?» –as if I didn’t know what.
The first month of us staying here the **SWAT Team and DEA** blew off the door to our upstair’s neighbor’s apartment at 5am and scared the life out of us. They then proceeded to search the apartment next to them and ours. Apparently our neighbor was wanted for many outstanding warrants. The management did nothing for us even though we were scared and uncomfortable in the complex. They said they did not have the ability to check everyone’s background that they rented to and that things happen… The next month my husband was in a hit-​and-​run accident in the complex by one of the residents. We took the license plate number, a description of what the person looked like, and told them the building they lived in — they stated they would go to the owners and get their insurance information for us — nothing was ever done. We filled a police report which helped us to get their insurance information.
Our fridge from day one would shake and make a loud knocking sound periodically throughout the day. After 6 months of work order forms and complaining it still never got fixed. Only about 50% of everything on our packet got fixed by the time we moved out. Almost every month something new and unbelievable would happen in our apartment from the carpet coming undone, ant infestations, mechanical problems with appliances, neighbor disturbances, and work order assistance. I placed in many work order forms while living here at Tresa not for a lot of different problems by the same old problems that never got fixed. The issues either got done weeks later or not at all. When they came to inspect the fridge in November the maintenance man took the fridge out of the wall and ripped off DUCK TAPE from its back. A plastic piece came flinging off of the fridge. The man told me, «well we can just fix this an it should be fine» — I told him I wanted it replaced because it was being held together with duck tape. He stated he could but in an order to have it replaced but it would take a couple weeks to get a new one. I said fine and never heard back from them. Before leaving, the property manager stated we were being overcharged each month of rent by over $ 40! Had we not moved out and had them go over our files we would still be living there paying $ 40 extra a month for nothing.
We were told, after everything we experienced, we would be getting our security deposit back — we received a letter in the mail just a couple days ago that they used our security deposit for «maintenance» and «cleaning purposes» for moving out expenses. I have photos of how spotless and beautiful I left the apartment and they claimed certain things still needed to be done. The day before moving out I asked the front desk lady if I needed to do anything or pay anything before we left — she said, «No that’s it. We are really sorry for everything you’ve had to go through here and we hope you have a better experience at your next complex. Just don’t leave any trash inside the apartment and you should be receiving your security deposit in a week»…this was at the beginning of December. It’s been over a month. I am done with this place.

If you want to live in the shittiest apartments ever with the worst parking MOVE HERE. The appliances are SO old their not even realistic. Their gates are broken so homeless people wander in and steal your shit (this has been reported to the front office who still will not fix the gates and will also disregard anything you say). My car got broken into and vandalized and so did my boyfriends apartment (the alarm was broken so it never went off). The police informed us that it was a targeted vehicle and most likely someone who has been watching us. ANOTHER REASON WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO BREAK THE LEASE. Also, if that wasn’t enough, the maintenance people take WEEKS to come fix anything. There’s dog shit and cats everywhere. This was the worst experience of my life, I’m terrified to come here because I know someone broke into the apartment and broke into my car. DO NOT MOVE HERE.
UPDATE: went to the front office and the extremely rude, snotty Chandler informed us that «we brought this upon ourselves» and that she «can’t be our personal body guard» so she «doesn’t know what we wanted her to do about it». She also doesn’t know anything about anything and is completely disrespectful. Told me I was an unauthorized occupant for spending the night here for two — three nights a week when it clearly says 14 consecutive days on the lease or twice that many days in any one month. Also the cops were called for ANOTHER break in just this morning (two days after mine). The management and staff here are awful and don’t have any respect for the people living here.

they turned me into collections for a debt that no one except their book keeper seems to be able to find… much less was passed onto me. when I asked about it I was told that she had emailed the collections company to tell them to take me out, as the debt was paid.
when I asked why I hadn’t been notified as id been there 2ce to pick up packages, and was told that chandler didn’t know about the bill as she is not the book keeper… and that I didn’t leave a forward address. I told her that they had my number as this was how chandler contacted me both times, and that none of my bills seemed to have trouble getting to me, so where was my copy of this, as it should of been rerouted via the post office to my new address as was everything else.
she told me I was being difficult as this was my fault that she didn’t have a address to mail it to, but to never mind as the bill was taken care of by my mortgage company, which is weird as she told my mortgage company that there had been an outstanding bill but it was taken care of. and thaere was nothing further owed.
my impression is she got caught in a lie, as neither I or my mortgage company have paid the bill, and yet she sent it to collections after she spoke with the mortgage company, but when I called her to find out what was going on she told me that the bill was paid and she d emailed the company that am to tell them to take me out of collections as the bill was paid in full.-which is also very perplexing to me as they had gotten so far in their process as to start calling and harassing me, so why would this be if the bill was paid in full???
so be extremely careful and don’t trust anything they say as they will tell you and your representatives there is no outstanding debt, and then turn you into collections for something they cannot prove and their staff know nothing about — it seems odd to me that neither of the office girls knew of this debt, would seem to me that when they contacted me they would be aware of any outstanding debt, but that’s just me…

I never had a late payment in two years, turned in the appropriated notice, spent days cleaning to make sure everything looked nice upon leaving, turned in the keys, asked if we needed to do anything else, and moved out on time. We received a bill (over a month later) stating that we owed rent, a late fee, and a carpet cleaning fee. I was shocked since I assumed we were paying from the 8^th through the 8^th of each month. After reviewing the document, I saw that the security deposit was used for the rent, etc. If the deposit was used, why was a late fee charged?!? Also, the carpet looked good upon departure. No reason for a cleaning fee. I called to speak with the office staff to explain my concerns and the assistant manager was rude and said «I’m just trying to work with you.» I said, «You are telling me to pay amounts that I shouldn’t owe; that isn’t trying to work with me.» She said I could pay or the $ 100+ would be sent to collections. I said we would not pay a late fee or the cleaning fee (they took the security deposit for the rent and there was no reason for the cleaning fee). She sent the amount to collections and I’m paying stuck paying an unfair bill because the office staff was rude and didn’t let me know to pay a prorated amount for the last month. Ironic that my only late fee was the final month when the bill wasn’t properly given to me. BE CAREFUL IF MOVING HERE! Also, pet feces lines the sidewalks each day, maintenance takes months to fix issues/​if the issues are fixed (we had warped cupboards from day 1 that were never fixed), and the office staff is rude after move-​in.

Apartments themselves are nice, it’s the MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT THAT RUINS EVERYTHING. Clearly, they are not paid enough because it shows in the service. I woke up one early morning to extremely extremely LOUD obnoxious stomps, vibrations, and noise of people working on the roof– to the point where I woke up thinking something serious was happening. I only get ONE day to sleep in and it’s always ruined by the leaf blower, this time it was the roof. You will never get a notice when they work on something big so expect to be startled at random times. The gates are always broken.

DO NOT GET CONNED INTO LIVING HERE… RUN AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE… marketed as a gated community– gates are never closed. i was there just over a year and the gates only worked for about 1 month total. When asked the staff states that they have an electrical issue, and have had 3 different companies in and havent yet been able to fix it. when finally fixed we were told we would be given gate cards, and 1 month after the gates were broken again, gate cards never appeared.

Lights are constantly out all over property, and multiple light standards are broken, lying on ground or tilted. When I moved in it took me three calls to office and 2 weeks to get light outside my apartment lite.

Glendale police are constantly in property, during my year here i witnessed them at least 6 times, on day this was written the glendale police were there looking for a dark haired hispanic person…

People who dont live there are frequently noted to use the pools and facilities here, and when asked the management replies, yes that happens, unfotrunately. …

while walking the property with my dog I have noted syringes, needles, broken century link panels, bee swarms, pool gates propped open, overflowing garbage dumpsters, and enough ferile cats tl supply all of the united states (at least 100, and residents that feed them) When mentioned to management staff I was told yes there is a lot of cats

they have barb be ques, available, but there is no lighting around them, and they are also a benefit used by people who dont currently live here.
There are frequently homeless people going thru the overflowing garbages, as well as people with trucks and head lamps… When management staff asked about this they told me that next time i witnessed this i should call glendale police… I suggested that maybe they should have gates work, so that people could not drive in avail themselves of the property.
Management, as previously mentioned, could not find there way out of a wet paper back, even if it had instructions included. they are unhelpful and rude-​They cant even keep track of incoming and outgoing packages, and frequently label packages with wrong apartment numbers.
I lived above people who smoked like chimneys, and was lucky enough to have it sucked into my ac and my apartment in the summer, and in the winter open my windows to a fresh lungful of second hand smoke… Again managment was not helpful with this concern
I also had a neighbor that was only seen between the hrs of 2 and 4 am, and was mostly seen trying to hide behind the pillar of the stairs, while watching me come and go, while a terrible smelling smoke emerged from his apartment, It smelt a lot like either a chemical fire or crystal meth… there is still no vehicle in the spot assigned for this apartment
I would rent at any other property available, and there are 3 in immediate sight… If you choose to rent here i hope you have a better experience then I did, although I doubt it…

My apartment is great. Open spacious and all up to date. Maintaince was fine. They came in and fixed my problems for the most part. They left their ladder one time but came back in a timely manner and removed it.
It is super cose to Arrowhead mall and the 101 freeway which is great. Close to the Gila Arena which was awesome because i love hockey.
The only downfalls is their price and their way of payment. I would have loved to use my credit card, but there is an extremely large fee attached to using a CC. It is fairly expensive for the 1Bed1Bath, but you do get a very nice apartment. I would recommend.

Lori, a rental agent, had the maintenance man Steve enter my apartment without my permission to fix a problem that didn’t exist. I only found out because he left a fraudulent work order saying he completed the repairs in my bathroom. I have lived here 3 weeks and my home has already been trespassed because Lori’s fat fingers sent the maintenance man to the WRONG APARTMENT. I FEEL VIOLATED.

When I was applying to live here the management staff were so accommodating, helpful, and nice! After I moved in I was beyond disappointed with the management and maintenance staff. Trouble tickets take forever to be «completed». Other tenants for the most part are just as grumpy and rude as the staff. It is a great location, but in my opinion it is far from worth it.

Run far far away. The place is worn down. Managed by people who couldn’t find their way out of a wet paper bag.
Their «maintenance» personnel must have learned their repair knowledge from a joke in a Cracker Jax box.

Don’t rent here. As soon as I moved in my A/​C didn’t work, I got it fixed but when I turned it back on in summer it was hot. I spent 5 months getting it fixed, one of the staff kept telling me it was hot because its hot out. Well it got to 85 and I finally got it fixed 2 weeks before we moved out. Also when I moved in I had screens replaced, toilets to be fixed, blinds and the list goes on. Took 2 weeks one time just to get an air filter. Also the carpet was gross from the time I moved in and they charged me because my cats scratched some holes. I can’t believe they are just repairing it and then passing it off to someone else. The washer doesn’t spin right, clothes still really wet and dryer takes 2 hours to dry towels. The staff do not care. As far as I’m concerned this apartment community needs a bad upgrade and new management that cares. If I could post a pic I would of the overflowing dumpsters with garbage and furniture that sits there for weeks until it finally gets cleaned up.
