Tip Top Shoe Repair

I came here to add some holes to a belt, and service was super friendly and fast. I would definitely come back and have them work on my shoes any day.

This is a long overdue review. I decided to review this place after getting a horrible service at ‘Hunt’s’. The only reason I visited Hunt’s was because they were closed on Thanksgiving weekend. This is a little mom and pop kind of shoe repair shop. The lady who always takes your orders is very polite and pleasent to speak with. She always has a smile on her face and makes going to this store a pleasent experience. Their prices are fair, and they do a good work on fixing shoes. I never had any issues on the shoes they fixed for me. The only issues is with their parking, which is right in front of the store, and it’s limited metered parking. It could get hard to find additional parking spots, especially they’ve been building bunch of apartment buildings at every corner around that area now. Other than that, I very highly recommend this shoe repair shop number one, for their excellent attitude, and number 2, their workmanship and reasonable prices.

If you don’t want your shoes anymore, just give them to this guy. He totally ruined my beloved shoe.
I took my shoe to him just to glue a piece back to its place. And apparently he destroyed my pair, he decided that he will sew them instead of glueing. He literary completely ruined BOTH, they are not even repairable anywhere.
Plus, my shoes were extremely dirty when he gave them to me.
Seems like he know that it’s no more usable so he even didn’t care to clean what he have done.
I really never recommend this place to anyone that want to repair a shoe.

They did a good job repairing my favorite pair of sandals and were kind enough to refer me to Kovacs in Pasadena when I brought them a handbag that they couldn’t repair.

Very nice owners, amazing prices (polish and new laces for $ 7). Can’t be beaten. I’ll be taking my shoes here from now on.

An actual Mom and Pop shop. Lovely people and great work. They put new heels on my nearly destroyed workboots, put new buckles on another pair of my shoes, an did great work on my treasured leather purse. It was really trashed and I can’t believe how good it looks now. Don’t think twice– go here.

Great customer service. I’ve had a couple of boots stretched here. They told me if it wasn’t just right to bring them back. I did and it wasn’t a problem at all. Very kind lady that helps you. Great prices.

I literally just left this place and all I have to say is wow. Thank you for the help. I brought my girlfriends shoes last minute and they repaired it on the spot even after they told me to wait till Tuesday. I asked them if they could just do it because the repair was not too big and we needed the shoes by Sunday, tomorrow, and they did it! Very great customer service and it looks like they have a lot of customers. Take my word if you need your shoes repaired, go here

I’ve been going here for years with all kinds of shoe and leather repairs, from new rubber heels to replace cheap plastic ones to new holes in belts to complete cleaning and color renewal.
They know their trade and do excellent work.

I can not say enough positive things about Tip top shoe repair…
First off they are extremely adorable. I brought my Christian Louboutin’s (pigalle follies 120) in to have my heels retapped. They did it for $ 5!
Plus, there customer service was top notch. It was a Friday afternoon, I know they were busy yet they stopped everything they were already hard at work on to fix my heels immediately while I waited. I needed them for a conference the next day.
Sadly, the next day when I was wearing the heals one of the tips was faulty and came apart leaving only the metal. I called tip top shoe repair today (Monday, as they are closed on Sunday) and they told me to come straight in. They fixed my heel tap for FREE on the spot.
They have such amazing prices and loyal customer service that I will not go anywhere else with my expensive shoes.
They did an excellent job on not only retapping my shoes but buffing out the scratches in the leather and fixing my heels that we’re starting to wear down.

Went here for the first time recently per it’s nice Unilocal reviews. Brought in 3 pairs of ankle boots to be repaired– two to have caked mud removal, and one to have the heels replaced. All looked nice and were done at a reasonable rate. The woman working there was friendly as well. Thanks and I’ll be back here again!

Things come and go. A couple of years here and there, a few new trends jump in: vape shops, cell phone stores and hookah lounges. And some things tend to stand the test of time. Tip Top for instance, has been around forever. The city savior ever since I could remember. I fancy the stubborn quality of old school methods. I respect the elder statesman that knows his craft. Family built and raised by daughters who understand diligence and the morality of perfection. like I said, the face of the neighborhood has changed but the quality is still the same.

I’ve had two jobs done here, both shoe heel replacements. The first was a very simple shoe heel and the replacement was fine. The second had a tapered heel, and the shoe replacement they put on did not follow the taper angle and so was wider than the shoe heel! It looked ridiculous. I had to go home and grind it down myself.

Took a pair of boots here to get the side zippers replaced. Very friendly service, and excellent prices. Got my boots back three days later with new zippers, and they even gave them a good polishing. I’d definitely come back to have any shoes or boots repaired.

Fast, friendly, and affordable! Not sure what else you need from a shoe repair shop. I brought 2 pairs of shoes in on a weekday afternoon and they were ready for pickup the following afternoon. It cost me $ 5 to re-​heel the stiletto of a pair of boots! They also shined them. I went to a different repair shop 2 blocks away and they wanted to charge me $ 10 for the same thing. NO THANKS.

I just bought these brand new leather boots from Cathy Jean and felt devastated that I scraped the tip of one of the shoes. I lost the the leather piece that came off and knew if would be hard to do. I called and right away a friendly voice was certain that they could fix it. Service was very friendly and assured me it would polished and ready the next day. Very pleased with the service for such a good price as well! I am def bringing back some of my other heels to get fixed as well.

I took 2 pairs of shoes there and for $ 7 total they fixed them both. They were welcoming when I walked in — I have decided that if I don’t get acknowledged when I walk into a business I am walking out. This too cool for school attitude that is sadly becoming so acceptable by consumers is not going to fly with me. So, back this review — I came here because of another place being so rude… they were nice — and affordable. When I dropped off my shoe sthey weren’t sure they were going to be able to fix one of the tears — but they did! And it looks perfect! My only concern is that their pick up system is a bit antequated — so make sure you bring your slip with you! I’m willing to deal with that for now — because I seriously value SERVICE WITH A SMILE. Thanks Tip-​Top — you made me feel good about giving you my money.

I adore Tip Top. They were recommended by a watch and jewelry repair shop in Los Feliz. I have brought a few shoes and items here that other repair shops claimed were too difficult to work on. Not only did Tip Top do the work, but they did an excellent job for very very affordable prices. One shop put a very flimsy band on a pair of sandals that broke within weeks and then refused to redo the work, claiming that the band they used was the only kind available. I brought the shoes to Tip Top who, of course, had much thicker and stronger bands in stock. My sandals are perfect now. They’ve sewn buttons on boots for me and repaired a watch band.
I don’t live in Glendale, but they’re worth the short drive from Silverlake.
