The Legend at Arrowhead

Good course, Cart Boys SUCK. Majority of employees need a lesson on customer service.

The greens here are unplayable. They roll true and are in good shape but have so many undulations and terrible pin placements.
The other major downfall is the amount of bird shit all over the place. It’s disgusting. I will never ever play this course again.

Do NOT golf here they have the worst customer service, especially from Travis. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER golf here again!!! I would have given a negative rating if available.

I will start by saying this course doesn’t care about anything but making money. Management lead by Brandon Dougherty and Travis Relyea is very poor. In Brandon’s own words «i don’t talk to customers, I’m just the guy in the back room» and If the GM doesn’t take interest in the costumers you can imagine nothing will ever improve. Such as the pretty common 5 – 6 hour round of golf you will play due to the constant overbooking of tee times. Before you show up early to get a cart and hit some range balls, just expect a decent wait for a cart and you will spend 11 dollars for a lot of cut up and worn down balls just to be interrupted half way through hitting them because They don’t have a cage for the picker so everyone has to stop hitting balls for 45 min while they pick the range. This happens numerous times through out the day. I wouldn’t suggest eating the food either, most of it is cooked then thrown in the freezer /​refrigerator for a couple weeks until they choose to microwave and serve to the customers. Wether its taco meat that gets saved week to week for taco Tuesday or the hundreds of bacon strips that are cooked and saved for the entire month. Just do yourselves a favor and don’t eat.
P. S. feel free to wear any kind of clothing you want. Zero golf educate.

the general manager and his staff get so many complaints a day because of the over booking and poor and rude service they don’t even return phone calls. I wish I could find out who is owns this place so I can smack him up side that head along with his worthless GM

This course is always a good deal price-​wise. I do love the layout, just wish they maintained it a little better. The putting green is very large to practice on and the range is decent. Beer is appropriately priced and the cart girls tend to show up frequently.

Terrible day. 6+ hour round. No one took responsibility. Terrible breakfast sandwich. Filthy bathrooms. Course was burning out in May. Bought a Corona but they could not afford the lime. Someone needs to manage this course

Played early, 6:48, to beat the heat. Didn’t help. 108 when we finished at 11:15. Off season price is amazing, $ 21 for 18 with cart. A lot more water on course than I would have imagined in the desert. Some tight fairways through the houses and interesting, undulating greens.
Great staff from the club house, to snack bar, to cart barn and on the course drink cart.
Wonderful experience.

Nice course. Definitely over priced. Fairways are wide. Rough is generous. Greens are very challenging but well cared for. Staff is nice too.

I’ll start by saying The Legend has one of my favorite holes in the Valley. I absolutely love carrying that lake on the 7^th hole; I’ve hit some of my most proud shots there (right between the two palm trees, anyone?). The course is very playable, and has a great layout.
That said, the last time we played, it was in terrible shape. There were burnt out spots on the fairways, and even on many of the greens. The practice green was largely brown as well. The condition was just unacceptable… I don’t think I’ve ever played a course that was in such poor condition. I’m reluctant to go back just for that reason.

Great course at a great price. Interspersed within a residential community, this Arnold Palmer designed course is a great challenge, and well taken care of. It will be even better as the months go. They have great practice facilities and a wonderful staff to make your experience enjoyable. One negative comment… if you are a brat connossieur, I would advise against choosing the Grille’s.
