Vanessa is a hair color whiz!!! She’s known for her balayage technique. The color blends so seamlessly and she’s incredibly honest about the process. It’s important for her to keep your hair healthy so she won’t make false promises and process the hell out of your hair all at once. She’s also a Brazilian blow out guru! When I first considered getting a Brazilian blow out, my previous hair stylist warned me about having to sit in a chair for 4 hours while she processed my hair. She also mentioned that I wouldn’t be able to even put my hair up for 3 days because it would leave an «imprint» in my hair (weird I know). I was also worried because I like the lazy waves in my hair, I really just wanted to combat the frizz. I mentioned this to a friend and she suggested I got to Vanessa. Vanessa reassured me that my hair would still have its wave, but frizz free and a lot easier to manage. The entire process probably took an hour, and when she was done she washed my hair and proceeded to blows dry it… and my hair was dry in exactly 8 minutes flat. I have a ton of hair, and it normally takes me at least 20 minutes (when I’m done it looks like a giant poof). When Vanessa was done blow drying my hair, it was not frizzy at all, but still managed to have it’s natural somewhat wavy texture. I was super happy with the results, and continue to do the Brazilian every couple of months for maintenance. I highly recommend giving it a try if you have any issues with frizz. So in short, she’s awesome.

I’ve been coming to get my hair done by Vanessa for almost a year now, in that time I’ve gotten haircuts, color, bayalage (is that how you spell it? lol) ombré and Brazilian blowouts. I have never left unhappy or dissatisfied with my hair because Vanessa is a true artist and professional. She is caring, listens, provides her professional opinion, and will only do what you tell her you are comfortable with. I truly feel blessed to have found her because she is amazing. If you want a great hair stylist to take care of you and your hair I highly recommend Vanessa ‘s services.

Vanessa is wonderful! Super personable, funny and does amazing balayage highlights, cuts, and styling. It was my first time doing highlights without foils and I’ll never go back to the foil method. I love my color — much more natural and should grow out much nicer than the yucky foil stripe I’ve been used to a month after getting my hair done. Also, her salon is adorable and stocked with candy and cookies. Additional perks: Booking online = super easy and there’s a huge parking structure nearby (I hate worrying about meters for appointments). Will definitely be going back!

So if I had the opportunity to give 10 stars I would. Vanessa is AMAZING! She’s done my hair twice and I loved both the outcomes. She understands what you want and speaks «hair» lol. She’s very knowledgable with her craft. She does help you out with hair choices and with advice to help transition your hair to a lighter color or any color the safest/​healthiest way possible. She is always booked a month in advance so make appointments ASAP! She is worth the wait so don’t go anywhere else! TRUST ME! And I repeat, SHE IS WORTH THE WAIT!!! Her suite is so cute! You can see how proud she is of her location by her décor and effort she has put into her suite. Just trust me, you can’t go wrong. She is truly a hair magician! I have crazy, curly, corse, puffy hair and she did a great job on it!!! I got balayage highlights, Brazilian blowout, and a cut. A hair make over for sure!

Vanessa is a talented hair stylist, and I highly recommended you going to her. Often we go to hair stylists who don’t listen to us, and do what they think our hair needs. Vanessa gives her professional recommendation, but ultimately the decision is up to the customer. I have been going to her for about two years, and I’m a happy customer. She’s great with color; just remember you can’t have platinum blonde hair when you walk in with boxed black hair. It’s going to take a few treatments. She’s busy, so book in advance. If you can’t make your appointment cancel in advance so someone else can take your spot. We’re all in line for the hottest seat around. You’ll thank me later.

Vanessa is awesome! She does great cuts and color and it’s obvious she cares about her clients. She is definitely good at what she does. She is also extremely pleasant-​time flies when I’m there. Her space is clean, neat, and private. The parking is also really easy. I highly recommend the color room, even though this could make it even harder to get an appointment! She’s busy so book early.

I had my hair cut by Vanessa until I moved out of the area a few years ago. She was — and still is — the best hairstylist I have had. I received constant compliments on my haircut.

I’ve been getting my haircuts and Brazilian blowouts done by Vanessa for at least four years now, and now I’ve followed her to the adorable Colour Room. She always knows exactly what I want, and does it perfectly. I recommended a friend to her who got her color done and it was GORGEOUS! She’s simply the best!

I really didn’t know what I get getting myself into after not having dyed hair for 6 years and I really wanted some color in my hair since my entire closet is black. You see, when I take photos with friends and family, my head always looks like it’s floating and you can’t even see how long and beautiful my hair is.
My story is this. I actually bought 2 box dyes from Target and my hair did not take the color and only dyed my roots (dont ask me why). I even tried it a 2^nd time and no luck. So I had to do something to fix this clown hair that Nutrisse gave me. That’s when I recall seeing Vanessa’s work on Instagram and it started popping up on my Facebook since she’s done a lot of my friend’s hair too, I didn’t look further and called her right away and told her my situation. From the looks on Instagram, I was sold and looked no further. I booked her online (ONLY way to book!) and had a waiting list of 3 weeks. So I waited since I know she does good work.
At first, I was lost finding her place. I was driving around in circles trying not to get into a accident. Then I gave up and ended up parking inside a public parking structure. I decided to walk on foot and found it on the CORNER of the street and inside are different studio rooms and I found her studio immediately. I was glad and relieved since I was lost and was a bit late to my appointment.
I walked into a oh so cute studio! It’s a black and white themed with mirrors everywhere. Very very cute space! She was welcoming, had me sit down and put this thing over me so the dye won’t ruin my clothes. I told her what I wanted and how my hair was and she did the rest. She even recommended this color to me that I had no idea how it looks and trusted her to work her magic. And she did! Fast forward… my hair came out FANTASTIC! She even took time to curl my hair to show me how beautiful the highlights were. I’m so in love with my new hair. She did exactly what I wanted and more! Been getting a lot of compliments on my new hair and it feels great. She’s so good that I made another appointment for a Brazilian Blow Out (1^st time) next week. I really can’t wait to see what that’ll do to my hair.
I highly recommend Vanessa. She’s very professional, knows her stuff, talented, and listens to what you to achieve. Not to mention she fixed my uneven clown hair that the stupid box dye did to me. She’s such a savor! I cannot rave more about this place! Thanks The Colour Room!

I went to see Vanessa for a hair cut I haven’t cut my hair for almost 2 years I would trim my tips myself! lol but I decided I needed a decent hair cut it was all un even. Anyway she help me with my hair and she did a Awesome job! Thank you ! I’ll be seeing you again! :D

What an adorable yet chic salon room. Vanessa is honest and talented. Her coloring skills are amazing… a true artist. My friend has been going to her for years and her hair is always on fleek because of Vanessa. I’ve gotten my haircut, colored and even did Brazilian straightening treatment a few times. I have never had a bad experience with her and love how my hair looks after seeing her. I’ve been following her work on IG and have been dying to color my hair and I’m glad I finally did and even happier I did it at The Colour Room. 5 Stars all around… Service and drinks are always nice and appreciated.
