Walked into this place randomly, I was looking for some brown outlet covers for kitchen island, and surprisingly they had them for much lower price than Home Depot!

Never been so angry leaving a hardware store in my life. I came in needing just some heavy gauge wire to connect some hood fans for my food truck. Not a master electrician or anything so I told the guy what I needed and ask if he had something that could work. He is immediately yelling at me «if you don’t know what you want I can’t help you!» Even his one other customer was able to tell me I needed about a 12 gauge wire. So I then turn to the sales clerk and tried again asking for a 12 gauge wire. Again I was yelled at «what kind of wire, if you don’t know what you want how can I help you!?» I see only 5 star reviews on here and all saying they were friendly and helpful so I’m shocked at the treatment I received here. Not sure if the race card is in play here but it sure felt like he hated me from the second I stepped into his store. Never again.

I am so grateful for the guys who work at Southwest Electric. I had gone in a few times in the past for parts and the sales people have always been helpful. But today I went in with a big problem and they worked for a long time trying to fix it. I thought for sure they would give up. But no, with humor and patience they continued to solve the problem. Three people worked together, what a team! Mission accomplished. Thank you!

I came here to figure the wiring for a vintage lamp we bought. They didn’t sell the parts we needed because it was so antique, but without charging us… the man behind the counter put on his glasses and got to work. He fixed our lamp with the current wiring it had, took out the faulty part of the lamp and handed it over to us with a smile. He said «no charge!» — Gotta love that attitude! Of course we did tip him, but it was his and the other people’s positive attitudes that will get us to come back.
