I’m a current resident. Location is AMAZING! The people who work here are wonderful and they will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy and satisfied. The free coffee and other amenities is also great. However, this is an older complex and the insulation is not good. Not knowing this, my first month’s electric bill was $ 220, and I live in a 1BR. Since then, we have not paid that much, but I also feel like we live in a cave. Before moving in, I even asked about the electric bill and I was told that it was high, but the worker in the front(who claimed to live there) said that she just likes to turn on the a/c and keep it cool. Oh no, I was flat out lied to. This is how the complex works. In the future, I’ll ask how the insulation is and not what a bill is like. Needless to say, this worker who told me about the bill does not work in the front office any more.

We moved to Arizona because my husband is at school at Midwestern. I have lived in this complex for 2 years and just went to renew our lease. We originally got this apartment because it was one of the cheaper ones on the street. From year 1 to year 2, our lease only went up $ 50. Then I think the owner switched so when we got our lease renewal for year 3, we were told that our rent would be increased by almost $ 500! That was even for the 12-month option. After talking with both management and corporate, we were told there was nothing they could do. The pool was nice, grounds are pretty clean, and I have felt safe living here with my husband and daughter. Maintenance staff are always courteous and quick to help out. Communication is lacking between management and renters. Pools will be closed with no notice given, which can get frustrating. But I have friends in the other complexes on the same street, and I really wish we would have moved there. Although they were slightly more expensive at the time, by the time you include all of Solis’ fees and take into account the insane jump in rent upon renewal, I would recommend renting at those places hand down(Tresa, Reserve, Summit) if you need to rent in the area. Learn from our mistake! Do not sign a rental agreement here!

STAYAWAY! I lived at this complex for 2 years and just moved out and couldn’t be happier. The first year was alright, but year 2 really sucked. There are tons of apartments in this area, just save yourself. This complex is noisy! Not just because of the 101 but the residents are a rowdy bunch aka trashy. Also, during my last year living at Solis I felt unsafe. From feral cats all over the place, to the SWAT team ready to fire, I have seen it all at this place. Not to mention, one morning I was walking my dog and right outside by front door was a beat up pick up truck with 2 people in it. The guy pulled his pants down to show me «himself». After running upstairs to call the police, I was told from an officer on the scene that they were homeless living out of their car /heroin junkies. The cop specifically told me he found needles, cotton, etc in the car. This incident happened before office hours but after calling the office at 9am(shockingly someone answered the phone) to tell them they didn’t seem phased. So much for a GATED community. right?! Clearly anyone can get passed those gates, and they sure did. The office didn’t even have the decency to alert the residents of the incident so I personally told my neighbors of the 2 junkies LIVING in their car right outside our doors. I could go on and on but just find another complex to live at if you’re smart I would never want my children, family, or friends dealing with this crap.

Just moved out about a month ago due to my husbands school. Perfect location, close to everything! Literally… EVERYTHING. All the people who lived there were so friendly– had people offer help all the time! Lots of Midwestern students– younger crowd but not partiers which was nice. It was always SO quiet! You rarely saw anyone except the few regular dog walkers. But the community was always so quiet. Two pools was convenient to have too, especially in AZ. Would want extra gas grills on the property because there was only one and it was always being used– but people were usually nice and shared! Loved all the grass and trees… grounds kept up very well– every Thursday landscapers would come. Staff was great, very helpful and maintenance always got there within a day or two!

Not too bad of a living situation, lots of dog poo around but thats pretty common for most complexes that allow pets. Unfortunately I had paid all the fees and such ahead of time and they still charged me over $ 300 for move out costs even though my apartment was spotless(I got carpet cleaned myself, filled holes in the wall, painted and everything!!). Lets just say I would never live there again, nor recommend anyone to do so!
