Shear Eclips

I have been coming to this salon since it opened 10 years ago and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Lese, the owner, has known me ever since I was a baby as she has styled my parents, aunt, and close family friends. Shear Eclips is very much like the family you actually can’t wait to see every time you go because they are welcoming, friendly, and superbly professional and dedicated. Lese is a goddess as a stylist as she is perfection and this is no hyperbole. She truly is the best at what she does and her haircuts, color, and styling are a skilled art form and its a beauty to witness. I always walk out feeling confident and sexy and she always keeps you looking stylish and on trend. After being a client of Lese for a long time, she really comes to know you and knows exactly what you want and manages to surpass your expectations each and every time. I always leave happy and can’t wait to come back. If you are not coming to see Lese or any of her other phenomenal stylists, I truly don’t understand what you’re doing with your life.

Stacy does a great job on waxing, she is very meticulous takes her time and very personable!

I have been going to this salon since it opened and I absolutely love it. Lese has been doing my hair for over a dozen years. She now does my husband’s hair and my five kids. Having someone who cares about me and my family cutting our hair is very reassuring. I trust Lese to make us all look great. Everyone that works there is very nice as well. I feel like it’s my home away from home because I’m there so often. I highly recommend this salon and Lese in particular! She rocks!

I drive down from West Covina to get my hair cut with Lese! She knows what she’s doing and will give you a great look and will not let you leave her salon disappointed! She has also colored my hair and I loved it! She’s great at what she does!

I have been coming hear for years, making the drive from Santa Monica because it’s worth it! Joe is my main man, but everyone else is fabulous as well. You can’t go wrong. Nice, clean salon with unbeatable prices compared to the westside ;)

I had ruined my hair dyeing it at home for two years, and trimming it myself. I was looking for somebody really good, and I read the reviews on Justine, so I decided to try. I went to this business for the first time yesterday, hoping she would fix my mess. She gave me an appointment at 7:15, which was already a plus for me, as I did not have to postpone anything on my schedule. As soon as I got to the shop I was offered coffee, tea, and snacks. I sat down knowing I had to wait, but she called me right away. Not only she was extremely nice and professional, but also she listened and did exactly what I asked. Because my hair was damaged, she decided to do color and highlights at the same time to avoid too much strain, so the entire process of coloring, washing, conditioning, and cutting took 1 ½ hours. The result was exactly what I hoped in terms of color. The cut was more of a trimming and fixing, because I told Justine that I want to grow my hair. It was a great experience for many reasons beside the result. Not only she told me exactly how much I would spend before starting, but also she absolutely did not push me into buying hair products, which I really appreciate. Also, the place is really clean (and I am quite difficult about it!), and everybody was nice.
I finally found my hairdresser!

I’ve always been quite particular about my hair, especially hair color, and I’ve spent years trying to find a high quality hair dresser with knowledge not only about different hairstyles but also the hair coloring process and what it does to hair quality based on clients previous experimenting with color and other treatments. But when you find someone who really listens, understands and makes a confident judgement based on their excellent expertise like Amy — my worries flew out the window within minutes! She took my hair from an orangy tone, that I could never get rid of due to my own strong pigment, to a gorgeous natural blond color that I’ve always been dreaming of! I just love it! It looks beautiful, healthy and in better shape than ever. I always get compliments from people saying that they wish they had my «natural blond» hair color, if they only knew… Amy is absolutely amazing and I’m so happy that I finally found her after so many years of hair color misfortunes!

Props to Justine on giving a good men’s hair cut. I’ve been going to shear eclips for a while because of the talent they have being the chairs. Yes, you’ll pay about 30 bucks for a cut, but rest assured it is worth it. If you want a premium cut that makes you feel brand new, try this place out. Call ahead and ask for Justine.

Zina always takes care of me! I never go anywhere else and I’ve referred her to friends.

I get my hair cut and colored by Justine M. She always does a thorough consultation and finds out what it is I want. This is not an easy task since I want glam hair but I want to wash and go :) She helps me with tips on how to keep my curls moist and suggests the right product. Go check her out. The salon is clean and there is a parking lot in the back.

Zina for facials ROCKS! I was referred by a friend; went in yesterday to the best hour and a half facial (and mini massage) ever. The cleansers, lotions, potions and smells from her products were heavenly too. Great exfoliation and no pushing of any products. She gave me tips and advice, and her skilled hands told me she is a pro. My skin felt and looked great when I left. I will be going back regularly!

One of the best hair salons in the area! The staff are all friendly and very knowledgable about hair. Joe takes care of my hair and I trust him completely! He definitely knows what he’s doing and does his work with care and precision. And just by looking around, it’s obvious that all the stylist are very talented and extremely good at what they do. Highly recommend this hair salon for all you hair care needs!

I needed my hair done for a graduation party I was attending over the weekend. I found this salon on Unilocal.I made an appointment with Justine one of their senior stylists for a cut, color and up do on Saturday morning. I arrived about 10 minutes early, the girl a reception greeted me with a friendly smile. Justine came and got me right on time. My hair is fine and extended to the mid back. I did not have any shape to it. I explained I wanted layers and some «Oomph» and volume but didn’t want to loose too much length. Justine knew exactly what I meant! She explained my hair type to me and what would work best for me. I also wanted to go darker with my color. She used a Redken color in a rich brown. I love it!!! After the color and cut was done I explained I wanted a loose messy «trendy» up do. Again I was pleasantly surprised Justine knew exactly what I was talking about, she showed me some pics of different styles and it was exactly what I was trying to say.
I walked out of there just under 2 ½ hours looking fabulous and ready to party!!!
I got so many compliments on my hair and will continue to tell all my family and friends to go see Justine at ShearEclips!!!

Really great place. All the stylists are extremely knowledgeable and know exactly what your hair needs. I go to Joe, and he’s great! Cut, color, up-​do, they’ve got it covered. Parking lot is small, but I can usually get a spot, and if not there is street parking near by. You have to enter from the alley in the back to get to the parking lot.
I tried a lot of other stylists and salons in the area before I found this one. I’m sticking with this one.

Shear Eclipse and Amy are like a hidden gem. You can hardly tell from the street that you will be walking Into a super chic salon or have the most talented hands in the business styling your hair. Everyone there is super friendly. And very accommodating. I’ve been going to this salon for 8 years. Once I found Amy, I have never trusted another soul with my hair. I even moved out of state for a couple years and still would wait to see her. Her highlights /​weaves are so natural looking they don’t look «done». It just looks like your hair. It is so hard to find a stylist that is a perfectionist and treats your hair better than she would treat her own. She is an artist. I started getting my hair done with her about 8 years ago when she was working at another salon, and I followed her over to Shear Eclips because she’s that amazing!!! She’s been my hair stylist since I was about 12 or 13 and I am now 22 :) I’m only that loyal because she really is the best. I always leave with the most beautiful hair colors
(I’ve had them all, red, blonde, brown, even some purple!) and she is the only person I will trust with scissors. People are constantly giving me compliments on my hair. She’s also one of the coolest girls you will ever meet. I love getting my hair done and being able to talk to her. It’s something I really look forward to. So, if you’re worried about where to go to get your hair to look the best it’s ever looked, fear no more. Go to Amy and leave happy!!!

I come here to get my eyebrows done by Zina. She is the best! My eyebrows have never looked better! She puts a lot of time and care into her work, and it really shows. She is truly talented– and on top of it all shes just a really nice person.
I also had a facial done by her recently, and I was amazed by the incredible value considering all the work she puts into it. I’d highly recommend her for facials as well. My skin looks amazing.

Amy is the only hairdresser I now trust to do incredible things with my hair! She is so precise and really talks to you about what you have in mind for a cut, how it might work with your hairs and pays attention to the texture of your hair!
The best part is when I am getting my hair cut I don’t feel like she’s just rushing to get me out of the chair for the next client, she is extremely meticulous and takes her time.
Looking at other reviews, it seems all the folks at Shear Eclips really offer amazing service and care about their clients satisfaction… the staff is extremely friendly as well. Overall, wonderful environment!

I love going to a salon where I can get everything done in one go. First I visit Amy, the best hair stylist I have ever been to! She really pays attention to detail and when you tell her what you want, she gives you exactly what you asked for! I always come out pleased! I go back every two weeks for bang trims and those too are also always on point!
Next is Zina. She is great with the eyebrows! Still haven’t had a chance to book a facial, but her prices are out of this world and with her reviews, I cannot wait to book one! If they are anything like the way she does my brows, I am sure to be satisfied!

I go here for Zina who does facials. She is so lovely! She scrubs, squeezes, and soothes until my face shines. Love love love her.
