Ronald Woodard, MD

Dr. Woodard is as good as it gets. He became my doctor during my first pregnancy and I was incredibly happy with the care I received. I am typically a nervous and worrying patient, yet Dr. Woodard somehow put me at ease from day 1, and even put me at ease when I ended up having an unplanned c-​section. My concerns were always addressed, I always knew I was in very thorough and competent hands. He is one of the best, if not THE best, doctors I’ve seen, and still has an incredibly attentive and compassionate bedside manner. And his nurse, Claudia, is equally fantastic.

Dr. Woodard is a wonderful OBGYN and a kind person, I wish I could turn back time and had him as my doctor for my first pregnancy, but I’m relieved that I finally found an OBGYN that I trust and like. This is the first OBGYN where everything went smoothly as possible. For check ups, I thought pain and discomfort was just a natural part of the process, but with Woodard all my check ups have been surprisingly comfortable. The birth of my second child was also more calm. My first OBGYN wanted to put me in stir-​ups, laying flat on my back, and I hated it. When I was delivering my second child, a nurse asked Dr. Woodard if she should put stir-​ups on and said he does not like stir-​ups, they make it more difficult — which I agree. So I didn’t have stir-​ups and my delivery was less cumbersome and more comfortable! As long as I’m in LA, Dr. Woodard is going to be my go to doctor!

Dr. Woodard amd his nurse claudia are amazing! He has wonderful bedside manner and Claudia made me feel comfortable during my exam. (Which I was a nervous wreck) they made me laugh and very comforting. Everyone in that office is supper nice. even though I have no children yet he will be my ob when I get to that point. I have no complaints or bills pending ahaha

Dr. Woodard delivered my 2^nd child over two years ago. I had found him on the healthgrades website and saw back then (probably even more so now) he had 25 100% votes, and then read his 5 star reviews on Unilocal.He and Claudia deserve the perfect reviews. He’s an amazing surgeon, she’s an amazing nurse.
They are always available, always go out of their way to help.
They provided and continue to provide me with excellent medical care. You take one step into the office and you think a) competence, b) trust, c) they look more like soap opera stars – you know, like from General Hospital… :-)
Staff is really kind and competent; never had a problem with billing before.
Plenty of parking on the street and in back.

Awful, awful, awful experience with this office. I only went once in the beginning of my pregnancy since I was choosing doctor but their office kept sending me bills till end of my pregnancy. The doctor was late 45 minutes and in the visit he kept pushing for unnecessary tests. He convinced us to do 2 of them! I took the tests and the test result was supposed to go to their office since he assigned the test. Since I chose another doctor, I didn’t go to him anymore but Oh GOD, I called so many times to be able to get an answer for my results. I asked for a copy to be sent to me and they said they will charge for it! How hard is it to make a copy of a document and mailing it out? They had no problem sending me bill after bill! I would not recommend this office at all!

Dr. Woodard is a fantastic, personable doctor. I saw him for the 1^st time this year and have already sent someone else to him. So happy I found him and can call him, my doctor!

I HIGHLY recommend this office! I read a lot of reviews and did quite a bit of research before settling on a doctor when I found out I was pregnant, and I definitely made the right choice with Dr. Woodard and his staff.
From the beginning, I have had kind of a tough pregnancy, with a new problem or possible issue popping up nearly every check up. Dr. Woodard was always up front with me about everything, never sugar coating it but always maintaining a wonderful, calm, knowledgeable bedside manner. As things have progressed (and baby is now doing great! Two months to go!), they worked with me through it all, always there to answer questions or concerns and delivering top notch care.
Claudia is just wonderful, as other reviewers have said. In fact, everyone in the office was a joy to work with. They all knew my name and gave me personalized treatment each and every time I was there.
I’ve since relocated and had to leave this great group, and I will miss them terribly!

Dr. Woodard is phenomenal! He is the most compassionate, caring, empathetic physician you will ever have. Not only is he an expert in his field but he’s a human being. He takes his time, listens and addresses all of your concerns. Having a baby can be both exhilarating and frightening. As a true professional he takes the time to understand you and tailors his approach. As he delivered both of my kids I couldn’t have imagined my experience any other way. He kept me at ease the entire way.
I also have to add he has the BEST office staff Claudia his nurse is amazing. They make an excellent team.

4.5, but i’ll bump it up as it’s so rare to find a good ob/​gyn, let alone any physician. dr. woodard and claudia make an effort to treat u like an individual, not the next patient in line. they familiarize themselves with my record so they know why i’m coming in every 6 months, etc. they make sure my correct prescription gets called in to the pharmacy i want. when i call to ask questions, they’re super responsive and informational. dr. woodard explains everything to me and answers my questions intelligently. what a great find! so grateful to have found an office i trust and respect!

Dr. Woodard by far is the best doctor we have ever been to. He is truly Amazing. His knowlege, charisma and peaceful nature puts every patient at ease… love going to him. Claudia his nurse is simply the Best… Love her, very caring and supportive. Nikki the ultrasound tech at the office is just wonderful super sweet and informative. This team at the office is a gem, love them all!!!

This is a great office with great staff. Dr. Woodard delivered my first daughter in March of 2006 and it was such a memorable experience. Even though I ended up with an emergency c-​section, I have nothing but fond memories of my pregnancy, my prenatal care, and delivery do to Dr. Woodard’s wonderful bedside manner. He is just all around an amazing Dr. and person. I regret moving to the Inland Empire prior to my second pregnancy because it would have been an honor to go to Dr. Woodard’s office and have him deliver my second. I wish I could still go to his OB office, but I live to far away and we now have Kaiser insurance. It’s a total bummer for me, but I hope this review helps someone who may be considering Dr. Woodard. I highly recommend this doctor and you will not be disappointed.

This office is more than fabulous! The doctor is so kind, caring, thorough and makes you feel super comfortable. Claudia is one of the best parts of the entire visit, her enthusiasm, her zest for life, her remembering her patients and how lovely she is and makes you feel really special. Terrific experience every time I have an appointment here. If you need a new gynecologist, Dr. Woodard and his lovely team should be the one for you!

Oh my goodness. I LOVE Dr. Woodard and his staff. They are an A+ office. When you call for an appointment, you don’t have to wait forever to get an appointment. When you call to speak to a nurse, they either speak to you right at that second, or they call you back by the end of the day. He takes his time with you, answers all of you questions, and addresses all of your concerns. He has delivered by two children and I wouldn’t go with ANY other OB/​GYN. He is excellent and I recommend him to everyone!

I miss Dr. Woodard and Claudia.
They’re wonderful. We had our son at 27 weeks (who is now 7 yrs old going on 30). You won’t find another office quite like this.
If we lived nearby I would still be a patient here. If you’re fortunate to be in the area, I would suggest having him as your obgyn.

So far, i’ve only seen Dr. Woodard for one annual check-​up, and now for my 2^nd pregnancy.
But overall, i am so relieved to have found a good ob/​gyn! i was hesitant at first since he’s a guy (i preferred a female), but after my horrendous experience with my previous dr. for my 1^st pregnancy (who was a female), i just wanted a GOOD dr.
anyhow, i referred my a family friend to him, and she went through her entire pregnancy check-​ups with him and loved him.
His nurse, Claudia, is DA BOMB! She’s so caring and down-​to-​earth. The whole staff is excellent.
i have yet 7 more months to go, so for now, i give him 4 stars. He’s so gentle, waits to hear ALL your questions, actually dialogues with you, and calms you down.
If you’re looking for a good ob/​gyn in the la canada area, i totally recommend him.
i’m hoping to give him 5 stars after my delivery… we shall see.
