I wanted to remodel a couple of bathrooms in my rental property. I contacted the city for a permit and the city said that I need architectural drawings. I found Richard on Unilocal.He provided me with a very efficient service for a reasonable price. He finished the plans within 2 days as promised. He was very patient with me (I was a newbie dealing with an architect and I did not have any idea of what the city really wanted). Richard really helped me out. Thank you Richard!

Excellent service! I meet with Richard at his office in La Crescenta, from day 1 I liked him, and felt comfortable trusting him. Once he saw the project he quoted me an amazing price, which was much less than other quotes that I had received. The project itself was complicated and I was blown away by Richards patients, he even took the time to come to city hall with me on several occasions to meet with City inspectors.

Richard was kind, helpful, honest, prompt, and his rates were great. I used him to get a wall removal permitted for my home in Glendale, and he took care of the site, floor, and other plans needed. He handled everything with city. His rates were great, as I got several other bids. He was able to meet us right away and got the work done very quickly. I plan on contacting him again if I ever expand my house.

I’ve done several projects with Richard throughout the years. His very honest, knowledgable and very fair compared to other architects I’ve used previously. He promises a job to get done at a certain time and he sure gets it done. His work is very accurate and if there are changes, he’ll go out his way to make sure it’s done! He never charges extra fees for minor changes. His prices are very reasonable and I recommend Richard to anyone who wants a great architect for a great price. Keep up the great work! Thanks. Tiko

This is the first bad review I have ever written and I thought about whether to write it, but I think people should know before hiring Richard.
I originally hired Richard to do plans for our home remodel
He was very nice and kind and plans were done.
When it came time to submit the plans to the city, the measurements were all WRONG! by a few FEET!
I had to redo all the work and pay another architect to redo the plans.
When I called him and confronted him about this he told me to send him the new measurements and he will fix the plans. It is not my job to take measurements… that’s why I hired him!
Everything is fine if things go well, but if there are any mistakes I believe he should take responsibility, which he did not.

Mr. Diradourian took my drawings and made a design that met the requirements of the City of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety. His work and assistance during construction was great. I highly recommend Richard Diradourian.

Being a general contractor, my experience with Richard is awesome! His prices are reasonable, his experience is exceptional, and he offers options to keep cost from getting out of control.

I am in the process of an addition/​conversion project for my house in Calabasas, which brought me to work with Richard. If I had to say that I chose Richard initially because of his fair price and credentials, I just could not be happier when I actually started working with him.
As the 1^st time home owner also 1^st time to manage a big project, I was very stressed about this. I no longer felt stressful when Richard joined my efforts. This resulted from his knowledge, experiences, and importantly, a sense of humor. From his first site visit to return me the «as built“floor plan, it took him only 1 day. As a scientist who pays attention to every detail, I am also impressed by the rigorous quality work he returned. On day 2, he already drew out very creative ideas. As an architect, he has my interest/​personal budget in mind, and balances the 2 perfectly. This comes from his 40-year’s experiences. Not only he listens and realizes my ideas, he also guides me through the process. I felt very assuring when working with him. In addition, he is always very responsive to my calls and emails. He is generous to offer his knowledge even when I ask non-​architect related questions about my project — although he could have easily brushed me off, which he would have reason to. But he did not.
From him, I saw the work ethic I really respect. All in all, he is quiet but he is sharp and intelligent, most importantly, he is there for you. I will recommend Richard with a heart beat.

I actually found Richard on Unilocal as he has excellent reviews so I called him for a house on which our offer just got accepted.
This house is located in Glendale and it was small so we really needed to know if you could extend it and how it would work for the permits in Glendale. Richard came to the house to take a look at it and then, he contacted the right persons in the city of Glendale to provide us with the correct information and answers. He did a fabulous job and also really took the time to answer all our questions. We are extremely grateful for his help and expertise, Richard is very serious, honest, professional and reliable.

I highly recommend using Richard Diradourian as your architect. I am doing a remodel on my Van Nuys home and I was told that it could take five weeks to eight weeks obtain the permit. I was also told that I needed an Architect as well as an engineer for my project and possibly a «green specialist». The costs and permitting process seemed so overwhelming that I considered not adding on to my home. Then I met Richard, he made everything so simple. He’s a one-​stop shop. He drafted all the necessary plans and pulled all permits in one week from the time we first met. Richard Diradourian is who you need to call if your looking to remodel your home.

We needed an addition designed for our house to accommodate our in laws. Richard’s design made the addition look like it was originally built that way. Excellent design and excellent build. His price was very reasonable! I would recommend him to anyone who’s looking for a very good architect at good prices. Great guy as well!

I was looking for an architect and an engineer to help me get a permit to remove the ceiling in my living room in my new West Hollywood home. Other architects had given me crazy quotes. It was impossible within my budget.
When I met Richard, I told him how much budget I had and Richard found a great way to solve all my problems. he is extremely knowledgeable and thanks to him I got the permit and the final approval by the oh-​so-​picky West Hollywood inspectors. He’s done wonders on a friend’s house and I’ll gladly recommend him to anyone who’s looking for a good reliable architect. Richard did both the drawing and the engineering which also saved me the money and the time to find an engineer.

I have been working with Richard the past few months on a local project in Glendale. He is EXTREMELY knowledgeable in the area, and has been very helpful along the process. The city of Glendale has been a challenge, however with Richard’s help we were able to get our plans approved and proceed with our project. I will definitely be working with Richard on more projects in the near future. He is a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended.

There is a reason that Richard Diradourian is a member of the Glendale Fire Review Board and does the verbal reviews of new architects… he is a total professional and knows what he is doing.
Richard has worked on many projects for my wife and I and we have always been happy.
