In general the quality of pizza in Glendale and Ridgewood is always great, and this is obviously no exception. The first time I stopped by was for some quick takeout because I was hungry on my way home from school. I have to say, it’s any food going out is always quick and the pizza itself is tasty. Fairly priced, too. Nothing that will drain your wallet that much. When you eat in, the quality seems to be a smidgen better than that of anything going out, but is ready a bit slower. The wait is worth it though. The takeout can sometimes be a little greasy and the décor of the store is a little old fashioned, but that doesn’t really take much away from the overall quality of this pizza place. Definitely give it a try; it will not disappoint!

I’ve been going to this place for over 15 years and the food never disappoints. The customer service is outstanding as well. This is a family run business and they treat you like family. Sal Joe and Frankie are aces and this will continue top be my go to Pizza spot every time I’m back in town in good olé Queens baby!!! Chicken roll, cup of sauce and a black cherry soda… can’t go wrong.

I have been going to Pisa pizza for a very long time. Every time I am in NYC, it is very convenient to where I stay and they have been consistent for as long as I have been going there. The slice is fresh, hot and tasty. There is something to be said about the beauty of consistency.

Pizzas okay, to me the place isn’t very sanitary. They seem like they don’t practice proper sanitation procedures, via hand washing, equipment cleaning etc. But can’t complain if I need a quick bite to eat. Haven’t gotten food poisoning yet.

Honestly, I haven’t had Italian food this bad in a long time. The one thing that sucks about my neighborhood is that there are NO good pizza places! Seriously — what gives? If someone were to open up a really good Italian-style pizzeria in Ridgewood, it would go over so well. I am Italian, and I grew up in New Jersey with an overabundance of Italian food and moved in with my boyfriend for a few years in Howard Beach, where the italian food is top notch, so I am a bit biased. Honestly, though, I could have made better Italian food myself! We ordered their Sicilian pizza, which was way too greasy and cheesy. My bf and I couldn’t get through more than half a slice each. We also ordered a chicken roll, which was okay. Still, it was very greasy and too cheesy, and the fried chicken was way overcooked. Then we ordered a chicken parmesan entrée to split — we couldn’t get past the first few bites. The sauce was WAY too sweet — it tasted like they added half a can of sugar to it. The chicken was just overcooked and not very good. Lastly, it was LOADED with mozzarella cheese — normally not a bad thing, but our chicken parmesan literally arrived looking like a huge baked ziti with a bubbling mozzeralla top. I guess that they aren’t terrible, and maybe I’m venting in this review, but shouldn’t the bar be raised a bit higher? Ridgewood needs good italian food!

You just don’t know Unilocal… how hard I’ve searched… for an Italian place as good as this one. I had just come off the phone with another place who was charging me 2 dollars per shrimp in my order and didn’t accept credit cards. I was almost done with my search for the perfect Italian spot when my bf spotted this place on Unilocal. The guy on the phone was SUPER sweet and spoke actual English, and had no problem adding broccoli and shrimp to my order. The price was better than expected(30 bucks for 2 entrees, mozarella sticks and 2 orders garlic bread) so I knew we were on the right track. They arrived quickly and the guy even came up to bring it to my 3rd floor apartment! My shrimp penne alla vodka(no bacon just like I wanted it!) was tasty and left me stuffed. My bf’s chicken parm was great and left him unable to move from his food happiness. Def ordering from here again… probably tonight! *Update* This place still rocks. Their penne with garlic and oil was delicious and the delivery guy and dudes who pick up the phone there are so nice and polite it’s ridiculous. I love this place!

This is by far my favorite pizzeria in the area. They have all the usual toppings, but the BBQ chicken pizza is super delicious, try it. The staff is always super-nice and the place is always clean. They deliver too.

I hadn’t given it a thought for a long time, but turns out I had been here before. Now, I order from them regularly. I have had pizza from MANY of the pizzerias in the area. Roses, Glendale, Coratos, California Pizza Kitchen, Leone’s, Fortunata, Il Gusto Brick oven, and a few others. This one is the best, and they deliver.

Simply put, the pizzeria that taught me what pizza is all about. Been a regular since I was 7 and lived right around the corner. Sal and his family are great. The ambience is good ol’ neighborhood pizza shop, and the pizza and pasta dishes have consistently made me happy for 35+ years.

Good stuff, just stopped in for a bite. I still like Sal’s Original better, but this is one of the better pizzas I’ve had in the Glendale area.
