I too, like the prior reviwers, am a testament to Paul’s work and character. I was t-​boned by a driver and my AWD vehicle literally spun out, jumped the curb and the passenger rear end was wrapped around a street lamp. I picked my vehicle up from Paul’s and she is not only whole again but looks new! Not only does he work on both foreign and domestic vehicles, but Paul does an amazing job and is attentive to details for my car baby looks like she just came from a top plastic surgeons office. :) I am so happy that my significant other found Paul and with how he fixed my baby. Thank you Paul!

I have to add my positive review to the many listed before me. Because Paul’s Auto Body is honest, fairly priced, and does great work, there was a bit of a wait to get my fender bender fixed. Paul also kept the car for a while too to repair it. These were small sacrifices compared to the end result: My car looks fantastic!

Paul was really helpful. He took one look at my bumper and could tell what was done to it over the years by a prior owner. Paul couldn’t turn around the job for me quickly enough, as I needed the car back the same day, but gave me a recommendation to one of his colleagues who came through for me. So although Paul didn’t end up fixing my car for me, I’m dropping him a good review anyway for being an upstanding guy.

The previous reviewers weren’t kidding. This might be the nicest guy ever. Puddy may be the only honest mechanic in nyc, but this guy is so nice I wanted to have a beer with him.
Anyway, all I needed was to have a side mirror cover painted. Thanks to the snow, my driver side mirror was clipped while parked on Eliot Ave. Bought a replacement and needed the cover painted. I dropped it off midday and picked it up the next morning around 10. Price wasn’t cheap ($ 75), but it’s fair. No auto paint jobs are ever cheap.
It’s clear he knows his stuff. He was very familiar with the paint codes, knew my mirror isn’t entirely painted (black base is unpainted, only the cover is), and made sure I knew how to change the mirror.
Google doesn’t plot the address correctly. It’s not on 80^th St., it’s on Valentine’s Place (the dead end street off 80^th).
Just like a doctor, I hope I don’t have to go back to him, but I wouldn’t mind if I have to.

AMAZING! Go to this guy. He does incredible work! I was struck by stupidity one day parking in Manhattan and got the tip of my driver side door stuck on a tree and bent it very badly, my door wouldn’t shut properly. I was heartbroken as this car is only a year old and is my baby. I found Paul on Unilocal,all good reviews so thought I would stop by. He gave me an estimate in five minutes and said to bring my car by next Monday. I needed my car for a road trip that weekend, he said no problem.
Dropped my car off and he drove me to the train station. And my car was ready Wednesday night! He offered to pick me up in Forest Hills rather than having to walk or take the bus. Such a sweet guy.
And the work? Perfect! My door looks perfect! You would never know! Go to this man! He’s honest, fast, and does impeccable work. I’ve already started suggesting him to my friends. I am beyond satisfied. Thank you so much Paul!

Both my boyfriend and I took our cars there to fix some dents, scratches, and a bumper. Paul was professional, honest and did really great work. He went above and beyond and fixed some scratches that he did not quote us or charge us for. He also scraped off rust and sealed the under body without charging us. He was done on time and the cost was exactly war the estimate was.
His prices were extremely fair. We would recommend him to anyone.

Paul is awesome. I bought my new Nissan Murano and didn’t realized that there was old bird poop on the roof. I tried to removed the poop and found that it ate through the clear coat. To make a long story short, the dealer offered little help and I didnt want to deal with them anymore on this matter. Paul did a great job in the past on a part I needed painted for my Nissan Juke. So I went to him instead and he did a great great job blending the paint and buffing the clear coat so it looked like nothing ever happened. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone who needs auto body work done. He’s really good.

I got rear ended and did minor damage to the bumper of my Audi A4 2011. Paul gave me a quick estimate and turn around. The price was less than a quote I received at another shop.
He is a nice guy to boot!

since the vast majority of the NYC Unilocal community does not own a car, it’s hard to find a good shop for car repairs as the reviews are few and far between.
I gotta say, the small pool of 5-​star reviews for Paul is spot-​on.
anywho, my new truck’s front right fender took some damage recently and I needed it repaired. no major drivability problems but it wasn’t aesthetically appealing.
coincidentally, the following day I had off for a doctor’s appointment, so I brought it in for an estimate then (Friday). he gave me an estimate on time and price, and seemed very friendly, outgoing, and most of all honest.
since it’s just him working here, he said to call back the next week (on Wednesday) to see about his schedule. I did, and he said he could fit me into the garage on the following Monday. brought it in at 6 AM, right when he opens; got it back Thursday afternoon. he did a FANTASTIC job, definitely.
Glendale is a bit out of the way — it’s like a half hour walk here for me — but for the quality worksmanship, honesty, and price that I got from Paul, it was worth the exercise! plus it’s not like you’re walking through any bad areas. it’s fairly straightforward and there are a few buses that stop nearby too (if you know where the Atlas Park mall is, Paul’s shop is a few blocks away).
note that the entrance is on the tiny blink-and-you’ll-miss-it street called Valentine Place. it’s on your left if you’re coming down Cooper Ave from Woodhaven/​Metropolitan, so if you miss it, you’ll have to do some meandering through the streets of Glendale to get back there.

I had some scratches and scrapes on my black Maxima and Paul did a great job of buffing them out and hand painting the scrapes. The cost was very reasonable and Paul took the time to show me how to do it and even sold me the remaining paint in the can so that I can touch up my car next time myself.
I was impressed by how honest and fair Paul is and the work was done quickly but with care. I highly recommend this place and will be back if my car is damaged again (hopefully not!)

Paul did a fantastic job repairing my front bumper and a huge dent on my passenger side from my driveway gate. He gave me the best estimate of the other body shops and the work turned out great. He seems honest as far as mechanics go and he does the work himself unlike other body shop owners who sit in an office and parcel out the work to employees and then pretend that they know what’s wrong with your car. It took a little longer than I expected but I don’t mind waiting for quality work. I have more body work that needs to be done and I already know who I’m taking my car to.

Paul is the first body shop person I’ve ever trusted. I had a small scrape on a brand-​new car (6 weeks old) which ran the length of both passenger side doors. Paul was honest about what could and couldn’t be done. He gave me the best and worst case scenarios; and he met the best case. Now you can’t tell that there was ever any damage. He was polite, accomodating, and professional the entire time. Don’t be fooled by the side-​street location of the shop: he is legit and comes with my highest recommendation.

I went with paul after seeing all the reviews here and also after going to several other auto shops around the area. Paul quoted me by far the best price. Not only that he did a great job on my 05 Prius…
I needed to have both front and back bumpers replaced and also the rear view mirror glue back on after I foolishly used crazy glue and caused a sizable chip on the windshield. Paul (not sure what he used) worked his magic and somehow put it back on for me after all the other shops told me I had to replace the whole windshield. That alone saved me around $ 300…
Just keep in mind his shop is at an inconvenient location, not close to the subway. But its definitely worth the trek. And don’t be scared off by pauls colorful language! He’s a good dude! Thanks paul!

This guy knows what he’s doing! I was really impressed with his work. He gave me the best price out of all the other body shops, and did an excellent job on my Mazda CX-​9. The color Galaxy Gray is a bit tricky, but his work was flawless. He called me frequently to keep me in the loop, and did everything with my approval. The best experience I’ve ever had with someone’s service!
The main entrance is in the back on a dead end street right next to the Pizza place.

Coming home very late one day, I got rear-​ended by some guy who ended up driving off.
My damage was substantial, but mostly concentrated in the back of the car.
The other guy’s whole front of the car was totaled. Not even sure how he was able to drive off.
Anyways, I took my car to several body shops for an estimate, but ended up coming to Paul’s since he gave a fair estimate and seemed to be a nice genuine guy.
The car was done in less than a week and looking like it was brand new.
Could not even see anything wrong with it. And I’m a perfectionist. So that says a lot.
He does miracles!
He even gave me a lift to train when I stopped by on one occasion to check out the progress. How cool is that?
And recently, I had a minor accident in a parking lot where I scraped my driver’s side door and took the driver’s mirror off by hitting the column.
Yikes…
So I am without a doubt going to take it to Paul’s again.
One thing to note is how to get to the body shop. There’s a small dead-​end street called Valentines (or 79^th in google maps). That’s the back of the shop and that’s where you need to get to, to drop off your car.

I had an ugly dent the size of a softball in the corner of my trunk in a spot really tough to access since there was another sheet of metal layered closely behind that area. It’s actually a spot that I dented twice. Along with the dent there was a thick gash of chipped paint running across it.
Like the other reviewer noted Paul gave me a great quote, far more reasonable than I expected and even drove me to the subway after I dropped my car off.
I absolutely could not believe it when I picked up my car. It literally looked brand new. I couldn’t see a single trace of the dent or scratch. He blended it perfectly. Not only that, I worked out a deal for him to buff a few other scratches off my car. He did an excellent job at a great price.
This is my first ever review on Unilocal,I just felt compelled to write this review because he was that good and fair.

I visited around 10 different shops for quotes on how much it cost to fix a large, nasty dent in one of my doors. Paul gave me one of the best prices, and five months later, the repair still looks as good as new. I couldn’t have had a better experience.
Quick note: Despite the address, the shop’s entrance is actually on 79^th St off Cooper Ave.

I have a repair shop in Glendale, and I refer all of my customers to Paul’s because he does great work, and his prices are very affordable. Paul also did the body work on my fathers 1965 Mustang, and the paint is flawless! If you have a classic car that you need body work on, Paul is your guy! He takes the time to do all of the tedious wet/​dry sanding by hand and not with a machine. You can really see the difference his attention to detail makes in the finished product. (Note — the Mustang won best in class and best in show!)

I have to second what Jeff H. said. My car also is 18 years old and I wanted to get an ugly dent in the left rear quarter panel fixed without spending a ridiculous amount of money. I too went to three places, requesting them to please provide an estimate for as low a price as possible. Paul was the only person who provided an estimate reasonable enough for me to get the work done. I found Paul to be very pleasant, professional, and customer-​service oriented. Since the shop is in an area inconvenient to the public transportation I needed, he was even kind enough to drive me to the subway when I dropped off my car.
I was very happy with the job done. The paint matches perfectly, and almost three months later nothing has fallen off, or caved in, etc.
I highly recommend Paul’s Auto Body Collision Repair – It’s worth the trip to Middle Village.

Paul’s Auto Body Shop did a great job repairing the fender on my car which is 18 years old as well as matching the paint, and installing a new headlight assembly.
The main worker, Paul, is friendly, and honest. He gave me the best deal out of three body shops and did good work over a few days. I have reccomended him to two others for body work and they were just as impressed.
