After a long process of getting a number of quotes I decided to contact Pac-​West and Vardan came out to provide an estimate. What was brilliant about Vardan was his honesty about the equipment and the need for our condo. All the other quotes were for the largest HVAC whilst Vardan was honest and recommended a smaller unit which impacted the price.
Once we agreed on the pricing and instal date Vardan and his team came in and had the job done within a day. The install went really well they kept the condo clean and the overall quality was just brilliant.
I could not have asked for anything more from the team. They are courteous, professional and hard workers and perfectionist as well. They were really pedantic about how they put things together inside the cabinet.
Well worth your time to get these guys in and have them give you a quote and decide for yourself.

I called Vardan with a last minute request– not really knowing what I was asking for but hoping I could get my ancient wall heater updated with a thermostat. He knew exactly what I needed. He was at my place in no time getting the job done quickly and effectively (he even cleaned up around the installation site so it looked better than how he found it). Really quality guy– professional with excellent customer service. I will definitely be using him again.

I am in the process of selling my home and I needed a specialist to come out and address issues raised in my inspection report. Vardan came out and quickly diagnosed the problems. He even took time to come by my house on short notice at 6:00pm on a Saturday night. Very professional, Vardan got right to the issue despite challenges with the access to my unit in the attic. I was very happy with the service I received. Thanks again Pac West!

Two of my rooms were not cooling and Vartan came out the same day I called. He recommended a fix for a very fair price and we set an appointment and he came out when promised. Both rooms are now much cooler and he explained everything he was doing. I would call him again, but hopefully I won’t have to.

I called an a/​c place for service as I knew our system needed more freon, and they were going to have somebody come out and look. They didn’t know if they would have any freon along, and couldn’t give me a set time or day to come either. I asked if they at least could make sure that whoever came would bring along freon, because I knew we needed it, but the girl on the phone said that she would have no way of ensuring that. ??? I didn’t want to pay for a possible two service trips.
So I thought I would try phoning another place. called Pac-​West, and to my surprise, the guy said he would fit me in that day and would definitely have some freon along. Vartan came out the same day, added the freon, checked both units and didn’t charge me for checking the second one as it didn’t need service. A/​C was good and cold again, and thanks for Vartan for for his great service!

I am extremely pleased with Pac-​West Air Conditioning and Heating! Our AC broke during the heat wave. While other companies were too busy to bother returning my phone call, Pac-West’s owner, Vardan, patiently listened to my problem, and he was able to squeeze in some time to come to my house the next day. He was able to diagnose the problem quickly. Our 35+ years old furnace could no longer support the AC unit. He even drew a picture to walk me through what needed to be replaced. I like that he and his brother are both professional, efficient, and really know the business! Our AC is working great, and I am even hiring them back to install attic fans. They are also a locally family owned business, and I am a big supporter of that!

Vartan is great. We hired him to finish an already started job. We had someone else install our AC and were promised that it would be up to the proper standard so we could get a permit but eventually that contractor fell through and in general he was quite unreliable. A bunch of other guys didn’t even want to pick up our case but Vartan did. He was efficient, trust worthy, clearly understood all the rules and knew the right inspectors and within no time we had our tests complete and permit in hand. He’s a guy you want to hire. And from my understanding of the market he also doesn’t charge a lot.

Pac-​West Air came to the rescue!!!
Of course, the dreadful hunt for a good reliable and honest company had to happen right before a holiday weekend (4th of July) at my job. So I immediately went on Unilocal because its never LET me down!
So… I found Pac-​West and spoke to Vardan about our A/​C issue (I kind of rambled because I really didn’t know what the hell the issue was). He came the SAME day within 2 hours of calling for service. Vardan was so professional on the phone and came through with a guy just as awesome as him.
They came in and out. Looked at generators and diagnosed the issues immediately. Explained it all very thoroughly so we understood. Gave as a great deal and can’t say nothing but great things about his quality and service. Thanks to them we have a nice cool office again — without having to wait for days and days!
We paid with credit card — he used SQUARE and he advised he would email an invoice with details no later than 1 business day. Man of his word!!!

I have not had very good experience with contractors… building contractors, A/​C contractors, electrical contractors… So I’m always pretty skeptical.
BUT, meeting Vardan, from Pac-​West Air Conditioning changed my opinion that all of them are dishonest. Vardan is PROMPT, PATIENT, explains the issue, does HIS BEST to work with you on cost, and states, «if you can find some to this for less, I’ll do the work for free – this is the best price I can give you.» He came to diagnose our problem, put freon in our system, and give us a detailed explanation of what was wrong. I liked him so much I referred him to my mother, and he spent an hour trying to fix the problem to no avail – and then this is what sold me… he said, «No charge – I’m leaving you with a unit that doesn’t work, how can I charge you for that?» I was floored. HONEST, INTEGRITY, and he knows his business. I completely recommend this company for your A/​C and heating needs!

vartan at pac west has always been helpful & stands behind his work. at a recent occurence of a broken hvac unit, he went to the roof top unit and without being asked, he cleaned the unit, restarted it, cleaned the extremely dirty filter. Another service tech from another company did the same visit the day before & presented me with a 700.00 bill for a transformer & harness change out. those items were not even touchenor was there a need to — it was a blatant lie. moral of the story== when unsure, call vartan for the TRUTH… nathan r

Pac West Air Conditioning & Heating helped us out in just a moment’s notice. We had 40 people over to our house yesterday for an event and, of course, the day before the event, our air conditioning unit stopped working.
Vartan was able to come out the same day that I spoke to him, diagnosed our air conditioning problem and fixed it within an hour. He was on time, professional, respectful of our house, friendly and didn’t mind our dogs. As other Unilocalers have mentioned, he provided tips to avoid future problems. His pricing was not only reasonable, it was well below what others had quoted me.
