modifize is a staging and home re-​design company that specializes in helping our clients through the entire selling process with as little or as much help as you need.

Beginning with whatever elements work from your own ‘collection’, we eliminate what is NOT working and then add what we need to make the space come to life. We organize your existing items with an emphasis on function and design to achieve a space that is less cluttered, more visually stimulating and seemingly more spacious.

We can include the coordination of hiring the right storage system for temporarily removing unwanted items which may be cluttering your home and losing potential space, help with interior and exterior paint choices to help brighten your homes potential, update furniture, décor and artwork to modifize your space and coordinate rental furniture and décor to help stage any or all of your home.

History

Established in 2010.

Modifize was born out of being an Art Director and Prop Stylist, but when a friend needed her home that was going on the market to look better, I lent pieces of my own modern furniture and décor, stretched some fabric onto large canvases in order to create large and colorful (but budget conscious) artwork, and made the place look amazing — and it sold within the first two weeks! I’ve been staging and re-​designing with that concept in mind for two years; that it doesn’t have to take tens of thousands of dollars to get the staging looks you see on some design shows… a little bit of creativity goes a long way! I can help you get the look you want for getting your home sold quickly, or updating your current space for continued living.

I have a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and spent almost 15 years working in Set Design & Décor before opening Modifize. Set Design taught me how to come up with creative ideas on the fly and incorporate them with out having to spend astronomical amounts in the process. I’ve staged homes with some of the larger staging companies out there and what puts me and my small business into a different category is that I am passionate about helping the client with every step along the way. I can help decided what my clients should hold on to and what to eliminate, what to do with their personal items in the selling time-​frame so they’re spaces are de-​cluttered, coordinate and track all rentals and purchases and really make the process so much easier for for the client.
