Les P.
Business Owner
The major portion of Les Perkins’ professional life has been spent in association with The Walt Disney Company. In the 1970s, Les worked in The Archives, then became a Producer/Editor for Walt Disney Educational Media. In 1981, he began as a writer for Walt Disney Imagineering, where he also produced all the audio for The New Fantasyland renovations of 1983 – 84. This led to Les conceiving and developing the idea for a new operation, Disney Character Voices (Creative Director: 1988 – 1993), for supervising and maintaining the quality of character recordings worldwide.
Les moved to Disney Consumer Products overseeing the touring ice shows. In 1996, Warner Bros. hired Les to create an international dubbing operation based on his model for the Disney group he founded. In 1997, Les finally pursued his high school ambition to become a full-time editor. His association with Disney in that capacity continues, along with numerous other editorial clients creating award-winning projects.
