I just purchased a 2001 325i BMW that was at 170,000 miles. I was recommended to Kummrow by Carfeteria — where I got a new radio installed. It was the first time I went to Kummrow I knew I found the right place. I had gone to another repair place that stated the repair required and expensive part and then labor. Kummrow had the equipment to test what I needed and it ended up having nothing to do about the original quote. I then returned to Kummrow and asked to find out what the car needed and repair it. Well the results were exactly what owner Pat stated to me — we will return the car to new. I so love the style of this car and now I have the machanics to go with it! There is nothing better than driving a BMW with a repair team behind if you need. WOW — what a lucky find for me… and my car

Gotta give it to them for quality service, price, car knowledge and talking to you respectfully I.e., not condescending. I went initially for a quote on my BMW 7 series after the stellarship quoted me $ 1800 to repair. So, I got a second opinion and they were much less. But I went a step further and sourced the part myself, then took it to them. They did a great install, took me for a ride and showed me the difference and showed where a previously dealership had screwed up. (I got my $ back from them, which I know is rare.) I’m going back to let ‘me do more work because they know the car. A good sign of that was seeing 3 other BMWs in their shop. Ilya — they have cable now, but the coffee pot didn’t work and no snacks.

I give them 4 stars due to the lack of, cable or dish tv in waiting area. I guess I am spoiled by perks at dealers which charge more for a reason. Let’s face it though if you are waiting to get your car fixed at todays prices you want cable tv wifi coffee snacks etc. It’s like a long wait at the hospital while your BMW gets fixed, and gets better. The customer service here is great, and much lower pricing than dealers. The service people are full of know how, and really know their cars. They go out of thier way to make you feel you had the best experience. From answering all questions to pricing repairs much lower than the rest. I also enjoy the different BMW Magazines they have to look at. You can’t go wrong with them give them a try don’t take my word for it. I am now a new life long customer that found a repair shop I can trust with my BMW’s !

we have used these guys for years for BMW and Audi. They are incredibly honest and reasonable. On more than one occasion, they have tried low or even NO cost solutions before going for big repairs that may not be necessary. Very accommodating with scheduling as well.

I was referred to Kummrow by a former employer of Pat. Have to say I was not impressed; disappointed would be a better description. I needed a part I sourced replaced and was willing to pay the additional $ 30/​hr labor they tack on if they don’t source parts for you. They could have at least made sure they put the panels back correctly when they finished the job. It was immediately obvious to me when I picked up the car that no one in charge inspected the work before they called me to pick it up. .. I guess my ’82 didn’t warrant the same attention as the newer, pricier models they service. Plus, my door lock activators no longer work and my trunk no longer locks– and both worked before I brought the car in. Have such a bad taste in my mouth that I won’t bother going back. .. Clearly, «New Age Business, Old Time Values» is only a sales pitch, not a work ethic.

Pat and Rich are the best in the business when it comes to German import repair. When the timing belt broke in my VW GTI, I had it towed to the dealer where they recommended a new engine for $ 6000, which was more than I still owned on my car loan. On a friends tip, I decided to get a second opinion at Kummrow. After talking with Pat, he told me that they would scope the engine and let me know what kind of damage was done and if rebuilding was an option for a potentially much lower cost. After a day of diagnosis, I was informed that the engine could likely be rebuilt. After opening the thing up, the damage was rough, but with a bunch of new parts and about a week and a half of work, I was able to get the whole engine rebuilt, the clutch replaced, and a few other odds and ends for just under $ 5000. Not a cheap repair, but I’ve had all my work done here since and everything is top notch. I wouldn’t trust my car to anyone else!

I’ve brought my BMW here a few times for service that Concours right down the road wanted far too much money before. Kummrow has proven to me that they know a lot about the types of cars they specialize in, and their prices will delight you if you’re upset wtih Concours BMW and their ridiculous service costs.
Nobody looks forward to spending money for car upkeep, but it’s good to know there’s a dependable, knowledgeable, reputable shop to go to that’s right down the road from the dealer when it turns out you do have to pay for something.
5 stars given and review posted in response to them calling to follow up and see how the car is doing. I’ve never had a mechanic do that before! Very happy with their customer service.
