I feel like I need to call Unilocal to see if we can add more stars? The second that happens, I will be giving Kitchen 12 000 ten stars!!! Here is how the universe aligned for myself and Kitchen12000 to work together.
I was planning a party for my boyfriend’s 30^th birthday. Last minute (4 days before the party, to be more specific), I decided to have the party catered. I hopped on Unilocal to get some ideas of who to reach out to and Kitchen12000 was the first listing. I sent off a quick email and received a response almost IMMEDIATELY from Chelsea! I have never hired a caterer before, so I explained what I was sort of looking for without giving too much detail and received the first estimate. I must admit, the first estimate was way out of my price range, but I just explained Chelsea more of what I was aiming for and she sent me over a list (again, almost IMMEDIATELY) of things that hit the mark! I just picked a few items, sent the order to her and that was that.
Here is what was ordered:
1. Hummus with carmalized mushrooms
2. Caesar Salad
3. Beef Cheeks with cherry tomatoes
4. Cauliflower and Potato Smash
5. Roasted Seasonal Veggies
Payment was a breeze and Jerry took care of this with no problem at all.
The day of the party, the food arrived on time at 7:30 p.m. Since it was a surprise party, I was not physically at the venue, but a friend of mine texted me saying that the bread was missing for the hummus. I just sent her over the phone number and minutes later I received another text saying «Not to worry! Bread is on the way!» Michael brought the bread personally and made the effort to introduce himself to me and apologize. This was not a huge issue at all, but the fact that they made the effort to bring the bread back just spoke volumes of how awesome these people are.
BTW, my 80+ guests were FREAKING OUT over how good every single item was. My ego was boosted a little bit for picking the items, but let’s be real, Kitchen12000 deserves every single bit of credit.
Chelsea, Jerry and Michael: Working with you was such a pleasure and I am confident this is not the last time we will be working together. I will be referring anyone I know to Kitchen 12 000 and their 5 star rating is 100% deserved!!!

Wow! K12000 is as good as it gets when it comes to the catering world. We hired them to cater my 35^th birthday party and were blown away by their level of professionalism and knowledge of how to quickly navigate our home and figure out the best set up and décor for the party. They also came up with a creative menu– we wanted a Mediterranean theme and they put together a beautiful spread of kebabs, hummus, pita chips, dips, salad, and the presentation was so thoughtful it made you want to keep eating! Katy was the lead and she not only was on top of every detail, but also very sweet, punctual and just amazing at her job. You can tell she has been doing this awhile because she was a party planning expert. And they also provided amazing bartenders who were so much fun. We had two female bartenders and they came up with an amazing signature cocktail that the crowd kept drinking all night long– and they were so friendly and fun to have at the party. If I didnt have kids I’d probably want to apply for a job to work at K12000 because the entire team of caterers and bartenders in our home for several hours were all so cool and fun, and most importantly great at their jobs. Highly highly recommend to anyone looking for a top notch caterer.

We hired K12000 for our June wedding and could not have been happier with the entire process and result! First off, Nonee was fantastic to work with. She made everything super clear and simple to understand and if there was ever an issue she was on top of everything. Plus, when I couldn’t make it to a trial tasting, they all took fantastic care of my husband and sent him home with a TON of leftovers so I could do a mini trial myself at home — the food was just as amazing at home, too!
When it came down to finalizing our menu we worked with Jerry who made awesome suggestions while listening to what we had envisioned. We were beyond thrilled with how everything turned out at the wedding. The food tasted amazing, looked amazing, and all the staff were fantastic. We got so many compliments on not only the food but the servers, bartenders, etc. And aside from the awesome food, what really stood out to me was how easy they were to work with and how they helped make the whole even run smoothly and stress free. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone or hire them again for any event! Thank you!

I’m writing an open letter because that is how much i love you. After finally decompressing from the wedding i am here to say THANK YOU. I couldn’t imagine our wedding going any smoother. The food was so DELICIOUS people are still talking about it. Your staff was just top notch and i couldn’t have been happier with the decision. Everyone along the way was so professional and supportive and you guys executed a 5 star dinner. Thank you so so much. Looking forward to working with you again!!!

So, ignore my 5 stars above — the only reason there aren’t more stars is because Unilocal won’t let me. If I write a second review does that count as 10 stars? This company deserves it.
OMG. Everyone we worked with was amazing!!! I can’t say enough nice things about these guys.
We had originally had a different caterer, who, to make a long story short, didn’t work out at the last minute. And, at the last minute, not only was Michael Kay there to take our call, he calmed us down and told us to come see him the following day. He meant what he said when he told us not to worry. He really saved our wedding.
Not only did he save it, but I am genuinely grateful that the whole «other caterer» fiasco (and yes, it was a fiasco) happened because it allowed us to find Kitchen 12 000. Their food was incredible. Our tasting was some of the best food I’ve EVER had (and i eat out a lot).
Michael was our main contact person and pulled everything together, but we also directly worked with Jerry and Nonee, who were also amazing. Jerry came up with these specialty cocktails that were unique and yummy — we couldn’t give our guests enough! And Nonee is super organized, (something that i’m not) so she really helped me keep on schedule.
Our big day came — Michael, Jerry and team were there early prepping everything to perfection. His whole team was professional, friendly and efficient.
All night people showered us with compliments for our food.

Prawns de Provence finished with a Honey Chipotle Beurre Blanc
Harris Ranch Beef Sliders w/​Caramelized Onions, Sharp Cheddar Cheese, and Honey Dijon
Vegan Falafel with Habanero Tahini
Salad:
Mixed Greens with Seasonal Fruit, Candied Almonds, Vanilla Vinaigrette (with cheese on the side)
(Side note — we did not do the Kale Caesar because of the number of vegans at our wedding, but their Caesar was THE yummiest kale salad I have ever had ever. Try it. For reals. Can I get the recipe?)

Roasted Seasonal Vegetables with Brown Butter (Carrots and Asparagus)
Cauliflower and Potato Smash with Garlic Butter
Vegan Wild Rice
Mains:
Grilled Chicken Breast in a White Wine Reduction with Balsamic Reduction

Anyways, that was the flavor of our wedding (pun intended). These are the nicest human beings you’ll ever meet. Like, I want to be friends with them in real life. They are incredible. The food was incredible. And they were super professional. If you ever are lucky enough to work with these guys, you’ll be in good hands.

I wish I could give 10 stars to this team because they deserve it. From our first consult, they treated us like family. Nonee was professional, considerate, and a breath of fresh air with every form of contact we had with her, whether it was in person or on the phone. FIVE STARS HANDS DOWN! This catering company is the crème de la crème! The best company out there! They will take care of you no matter what! Michael and Nonee are the best. They are so fantastic and accommodating. The food is phenomenal and the décor and design is beyond perfect for any occasion. They are so professional to work with and cannot wait to have my own event working with them!

Michael, Nonee and Katie were fantastic. K12000 took care of the food for my wedding reception last week. We first met with K12000 a few months ago for a tasting and the entire company has been on the ball since then.
Everyone raved about the appetizers and entrees the night of and I even received calls and texts this past week about it. My wife and I were thrilled with the professionalism, quality and great attitude that everyone at K12000 had.
Nonee especially went above and beyond for us. We did the wedding without an official coordinator, so the day of the event, Nonee really made sure that everything was perfect while we were tied up. She was also courteous and helpful with all of our versions and changes. We were able to address problems and fix things quickly and the entire event went off without a hitch.
I recommend that anyone in the SoCal area that is looking for a caterer, give K12000 a chance.

I cannot thank Michael, Nonee, and their crew enough for the AMAZING job they did at our wedding! They were friendly, patient, and courteous through the entire process from start to finish! They went above and beyond visiting our venue to make sure the layout of the event was perfect for the space, providing gorgeous wooden tables and chairs that added to the rustic feel we wanted, and even running out the day of the wedding to get mixers for the bar that (oops) we said we would provide and didn’t! And the FOOD…
They listened to what we really wanted and created a menu tailored exactly to our tastes. I knew the menu and we had done a tasting so I knew the food would be good… but oh man… it was INCREDIBLE! The ingredients were fresh and local and the food was cooked to perfection. Not only did the food taste great, but the presentation was beautiful and their staff was on top of it! My parents couldn’t get over the fact that there were so many people walking around with hors d’oeuvres during the cocktail hour. they were all over the place! Our wedding was over a month ago and our guests are STILL raving about how delicious the food was. One of them even tracked down their restaurant in hopes to get another taste! My only regret is that I didn’t eat more of it!

I had wanted Kitchen12000 since October of 2012 & Nonee had sent me a proposal immediately as I expressed interest, but my fiancé was hesitant at the time and wanted to keep searching. 6 months later after another caterer we were hoping to secure gave us a much higher estimate than we wanted, it was back to my first choice.
Nonee still had the proposal & we just worked from there. Luckily, they were still available. Nonee is wonderful, she answers calls when she’s sick, she responds to your questions quickly & she is so friendly. Upon meeting her & Sarah for the venue walk-​through we were certain we made the right choice. These girls are beautiful, friendly and oh so professional. We attended a food tasting at their restaurant ATX in Glendale & it was amazing! They had us take notes on every dish & took our suggestions to heart to ensure that we were happy. They are truly passionate & care about their clients.
They were a huge component at our wedding & we had nothing to worry about. The food was oh so delicious, most guests raved about it to us afterwards. We are so very happy with kitchen12000 & their team. We love that they bring together, food, art & music at their restaurant & plan to visit them soon.

I just recently worked with Nonee and the team at Kitchen 12 000 at a wedding I coordinated in Rancho Palos Verdes. Leading up to the wedding and on the day of the event, the team was flawless! As a coordinator, you hope your caterer will be professional, come prepared, and serve quality food. The Kitchen 12 000 team went above any beyond to make my couple’s wedding perfect!
Nonee and Sarah were both great to work with, responded to my email and phone calls right away and were always happy to answer any questions that I had. They worked well with myself and all of the other vendors, making things run very smooth.
The food was amazing! All of the wedding guests were raving about the food and how great it was. There was a great selection and plenty of food for our guest count.

I attended my son’s wedding in Beverly Hills this weekend catered by Kitchen 12 000, and was delighted by the presentation and variety of food there. The food was not only delicious, it was beautiful, too. They did such an excellent job of incorporating local, in-​season produce with menu requests from the bride and groom.
The salad included fresh strawberries and peaches at the peak of perfection. The quinoa had mushrooms, tarragon, and other fresh herbs. The sauce on the mussels made mussel-​eaters out of people who had never even tried them before. The pommes-​frittes in truffle oil were exquisite! In other words, the food was talked about well into the evening. And what an evening it was!
I feel quite certain that K12000 is capable of achieving the best of everything they try. From taking your menu and making it better, to creating the menu you never even knew you were dreaming of… K12000 will listen to your requests and then add the ingredients, drama and personality needed to make it happen.

I have been working with Nonee over the last few months planning our wedding and every experience has been nothing short of fabulous. Each meeting I got more excited and most of all more RELAXED! Yes, relaxed planning my wedding :) I feel so blessed to be working with her & her team. With the wedding less than two weeks away I know that Nonee, Michael, Katy & Team will make our day a day no one will be able to forget, most importantly myself & my husband to be.

I recently hired Kitchen12000 for our company party and they really knocked it out of the park! Not only were they extremely professional, but they took care of everything and went above and beyond to make sure our holiday party was a huge success!

I was lucky enough to attend an event catered by Kitchen12000. The food was excellent and displayed beautifully. I am a huge fan of grilled meats and when I saw a variety of kebobs being served by the wonderful staff, I was the happiest person in the room.
The bar was stocked with premium spirits; the bartenders knew their drinks, set up a beautiful bar and were very fun to be around.
Nonee, Michael and he rest of the crew are extremely friendly and attentive, you can tell they like their job and make sure that you and your guests are having a great time.
I am glad that K12 is around and when I ever have to through a huge party, I know where to go.

Michael, Nonee and the K12000 crew did an extremely legit job on my wedding. My wife and I were definitely pleased with their services and let me tell you, there was a lot going on.
So let me tell you how this started… …as soon as I was tasked with looking for caterers from the wifey, I hit up K12000 and we were soon on our way to a private tasting at the K12000 headquarters. Michael greeted us at the door and welcomed us with open arms and a congratulations! We were given a tour of the space and then seated. This is where Michael came through with an onslaught of appetizers ranging from vegan to vegetarian to carnivorous delicacies and they blew our minds!!! I seriously could’ve just had an appetizer platter for all of our guests and I’m sure they would’ve been blown away — but that’s not my steeez — it’s a formal occasion and things must be coursed out. Next Michael came through with the salads, sides and entrees and it was definitely hard to decipher which ones we like best because they were all so delicious! Post dinner, we briefly discussed the options and how their system works. Once that was over, it was the countdown to the big day…
We had several meetings with the K12000 team and a meeting at the reception site and everyone was totally on board to make this event a smooth and memorable one. Their service was excellent and personable which made for better communication for the other vendors we had chose.
THE BIG DAY.
K12000 showed up on time in the wee hours of the morning ready to set up and prep for the big day. I on the other hand was blown away when I first stepped foot inside of the Vibiana because I had to do some posin’ for the photographers. The behind the scenes of what goes on to put a wedding together was mind blowing! K12000 not only did our catering but they handled much more such as the beautiful dance floor, tables, chairs, dinner settings, ice and more… so I would highly recommend asking about the rest of their services because they are highly resourceful.
During the cocktail hour, the K12000 team were rockin’ their uniforms while expediting the delicious appetizers. How did I know they were delicious? Not only because I tried all of them prior but because each server would get swarmed by my guests and they wouldn’t even be able to walk the full outdoors — Good Sign!!!
During dinner, all that I kept on hearing our guests rave about was the BRAISED BEEF otherwise known as the Beef Cheeks! Completely licked clean from every platter at the wedding!!! All of the other dishes were just as good but the Beef Cheeks were the hit of the evening! I’m sure there is so much more that I could add but that’s getting into the very fine details… …all you have to know is this, once you’re in their arms, they’ll go above and beyond to take care of you — no joke! We had a blast working with you and you made our wedding a memorable one!

Hands down thee best catering company I have ever experienced! I actually made a
account just so I could review them. Kitchen 12 000 catered a friend of mines wedding reception. I have worked in the restaurant industry for several years and could not believe the attention to detail that their wait staff displayed. They were on point with everything and my glass never went empty. The whole staff was very nice and very professional. Especially the bartender. I chatted it up with him for a bit, made really good drinks and was a real friendly guy.
Now, the food was outstanding! I really enjoyed the gorgonzola stuffed babybella mushrooms amongst all the other delicious dishes. I had a chance to meet the owners Michael and Nonee after the dinner while everyone was dancing. Not over exaggerating at all, they were probably the kindest people I every met. SUPER COOL, totally humble, and they even gave me food to take home.
I would recommend Kitchen 12 000 to anybody and everybody that wants their party to be a success!

I have not participated in a Kitchen 12 000 catered event yet, but I was very upset with their level of professionalism this past weekend, as a number of their employees started carrying huge bags of trash through the restaurant I was having lunch at.
What kind of idiots walk through someone else’s restaurant with bags of trash??? And then ignores the manager’s protests.
Stop being lazy and disrupting my lunch; and walk the extra 15 feet!
