Shop Jos. A. Bank Glendale, located at 635 W. Silver Spring Drive, for the best selection of men’s clothing, including men’s suits, sportswear, shoes, and accessories.
Well to start I have commonly bought a lot of my work clothes from Brooks Brothers and Men’s Wearhouse and gotten decent service. Normally BB being the better of the two but I can say at least both of them tried to help me. This location has proven to me now twice that I’m just an inconvenience to them and they don’t care to help. So first time was I bought some suits online and they turned out to be different than what the picture looked online and I wasn’t pleased with them. So I took them back and inquired about what they have in store that would match what I had in mind. Not only was I ignored about this they guy just processed my return and told me to have a good day. Wow thanks for the help. Guess a new sale wasn’t worth it to you. Then today after getting some pants online again for work i needed to exchange for a size bigger. Well I was the only person in the store and said«I would like to exchange for the size up». This was met with«oh he’s in the bathroom and will come in a little bit to help». Again I am ignored about doing an exchange. I then walked around and found some sweaters that looked nice and would have bought them. The gentleman I assume was supposed to help came from the back and stood at the register. I was completely ignored until I walked up and then instead of saying can I help you just says ok I’ll process the return. Come on. I wanted to exchange did either of you look?! I then made a comment about the sales and when they would end. He makes a snide comment about that he should know but doesn’t and looks it up and tells me end of month. Well I may come back for a sweater but I honestly doubt it. I can go buy it online and send it to myself seeing no one ever wants to help someone at this store. I need dress clothes for work and suits. I’ll be buying all my suits from a gentleman from now on in the 3rd Ward who does MTM as trying to pay $ 300 – 400 for their terrible service is getting old. At least he’ll listen to what I want.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Customer service is lacking. We were pushed into ordering sizes that were to big. Have had a tux before and was even questioned on shoe size. Picking up today and shocker everything is huge. Go anywhere else but don’t come here.

I expected to really hate this place, but ended up having a good experience. My boyfriend needed some new suits for job interviews. We previously had gotten suits at Men’s Warehouse and were not pleased with how they fit even after tailoring. We ended up walking in here, not expecting to purchase anything today, but walked out with 3 new suits. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that the store manager was helping us. She was very helpful and actually LISTENED to us, and listened that my boyfriend would not be wearing his pants at his belly button, and listened to the problems we had with fitting at other stores. She then knew what we needed to buy in order to fix those problems, and from there we were golden. What you need to know walking in here is that the suits are way way overpriced, and there’s near constant giant sales. They artificially inflate the prices just to have the giant sales and make people feel like they’re getting a deal. OK fine, as long as you know that going in, and only shop the sales, you should be OK. We got buy 1, get 2 free. And that even worked on suit separates, which was great since that’s what we needed to get in order to fit the way we wanted them to. We also got 3 free dress shirts, so can’t go wrong. After tailoring and tax and everything else, each suit came to about $ 330, which is about average and about what we expected to pay per suit. We were pleasantly surprised by the staff we worked with and our experience. I suspect your experience will depend GREATLY on the salesperson, and we got lucky. For as much as these suits cost, though, I was really surprised by the fitting room area. It’s very run down, worn, cramped and desperately needed a vacuuming, and there was only one straight-on mirror. It served its purpose but it definitely needed some major sprucing up. Despite that, we will be back when he needs another suit, since they keep his measurements and all that in their system. We’ll only be shopping there during major sales, though. Solid 3.5. Higher rating if the dressing room was up to snuff.

I’m very disappointed with Jos. A Bank, for their business practices in general and for the customer service at this location in particular. On the bright side, they have some pretty nice clothing. When I was shopping for a tie recently, I went to a half dozen other stores and Jos. A Bank had the best looking one. Unfortunately, it was $ 100, while ties that weren’t quite as perfect were in the $ 60 – 70 range at Brooks Brothers and $ 40 – 60 at Men’s Wearhouse. More frustrating was the customer service. The gentleman basically walked me over to the gigantic wall of ties, picked out two that were not at all what I described, and lurked nearby pretending to work while I assisted myself. He made a few attempts at small talk that left me wondering who exactly helps him get dressed in the morning, but he mostly just hassled me about signing up for the Jos A. Bank credit card. Clearly they get paid more for credit applications than for being helpful and competent. Regarding the company as a whole, I’m on their mailing list and they regularly send me coupons along the lines of 25% off. The fine print, of course, is that it excludes the Traveler’s Collection, which comprises about 80% of the inventory and 100% of things I was interested in. I’m curious as to what will happen now that Men’s Wearhouse and Jos. A Bank are merging. They’re only a few blocks apart and could close one or keep them tiered a la Banana Republic /Gap /Old Navy. Men’s Wearhouse has better dress shirts, prices, and customer service; Jos A. Bank has better ties and business casual sportswear /polos.

The salesman Rosco pushed me into buying crap suits while he shoved cookies into his mouth. Shiesters. I’m amazed this company has bullied, lied, and cheated it’s way to national prominence and a public listing. Never shop here. You will be dissatisfied. You don’t even save money compared with reasonable alternatives. Their promotions are likely their highest margin offerings. Do yourself a favor: buy a suit anywhere but here.

We’ve had nothing but top-notch service at this location, and both times we were helped by the store manager, Patricia. Joseph A Banks has great sales for high quality business clothes quite often. Right now there’s a sale where if you buy one suit, you get two more for free plus either a coat or three dress shirts. These sales are not uncommon. They send out e-mails alerting people to what great sales are going on at the time.

This store still practives deceitful practices. I went in on Saturday to purchase a few items and told my saleman that I had to have my pants done by Thursday. Of course when I returned my alterations were not done as promised. I spent over $ 700 there on that Saturday and was lied to so the saleman could make the sale. He knew that if I couldn’t get at least my pants by Thursday, I was walking out without purchasing anything. Buyer beware!
