History

Established in 2012.

Two years ago, we set out on a mission to create the health care practice of the future, one that would avoid the cookie-​cutter approach to patient care that has become popular of late, and rejuvenate the patient-​doctor relationship. Thanks to this core mission, Harmony Health MD has grown at a blistering pace with customers who value that same message: enough is enough, let physicians establish meaningful relationships with their patients. Thanks to the tremendous support of our patients and community, we are now adding the second physician at Harmony Health MD with the same exact ideals.

Dr. Andreh Carapiet is a Board Certified Internist who completed residency training at Mount Sinai School of Medicine at Elmhurst. For the past two years, Dr. Carapiet has been working as a dedicated hospitalist at nearby Arcadia Methodist Hospital. Now he moves into the next chapter in his life as the next torch-​bearer of the Vision here at Harmony Health MD.

Business Owner

Dr. Emil Avanes is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. After graduating from Burbank High School, he obtained his bachelor’s degree from Duke University and medical doctor degree from the Chicago Medical School. He then trained at Los Angeles County Harbor-​UCLA Medical Center and returned to Glendale in 2011.

Dr. Emil Avanes Serves on the district board of Los Angeles County Medical Association and is an active member of the American College of Physicians. As a primary care physician, Dr. Emil Avanes enjoys working with patients towards their optimal health goals. He seeks to engage patients at any level of health, empower them with knowledge, and enrich their personal health outcomes. Dr. Emil Avanes welcomes everyone to come and experience the care provided at Harmony Health MD.
