I prefer Gloria Jeans to Starbucks hands down. Sadly, the economy is causing one of my most favorite coffee places to close down in all the areas near me. I love their oreo cookie and caramel chiller… sigh.

Always been a fan! They get creative and I like that. Great, full flavored, not so bitter coffee with smiles. Just one cup will do to keep ya up and running. Every time I’m at the Galleria, I can smell this from about 10 stores away.

I went to the one in Burbank, but it won’t let me start one for it so i have to write it on here. I’m not a big coffee drinker, but I love their desserts! They serve one of the best pumpkin pies i have ever tried. they give u a decent size piece for like 4 bucks. They even put whip cream and cinnamon on it for free if you want. Today i tried one of their new Carrot Cake bars and with tax it was only $ 3.28! It was really good. They have the cute lil edible icing carrot decoration on top of the delicious cream cheese frosting. sometimes places don’t get the icing right or the spice to carrot ratio right either but this was just perfect. Which is what made me right the review just now. :p Anyway, this place is better than Starbucks for homemade tasty treats at a more reasonable price. The servers there are friendly too. I will definitely be back!

Three words. MINTCHOCOLATEBOMB. Order it. Savor it. In high school, my best friend and I would have this every weekend, topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. It’s like a peppermint mocha ice blended, only better than any version I’ve found at Starbucks or The Coffee Bean. They blend the ice completely, so there’s never any chunks at the bottom of the drink. They also blend peppermint patties in there, which creates the perfect MINT flavor. It’s not overpowering, it complements the chocolate mocha — a beautiful symphony of tastes. The whole thing is frothy and goes down smooth. If only there were more locations of Gloria Jean’s out there, then I would have this drink every weekend as in my high school days. Unfortunately, the only two I know of are this one and one in Mission Viejo/South OC.

starbucks shmarbucks! this place rocks! by some ungodly twist of events, i found myself at the northridge mall… and lo & behold! right across the way from where the disney store used to be… gloria jeans! i ordered a blended mocha caramelatte(?)…and it was good… real good… fantastic! instead of all the ice gathering on the bottom of the cup(like starbucks)…my drink was frothy and well blended until the very last drop. only drawback is it’s too damn expensive! but such a delight…

It’s a chain. It’s in a mall. And it’s really good. Gloria Jean’s is a cut above Starbucks and even the more famous Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. The limited-time blended drinks are very creative, often combining fruits with coffee that may seem strange at first, but the two contrasting flavors complement each other well. Gloria Jean’s also serves a great assortment of cheesecakes and other pastries. It is located near the entrance of the food court in the older Galleria wing. Glendale is also one of the easier malls to get to without a car. Transit access: Metro Rapid 780, and Local lines 92, 180/181, 183, 201 and 603; and Glendale Beeline lines 1 – 6 and Brand Boulevard Metrolink Express shuttle.
