Excelsior Condominium

Almost two years ago I decided to finally make the plunge into homeownership and here is where I ended selling my soul to for the next 3 decades. I grew up the son of a real estate agent so I’ve been going to open houses and new housing developments since I could walk… probably before.
Upon my first visit (with my dad) we both agreed that this was one of the nicest housing developments we’ve ever seen. The build quality was very high, it was beautifully executed and the builder really spared no expense on each unit. Some of the highlights that really sold me: motion sensors in all the bathrooms (lights turn on when you walk in), auto closing drawers and cabinets (push the cabinet or drawer closed and right before they close the door/​drawer slows down and gently closes itself so they are impossible to slam), and great amenities (good size gym, discounts at a lot of the stores at the mall, free parking for your guests and my fav of all the ability to drop off my keys to my Lobby Ambassador for a car wash… someone picks up the keys, washes my car and puts it right back in my spot).
After I moved in there were a few things that kind of dimmed the luster of my experience like since we have wood floors, the noise from neighbor above echoes and get be kind of annoying. Also I didn’t realized until after I moved in that there is a fire station down Colorado. So fire trucks and ambulances drive by, sirens wailing, on a daily basis. The double pane windows kill most of the noise but if on a hot day you open your windows or screen door… it can get loud and annoying fast. And lastly, though you can validate your guests… you have to do so by 10 when the main desk closes. If you miss that deadline (like I have a few times) it can be a serious pain in the ass to get it comped.
Other than that, I still rate the condo very highly. Every place you life has pros and cons and while it isn’t perfect I don’t regret my purchase at all.

My friend lives here and I visit often enough to say I’M JEALOUS.
There is a pool, fun room to relax and watch tv and play pool (game room), gym, and a room to have special events. The people in the condo also have access to the Apartment utilities. WIN!
And they’re nice and high end!
This place is pricey but oh man, it’s gorgeous. My friend has a beautiful condo — two bedroom and both have walk in closets. WIN.
The kitchen is new style and everything is wood. I’m in love with this place.
You get two parking spaces and it’s IN the Americana. Across from LA Creamery and Crumbs!!! And nearby lots of food.
If you have guests visit, they can park in the Americana or Glendale Galleria. You can give them all day validation as well.
I’M JEALOUS. I want to live here.
This is a beautiful place.
Four stars because it’s pricey as heck… but you pay for the lifestyle around the condo. Sigh.
