Meet the Business Owner

Jim S.

Business Owner

Jim is President of Cornerstone Preferred Insurance Services, located in downtown Glendale, California.

In 1982, Jim entered the insurance industry with a local agency, just one week after marrying his Jr. High sweetheart Kristen. In 1984, after graduating from UCLA with a degree in History, he went to work with Crescenta Valley Insurance Agency prior to joining Knight Insurance Agency in Glendale in 1987. In 1994, Jim joined Golden Pacific Insurance Services in Pasadena, serving as Vice-​President prior to his decision to fulfill a lifelong dream in starting Cornerstone Preferred Insurance Services.

Jim also served several years on the local Board of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers Association, serving as President in 1993. He diligently works to grow in his professional knowledge, as manifested in his earning his Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 2002.
