Comfort Suites Univ. of Phoenix Stadium Area

A little spendy but every staff member I have encountered is very nice and helpful. The young man who works over night was very good and quick at his job and I really appreciated that at 1 in the morning!
Breakfast is very good and the rooms are very clean. I’m very happy with my stay.

I am being generous by giving two stars to be honest. The low rating is primarily for the awful customer service we received. The facility itself is adequate nothing special. I booked two rooms through a third party and had a confirmation number on an email. When I arrived they said the reservation was wrong and had only one room available in the moment. They eventually got us a second room but it was very inconvenient since they were now far away from each other and we were traveling with little ones. After we checked out they then charged my credit card for three rooms. After multiple attempts at contacting them for a refund nearly two months later they called me back saying the charge was for a «no-​show» fee and incidentals. I asked they explain the incidental charge and none of the math made since. The woman I spoke to was very rude unfortunately. I called the third party company who was able to take care of it instantly (
) but they said the hotel could have handled it right away since the hotel made the error. Two months is a long time to have a whole room outstanding on my credit card. My family and I will not be returning. After reading other poor reviews most had same thug in common, the hotel mismanaging accounts and not issuing refunds quickly — awful way to do business.

Love love love this place! We usually stay in hotels after the Cardinals games, and we usually stayed at the Mariott or Hampton in the Glendale entertainment district, but we discovered this hotel by accident after the last game, and went in to see if there was a room available. They greeted us with a warm cookie and a room ready! Out of all the hotels that we normally stay at, this hotel far surpasses them all. It’s super clean, the beds are actually VERY comfy, and they offer free wifi AND a free HOT breakfast!
Although it is a five minute drive from the University of Phoenix Stadium, we will be staying at this hotel for every game going forward. It’s a total gem!
The customer service is outstanding (Matt is the best) and the prices are hard to beat!
We will only use this hotel now!

Great Hotel & 5 Star for Price, Quality of Rooms & Facilities. Very newish and modern & Clean Pool & Jacuzzi. Waiter temperatures set perfect for 89 degrees outdoor high on Saturday. Free Breakfast Area good size, and plenty to eat, good variety and very fresh food. Especially like them grilled waffles: Blueberry or regular batter. Room very clean and sleeps 6 with large unfolding couch bed too. Whole facility looks new and very clean. My wife’s sister lives close by and when we visit this is our place to stay.

A recent 4 night stay in the area while going to spring training games was really good. The location is key-​about a mile from Camelback Ranch and not far from the Westgate area.
The location is clean, modern, and the pool was probably the highlight as it was unseasonably warm during our stay (95 each day) and the cool off was perfect!
Breakfast was good and this is a well run place that I recommend to anyone staying in the area with or without a family.

Location is great, the rooms were clean, appear to be updated and the staff was very friendly. I love the shuttle that will take you to local restaurant and the local ball parks major plus. Why the two stars there are three things wrong with this hotel. Major issue is the manager, he’s not responsive and he passes the buck! A manger is someone who take responsibility they do not put things in their employees. Anthony did not once reach out to us to help us resolve our problem it was us calling him tracking him down. Too bad the hotel and the rest of the staff were very nice. The other two items are the breakfast needs to be mixed up a little, add some bacon maybe a variety of bagels some other fruit juices. Also lastly the windows need to be insulated the sound from the freeway is very loud. Thank you ladies for all your help.

had a great personal experience at your hotel/​suite. The front of house staff was very educated on the local area and sent me to a handful of great local restaurants and nightlife establishments. The local life nightlife in town is important to my experience for my overall trip. So for the places the girl at the front desk recommended to be fun and inviting was an added plus. Usually I have to visit many local places to find where the fun and desirable establishments are located. She new the local scene. She was very personable and was a pleasure to speak with. I appreciated the restaurant in the hotel itself, they took care of all my needs. Everyone in general was very nice and polite. My suite was very nice. Every time I left I came back to a clean and well dressed room. Im kind of a clean freak, so to come back to a clean bathroom and vacuumed room meant a lot to me. My bed was very comfortable and the furniture was also. The internet connection was to my satisfaction. My overall experience was great and I would recommend your hotel to my friends and coworkers.

Comfort, convenience and affordability… that’s what you’ll get from this hotel.
Pluses:
Free shuttle to places in a reasonable radius; like the Cardinals stadium,
arena or AK — Chin Pavilion — which was where the concert we were in town for was happening.
Free hot breakfast… came in handy the morning after the concert There are also plenty of decent places to eat fairly nearby… just in case FREE does not mean the same to you as it does to me.
Friendly staff — both of the desk clerks I dealt with were extremely nice and seemed genuinely concerned about taking care of guests.
The only minus I can point out is the shower curtain. It was oddly short, barely reached the top of the tub and hardly contained the shower stream. They are obviously not as concerned with keeping the housekeeping staff as happy as the guests.
As long as you don’t expect spa treatments or bellhops this hotel will fit your needs well if you need it for a concert or a Cardinals gane.

I stayed here the evening of Nov. 19^th and actually had a pretty comfortable evening. The shuttle service was a very nice amenity, but when i looked at my credit card the following Saturday i was very disappointed. I was charged a smoking fee of over $ 175 for a room that i NEVER smoked in. In all fairness, I am a smoker, but i have never smoked in a hotel or even my own home for that matter. I started contacting the hotel that Saturday and they told me i would have to get ahold of the GM the following Monday, and i did. I told him my concerns and he said he would look into it for me and follow up with me within 48 hours. He never did! As of today, i have left somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 – 7 voicemails and a hand written note, with not even so much as a call back from the GM. It’s been nearly 3 weeks!!! I was very satisfied when i left and had planned on staying here again the next time I was in Glendale, but after this experience and the unprofessionlism that followed, i will look elsewhere. Moral of this review is that if you are a smoker, bring a clean set of clothes to change into because if they see that you’re a smoker they will just add the smoking fee to anyone and never show proof/​validity to the fact you smoked in one of the rooms.

Stayed here Fri-​Sun apparently during record breaking heat of 113. Hotel was immaculate. Clean. Quiet. Breakfast was outstanding with; waffle maker with blueberry or strawberry toppings, eggs, really good bacon, delicious hash brown potatoes, biscuits & gravy, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, muffins, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, o.j., apple juice. The only issue for me was the breakfast area was really busy and crowded to move around. In the lobby there is free coffee 24hrs along with water that has fresh berries in it. My daughter and i loved the cookies at the front desk. Nice touch. When we checked out there was a «soulful» church service going on. Im so glad we checked out before this. It was really obnoxious. Really!!! Then the «church goers» hung around in the lobby harassing and flirting with the front desk girl. Ick. I absolutely loved the front desk girls… They were sweethearts. Great customer service! The rooms facing the Dennys and Culvers don’t provide good views but i’d rather have that than the highway. We got 10% off @Dennys with our room key. We loved the pool. Small but perfect. Grab a noodle and float around. The pool guy was out early both days cleaning it and prepping the chairs with fresh towels. We went to Westgate and got picked up by the shuttle @945pm… The maintenance guy is the driver. This is a GREAT bonus to their services!!! Available service within a 7 mile radius. Beds were a bit firm for me and lighting in the bathroom was horrible. Shower was clean. Elevators were a little rickety and swayed at times. My daughter and i got scared. Not good.

Love this hotel! Very kid friendly, breakfast was great and economical. Close to many restaurants and right off the freeway for easy access. Very clean and modern. Pool was clean and good size but towels very small.

We have stayed in many Comfort Inns/​Suites around the country the past ten years and this is one of the nicest!

Probably 3−½ stars but since we didn’t take advantage of snacks or breakfast (since others say they are very good), I’ll bump it up to a 4. The staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean and in good shape. The only negative was either a noisy neighbor or thin walls which was tough at 630 am when their tv/​talking started. The location was central to everything we needed and we’d stay again when visiting family that live nearby.

Very nice stay! Clean rooms, good breakfast, complimentary snack in the afternoon, and good bedding. Right off the 101 so, it was easy to find. We’d stay here again.

We stayed here prior to a concert and this was a very comfortable room and hotel. Great breakfast, better than some of the other comfort inns. Quiet, great location, nice staff. I will stay here again if the opportunity presents itself

On first appearance this hotel is your typical franchise hotel inside and out. From the gold rating you would assume that the customer service would be outstanding and it is. Ive stayed one night and really enjoyed the clean room and free (continental buffet) breakfast. So why am I giving them such a low rating? Management is less to be desired. The GM is the week link and the results will be the loss of their gold status. Too bad too because the rest of the staff Rocks!

Any hotel that is willing to drive it’s customers to a concert and then pick them up deserves five stars. The rooms were also nice and clean.

An excellent home away from home.
This property is close to the Glendale Sports Complex, home of the University of Phoenix football stadium. I stayed here on a weekend when there was a major paintball event, a wrestling event and a womens spiritual event were all taking place at the same time. And everyone decided to stay at this property.
The staff was very gracious. Despite being understaffed for the weekend influx of all these diverse events, the staff was unflapable. This goes for the front desk and the gentleman handling the breakfast buffet. The rooms were generous in size. In fact, three big boys in one room with two twin beds and one fold out couch were very comfortable.
Paintballers are really a thrifty bunch of folks (unless we are sponsered) and initially the price of almost $ 160.00 a nite caught me off guard. Given the fact this is obviously a very brand new property and the free breakfast helped to keep our costs down a bit, this really a good value for the amenities.
I would reccomend this place to you cheap ass ballers on the road. Figure it out: 3 of you in a room comes to 55 each. Plus you can get your grub on before you mow some faces at the PSP event. Dig into your couch cushions and cash in your bottles. This place beats Super 8 any day.
