History

Established in 1993.

I started my practice to provide aggressive and intelligent advocacy to criminal defendants against the state and federal governments. Over time, I have become an expert in police corruption and gang cases. I defend my clients in every conceivable stage of the criminal justice system and in a variety of courts. The past 22 years has provided me with priceless knowledge and industry know-​how difficult to find in the current marketplace.

About 10 years ago, I began to notice my clients holding professional licenses needed the same level of advocacy defending their licenses and livelihoods as they did their freedom. Since then, I have provided the same quality representation for doctors, nurses, veterinarians and various licensed agents in establishing (application denials) and saving (disciplinary proceedings) countless careers.

Most important, my staff and I are dedicated to providing clients with peace of mind during a time they need it most.

I’ve lived in California my whole life, graduating from UCLA in 1987 with a political science degree and Pepperdine University School of Law in 1992. Since then, I have practiced exclusively in criminal defense and licensing defense law, determined to protect my clients from intrusive government conduct, whether it be keeping them out of prison or reinstating their medical license.

Through this unique focus, I have learned effective trial techniques proven invaluable to my clients. I am an expert in gang and police corruption cases and am proud to have been one of the first attorneys to have a client released from prison in the Rampart Scandal. I’ve applied this expertise to licensing defense, using my trial skills in front of the California Medical Board, Nursing Board, Insurance Board and several other licensing agencies.

I emphasize aggressive, knowledgeable, confident and discreet advocacy to give my clients a peace of mind other attorneys simply cannot provide.
