We had a horrible mess under our house when a sewer line was backed up. The smell was awful and the mess. BCS did a great job cleaning under the house (not a easy task) it was a crawl space. They got rid of the smell and the debris and it looked like a new floor when they finished it. (dirt) The guys were very nice and accommodating.
The job took several weeks of blowers and Hepa filters but they got it done! No more smell no more debris. The whole work team was great! They took photos and showed me the progress. I highly recommend them!

I cannot recommend this company enough! My sister-​in-​law used them a few years ago and referred them to us when we discovered some serious mold issues in our bathroom and bedroom. We also discovered large raccoon droppings in the basement crawl space and they were able to take care of that without kicking up any dust into the house. Everyone I’ve encountered so far has been very pleasant– Kahty, Geovany, Garrison, Rosindo, Mr. Hernandez. Exceptional work, very professional, punctual, thorough and reasonably priced.

Really tired of their email spam with no link to remove. I have emailed repeatedly and asked not to be contacted but I get email to my work address all the time. I will never go with a service that spams me so they are doing themselves a disservice.

I will give a 0 star if i have that option. I chose their service because they have such good reviews on Unilocal and their website look professional. However, there were couple ladies came to our office. They didn’t know how to clean and they didn’t have any proper tool to clean. We ended up asked them to leave and paid half. It was wasted of time.

We use Building Cleaning Services at the company where I work (and have been for the last few years). They are consistently great and professional. Alan still calls us regularly to make sure we are happy with the services. If there is every anything that is an issue or needs special attention, they are accessible and make sure everything is taken care of. They come on a weekly basis to clean several offices, studios and a couple bathrooms and everything is always clean. Their prices are reasonable and we have never had a problem.
I would highly recommend working with them. I see they did not need another 5 star review but I thought it couldn’t hurt! I think it is important to appreciate a business that successfully conducts itself both with friendliness and professionalism. Everyone needs to take a tip from BCS!

We hired BCS to deliver air scrubbers and to clean following an extremely dusty floor replacement project. Our business runs on a tight schedule and had to be up and running the very next day. BCS had two crews arrive at 6am just as scheduled — one to do the «high» areas, and another to do the areas below 8′. We have several areas with exposed ceiling with lots of pipes and ductwork and cabinetry and the high crew did a superb job cleaning all these hard to reach areas. It is now probably cleaner than when we moved in! The low crew did a great job as well. They cleaned areas that I wouldn’t have even thought to clean…
They were very accommodating about rescheduling the job and coordinating it for an exact time to synchronize with the contractors’ schedules. The price was fair and the entire experience was positive from beginning to end.

I hired BCS a few years ago — before I was a Unilocaler — and they were great. From the crew to the back office, everyone was professional, on time, fair and friendly. They took care of our water intrusion issue and made a bad situation so much easier to handle. They actually care about their work and doing a good job. A rare find.

I had a great experience with Building Cleaning Services from start to finish during the mold removal process at my home. They were very thorough in their evaluation and I never felt like they were trying to jerk me around to make a buck. I always felt like they were upfront and honest about everything, which goes a long way in my book. Garrison was the project manager and he was happy to answer the thousands of questions that I had, and the 2 gentlemen who actually did the work were kind and courteous, and they also did a great job of cleaning up afterward. The project was actually finished a bit earlier than planned. I can’t say enough good things about BCS!

These guys are great! They do a fantastic job at our office day in and day out. Whatever we need help with, they’re able to accommodate it. Could not say more positive things about Building Cleanings Services.

The entire crew from Building Cleaning Services was professional and highly skilled. We were in a very tough situation with the black water intrusion and mold situation in our house, but helped to get our home back to normal. I can sleep better at night knowing that a good job was done in our home.
I would highly recommend these folks to anyone. We received several quotes and some were lower than BCS, but no other company demonstrated the same depth of knowledge and that gave us confidence that they knew what they were doing.

These gentlemen helped me remediate mold at my house, and then dry out a huge water leak before mold could form at my wife’s family’s house – in the span of about a month. Their service was responsive, fast, professional, and courteous. They answered any question that I had, and the pricing was transparent and understandable.
I really couldn’t have been happier. They made the best out of two dicey situations.

Having to deal with mold and water damage is a real downer — but BCS got me through the mess about as well as could be imagined.
I chose BCS over another remediation contractor, even though the BCS estimate was somewhat higher, because BCS looked like they were «on the ball» and motivated to do a great job. In particular, compared to the other contractor, I noticed that BCS took more time in checking out my place, and in explaining to me what they were thinking. Then, they rewarded my confidence by actually doing a great job.
Jeff, Rosendo, Kathy in the office, and everybody else were reliable and courteous. They explained what was going on, and they were always available and responsive whenever I needed to get ahold of them.
Best of all: in my case, their remediation work was so effective, there was no remaining trace of mold that could be detected when the post-​remediation testing was done. As I understand it, it’s rare and unnecessary to have a zero reading in order for the remediation to be considered adequate, but they managed to deliver a zero reading for me and you can’t get better than that. I would use them again.

First mold project — ack!
After nearly being side-​swiped by a different remediation company who was a) way less informative b) much more aggressive with their approach (like ripping apart my shower) and c) much more expensive, I reached out for other bids and BCS came up with the best price and the most sensible approach. Jeff showed up very quickly after I called and was able to explain the basics of mold in a manner that jived with what I was reading online from sites like the CDC, and he was able to put our situation into perspective for me. He also was able to explain the whole process thoroughly and provide recommendations when I needed them, but without the pressure of using a company just because he recommended it. Btw — Jeff is the sales/​project management guy, so that’s likely the last time you’ll see him b/​c he’s off to sell other jobs, but he always answers the phone quickly when you need something. They sent Rocindo out to do the actual job. He was polite, also informative and helpful (he even removed a dead mouse under the house for us and told us about another problem related to our dryer that we need to fix).
We failed our first inspection, which then led to a hunt for a second source of mold, which ended up being under the house on the sub-​floor. Had we not gone through this thorough process we likely would have never found that, and since it is directly under our bathroom/​bedroom who knows how long we could have been inhaling it. (Sometimes failing is good!)
I should also mention that Kathy in the office is a sweetheart and was able to bill a debit card (asking my approval for each charge) so I didn’t have to keep writing checks.
Overall, I think once we found BCS the experience was as painless as one could expect to remediate mold in two locations. I would definitely recommend BCS.

We used a separate inspection company who referred us to BCS, among other mold remediation services. We got quotes from three remediation services and Sheldon from BCS was by far more thorough and helpful. We had mold in the kitchen and bathroom and the original inspection company provided suggestions for remediation. When Sheldon came by to give us an estimate he actually helped save us some money by suggesting some less costly (but equally effective) alternatives for remediation. BCS’s crew came in and took care of the mold and passed the post-​remediation inspection with flying colors. We would definitely use BCS if we have mold problems again.

We just purchased a townhome in westwood. We knew that we had mold before we purchased, quite a bit of mold in every room.
Sheldon from Building Cleaning Services came out multiple times throughout our escrow, partial self demo and final pre-​mold remediation. He had a lot of patience and advice. He also reworked his quote each time without us having yet signed and committed.
During the process, he was upfront and fair about any add on work. We had his guys working for almost 2 weeks. We never received a single noise or nuisance complaint from any of the HOA neighbors. His crew was respectful and professional.
Upon completion, we received completely fresh smelling, clean unit. Our mold testing passed immediately. They kept it as contained as possible but we felt 100% confident in their thoroughness.
They may not be the «cheapest» upfront, but in the long run I think it pays off. They are completely trustworthy, fair and safe. Complete insurance. Complete care. My husband will be receiving a stem cell transplant so containing mold is something crucial for his recovery at home. We feel safe now.

I cannot say enough good things about this company.
I have used them three times over the past 7 years. Obviously, I have exterior leaks from time to time.
Recently, after the last hard driving rain, I noticed a bit of staining on the drywall over my front door. I know from past experience that this is a big red flag, even though there was no musty odor. Staining means that moisture is in the wall. Mold grows in 24 hours.
It doesn’t take a big opening to allow a lot of water to come inside — a bit of decayed caulking by the window trim can cause a whole lotta grief.
Sheldon was out the next day with a moisture meter. He did a thorough examination of the walls, he climbed out on a balcony to identify sources of possible water intrusion, and scheduled an intrusive (small opening of the walls in a few places to get a closer look) the same day.
If you suspect water damage in a wall, don’t take time to think it over. Act.
I had a couple of sources of possible water entry, one of which was from a roof area. Jeff from Building Cleaning came out immediately, turns out he’s a general contractor with roofing experience (what luck). He did a thorough, patient evaluation of the situation & we determined that two stories of interior drywall in one area would have to be removed.
When it rains, it pours… dang.
Next day the crew contained the area & began slowly taking off drywall. Some of the drywall was damp, as was the insulation, as was the wood behind it. The guys, under Jeff’s supervision, moved carefully as they analyzed each piece of wall that was removed.
Of course this was scary for me, but I knew I was in good hands. The crew was careful to not let any dust spread around & they cleaned up all the mess in the containment area. Somebody even vacuumed the outside of my front door, haha… it’s cleaner now than it’s ever been.
Next step is to sand and clean all the wood in the walls (we’re doing this today). Then everything will be dried out. When the exterior problem areas are repaired, new drywall goes up… and it’s like nothing ever happened.
Yes, this costs a chunk of change but not a fortune. The good news is that the issues are being addressed before there was significant mold growth. Whew, I lucked out.
Did I mention that the Building Cleaning Services guys are great fun to be around? In the midst of the demolition, we were joking & laughing. Hey… if ya take life’s bumps in the road too seriously, you’ll be a bundle of misery.
Kathy in the Building Cleaning office listens to me gripe endlessly about the joys of home ownership, for years she has been sympathetic.
Ahhhh…beach living. Everything rots.
But if I were to leave I’d miss the sound of foghorns & crashing surf & barking sea lions at night.
And Building Cleaning would lose one of their steady customers.
I ain’t stupid — I got carpet the same color as all the sand I track in.
I’m staying.
Someday I will build my dream beach house constructed of vinyl.

I work for Sotheby’s International Realty and chose BCS for a buyer of mine when we found mold in 3 places in a foreclosure property they were purchasing. Sheldon came out to give me a free quote and he was so nice and great to work with. Later on I dealt with Jeff and his crew and I have to say, they really came through for us. We needed immediate scheduling, constant communication and lots of little details needed to be attended to since we were dealing with a bank. They came through on every level, not to mention the work was excellent, completed on time, and we got a clean clearance. I would recommend them highly to anyone and will use them again in the future.
