History
Established in 1956.
The Brand Library opened in 1956 as a branch of the Glendale Public Library system, with a focus on visual arts and music. In 1969 an addition added a professional art gallery and recital hall for concerts and other programs. In 2014, Brand Library & Art Center reopened after a two year renovation that restored the 1904 mansion and provided much needed updates to library spaces and infrastructure.
