This place is one of the oldest and most famous places in Glendale. The best sandwich ever.

Big bite??? I think not, I wouldn’t even call these guys small bite. It was a homemade sandwich that my 6 year old niece could have constructed better and more appetizing. Please see images of the avocado in my $ 8 sandwich. Completely laughable.

LOVE their Cutlet and Sausage sandwiches. Fries are awesome and they have the glass bottle soda bottles which are my fave! We always order from here at work for my entire office. They’re great AND they deliver!

I typically come here with my coworkers to have either the cutlet sandwich or the sausage sandwich for lunch. Both are very good! I’ve also had their Greek salad with chicken, and it’s not bad as well. The place is extremely tiny and has two tables outside for outdoor eating. Very mom and pop type of shop.

I ordered the grilled pork Big Bite and the beef taco. The pork was wonderful tender and flavorful. The beef was a big let down because it was chewy and with inedible pieces of meat. I would come back for the pork… great taste, great price.

Solid Iranian — Armenian hot dogs. It hit the spot and reminded me of traditional Persian hotdogs. Eight bucks was a little pricey, but every now and then a hotdog as a moral imperative! The guy could also clean up his place just a tad bit… black ceilings and beat up sports memorabilia can be replaced.

I’ve been to the big bites at the first location on Honolulu when I was younger. I recently saw this place and remembered my childhood memories. So I wanted to give it a try again and I’m glad I did. I got the sausage sandwich it was great and I’ve also heard the katlet sandwich is delicious too!!!

Thus far I’ve only eaten the brain sandwich. It was my first time trying brain and so this is not a review regarding the flavor. I’m evidently indifferent to brain and would probably not order it again, although it was hot and well complemented within the bun. This review is an instant 5 stars simply for having brain sandwiches, and tongue sandwiches, and croque monsieurs on the menu. A big cheers to Big Bite for having the cajones to carry these atypical sandwiches. The environment in the place is cool and you know you’re in for some good authentic food. Best of luck to them! Edit: Came back for an Italian sub. Oddly round bread for a sub, but it didn’t affect the great taste and generous meat portions.

I got the Roast Beef to go. I wasnt a fan of the bread, it was fresh and toasty but seemed more like a hamburger bun. There wasnt a lot of meat either, but for a quick bite, it was A-OK

Was referred her by family. Place is cosy. Owner is nice. Small little sandwich spot I’ve never seen. I got the pastrami. Which was amazing! Would definitely come back again. Looks like the opener is a major soccer fan. Love it. Love the setting. Would recommend this place to my friends and family for sure.

Delicious!!! I had a really bad craving for Persian food today but when I walked in the gentleman recommended the chicken panini and it was amazing! Very rarely will a restaurant curb my craving but this little whole in the wall did. The only reason I’m giving a 4 out 5 instead of a 5 out of 5 is because the space was a little tight and the sandwiches were a little small, I wish they were bigger because they are delicious. Regardless, I will definitely be back.

I’m so excited to have discovered Big Bite! I work in Glendale and have largely exhausted the lunch options within walking distance to my office but somehow Big Bite has completely escaped my notice until recently. I walked in a few days ago and ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. The sandwich was delicious enough that I am looking forward to trying what else they have to offer. Also, at under $ 8 for the regular, this particular sandwich was a good value. My experience at the restaurant itself was a little strange. After placing my order, the lady at the counter asked to make sure I was ok with eggplant(I am), and then went off, without a word, for about 20 minutes to(presumably) make my sandwich. I don’t mind the lack of conversation, but it did leave me a little worried /confused about whether my sandwich was actually coming and also when /how I was supposed to pay. It also concerned me a bit that it took so long for them to make my sandwich when from the time I entered to the time I left I was their only customer. What happens when they get busy? Overall, 3.5 stars for the sandwich, but rounding down for of the long wait time. Next time I will probably try calling ahead.

When people want to get a sandwich right quick they usually go to Subway, which just boggles my mind when places like this exist. The food here is high quality, is run by a mom and pop, and is a good deal for the food you get. Right off the bat what impresses me is how they treat their customers. They may come across a bit rough at first, but they are incredibly trusting and kind. Instead of getting your money right away they let you eat first and enjoy your meal. You pay when you leave. That level of trust is incredible because they expect you to not only pay, but be honest about what you had(like drinks and chips). The food though is really what drives it home. I love the Californian. So many times a sandwich can be too much of one thing; too much veggie, too much meat, etc. Here though there is a right balance of everything. There is enough meat to make you feel satiated, but there is also enough veggies to bring out a chorus of flavors. The bread is also perfectly toasted to the point of being crunchy but not crumbly. Finally they have some of the best pickles I’ve ever had, and I hate pickles. As I’m writing this review I’m actually excited to go get my flu shot tomorrow as I can use it as an excuse to swing by here. It can be a little hard to find the front door to this place. You have to go into a building then it is your first door on your left. It looks like you are going into a different store at first, but you aren’t. A true mom and pop sandwich store that really knows what they are doing. Yummm! 93⁄100

This is the definition of a mom & pop sandwich shop at its finest. You come here because you want a quality sandwich and a place to eat in Glendale during lunch rush hour where you can find a seat and have a conversation without having to shout over everyone around you in all the packed restaurants on Brand. Not crowded but still a decent amount of people walking in to grab lunch. The owner was also very nice and accomodating. You know he loves soccer. Liverpool and Italian team banners across the shop and a TV in the corner where he can catch soccer games at the cash register! I had the breaded chicken panini and it was tasty. It was a good sized sandwich with a pickle and pepper on the side if you want to add more kick. We ate at the counter and it definitely felt like you were at a old school diner. There’s also some seating outside the restaurant if that’s what you prefer.
