Established in 1955.

More than 65 years ago, a small group of individuals in Southern California made a bold commitment: to build an organization that would help older adults continue to lead rich, purposeful lives. What was originally Southern California Presbyterian Homes is now be.group. Over the decades we have expanded from one fledgling community in La Jolla to 34 communities serving thousands of older adults throughout the state. Faith-​based in our roots, we remain committed to providing superior-​quality communities and services for seniors of all backgrounds, ethnicities and spiritual beliefs.

My mom has lived at Windsor for two years now. She loves it here, and I am very pleased with her choice. Windsor is an amazing place with really caring staff and administrators. My mom lives in independent living, and understands that assisted living is an option if she ever needs it. All in all, I think Windsor (and the be. group) are simply fantastic. They are a non-​profit group and are NOT (as another reviewer wrote) interested in profit because they are non-​profit. Windsor is not absolutely perfect; no one is, no place is perfect. But in the two years she has lived here my mom has adapted well and is truly thriving in this caring environment. The staff are great: and if they are not, they don’t work here, which is why it appears to me that there are many many employees who have worked here for a loooong time. There are nurses available 24/​7, and a whole health center. Meals are delicious and with a huge variety of food choices and options. Also, I visit from Iowa three times a year for a week; and I always feel welcome and as if this is a very good place for my mom to be. I think it’s great.

be. group is more focused on creating revenue and driving profits than the care of their residents– to the point that they are trying to sell a property gifted to them and evict all the seniors that lived there.
