History

Established in 2009.

We bring three decades of combined experience to the practice, having previously worked at prestigious design firms in America, Europe and India on single family homes, condominiums and high rise residential towers, commercial, institutional and retail facilities. With decades of honing our design skills and having developed an effective, affordable aesthetic, we decided to start our own firm to help clients achieve cutting-​edge design on limited budgets.

Meet the Business Owner

Sanjiv B.

Business Owner

Sanjiv was born in Mumbai, India. He has an undergraduate degree in architecture and a masters in urban design. His two decades of practice in Mumbai, Austin and Los Angeles with noted design firms in the areas of residential, commercial, institutional, urban design and preservation projects helps bring a unique cultural perspective to his work while providing a wide base of knowledge and experience. Sanjiv started his own Practice, Archithetics, with partner Jan Lepicovsky in 2009. Whether he employs a modernist vocabulary, blends tradition and modernity, or remains true to the style of a restoration project, his emphasis is always on providing clarity through simple, yet deliberate design measures. Although his work includes high-​end projects, he has always focused on developing and employing an affordable aesthetic in his work. Sanjiv has strong design and technical skills, broad experience with entitlements, and helps provide the strategic vision for his firm and its projects.
