Business Owner

Alana Hammer is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist. She is nationally certified as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Dipl​.OM). Alana is also licensed as an Acupuncturist in the state of California where she practiced acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine as a primary care provider.

Alana earned her Masters of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in San Francisco. Alana completed over 2000 clinical hours under the guidance of nationally and internationally recognized Chinese practitioners.

She has done extensive post-​graduate work in women’s health, obstetrics, internal medicine, nutrition, herbal medicine and acupuncture through seminars, workshops and internships.

My visit with Alana was very successful. The thing I liked most about working with her was that she listened to me. Her demeanor is very reassuring and I did not ever feel like I was getting anything than sound professional advice (I hate it when people try to «sell» me some idea of what is wrong with me.). There was honestly a moment during the treatment when I felt an amazing rush of joy. When she asked me how I was doing, I said, «Blissed out.» Because I went there for my «overwhelm» of being a single mom running my own business, I would say it went very well.

Alana is amazing, and I wish she still practiced in San Francisco!
I saw Alana for the last trimester of my pregnancy, and her treatments not only helped me deal with physical pain I was having, but also helped me with anxiety. Additionally, I had two treatments to induce labor after I was 10 days overdue, and the second treatment resulted in my baby’s birth the following day.
Alana is also willing to come to the hospital for treatments, which was very important to me when recovering from the birth itself.

I recently when to Alana with chronic low back pain. I could hardly move, stand up straight and had a lot of driving to do for work. After her treatment I was able to complete the work trip with much less discomfort. I highly recommend her services!
