Clear View Window Cleaning

Bought the livingsocial deal. Have requested a refund. First, Livingsocial should be vetting there vendors way more. This company is a joke. I emailed several months after purchasing because it was good for the fall (when you want the gutters cleaned) to schedule my appointment. I got an immediate reply from the «out of office» message they setup saying they are still scheduling and dont ask for are refund. I politely replied that I was not asking for a refund and wanted the service. I waited several days for a reply and Provided my contact information. Nothing. I sent another email because that is the voucher instructions. No automated reply or no reply at all.
Based on the amount of reviews of people who got ripped off, this guy should lose his business license. Clearly he is either scamming for the free money from Living Social or just not trustworthy enough to check emails for deals he offers.
And Living Social is offering more business again from this guy.
Stay away from both this business and Living Social until they get it right.

I hired them to clean my windows and paint my window wells. They got paint on my sofa, my hardwood floors, my sidewalk, they left bugs and debris inside my house where they cleaned.
Seriously, I did not think you could mess up washing and painting wells. I beg to differ…

There really needs to be an option for ZERO stars for companies like this. I purchased a Living Social deal for gutter cleaning. I followed the prompts to schedule, and when I heard nothing tried again by e-​mailing them directly. The owner, Joe, called, claimed he had never gotten the first e-​mail and then scheduled me for Friday between 11 and 1. The next day I got an e-​mail from Living Social saying there as a problem and I should arrange a refund. Joe called the next day, said that he had dumped Living Social for non-​payment but he would honor the price. I agreed, we confirmed the appointment. Friday arrived, I got a phone call saying they would not be there until 1p. At 2:15 I called asking where they were and was told that they had called and told somebody at my house that they wouldn’t be there until 3p. I checked my phone, there had been no call. At 2:50 Joe called and said it would be 4p before they would ‘be in my neighborhood’. I said I was not happy as I had been waiting for them all day. Joe got belligerent, told me he would just cancel and that I could ‘F**K OFF.
At this point I am so happy they are not coming. If this is the way they handle scheduling and customer service I certainly would not want them working on my property. No matter what kind of a great deal you see any of this company’s services offered for you probably don’t want to hire them.

I am unclear how this Joe Calzaretta person is still in business. My husband found this business on Living Social and had called for two months attempting to schedule an appt. An email was finally received after business hours one night stating in order to schedule an appt he would have to call and shedule it that night well he couldn’t do that because he received the email the following day. By far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. First they were late for the originally scheduled date and when he finally showed up he was in a sketchy van, no uniform and alone with the wrong work order. So I had to reschedule for a later date and when that day came around I was then told that he had to leave because of an emergency job and to call his boss. Long story short I was told by Joe Calzaretta that I received a quote for the job and because I changed my mind that he could no longer do the job… what the heck! Now let’s talk about this quote which was just his man writing down figures on long leaf notebook paper… Needless to say it was quite informal and unprofessional. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

Also, wish I could do no stars. Deal also purchased through Living Social. I had no problem booking, studied the fine print, and then, when the washer comes out, he tells me that the top part is one window, the bottom is another, I have NEVER heard of this manner of counting windows. It said nothing in the fine print. I asked the guy to leave; he said «It’s not me, I am just an employee» in a panicky way. I contacted LS immediately, and am waiting to hear from them. Lesson: be so careful with what you buy.
I also just received a call from him, and, upon expressing my dissatisfaction about the now extra charge for double hung windows (which is NOT mentioned in the fine print) he told me to go f*** myself. Oh, help.

A very bad experience! I would give 0 stars if I could! Bought a living social voucher for 20 windows, requested appointment via email (exactly as it says on living social instructions). Received reply a few days later that someone will contact me within a week or two. A month later, after no communication, I sent another email requesting an appointment and got another reply that someone will contact me within a week. I waiting for a few weeks, and asked Living Social for a refund. A week later, Joe (I guess the owner called explaining that my email went to their Spam folder and they did not see it until they got a note from Living Social about the refund. But, spam folder doesn’t reply back. The guy was rude and very unprofessional, at the end he just hanged up on me. Do not recommend this company. I will never deal with them again, and don’t advise you to deal with that!

Worst EVER! Had the BS experience as Lori V. Blah Blah spam folder. Then they came out and sure enough because I purchased through LivingSocial they felt the ned to add insult. Every window is an extra charge. Ridculous! It cost me an additional 90.00 just to get my windows done. I could have used my cleaning lady who would have done them all for 75.00. Shame on them and Living Social for getting disreputable services. They are next.

omg this company is the worst. had a living social for 20 windows. they came out finally for the appointment, the living social coupon was going to expire in 3 days, that is how long it took to get them to come out. well after looking at my house the guy came to me and said it would be an addition 280. i was like why? i have 20 windows he said no you have 40. this moronic company charges for 1 double hung window as 2 windows, never had anyone do that. then when i said forget it he said they were going to charge me for the trip and the appointment. so i finally got them down in price and also added them to clean the window sills too. so it would be 200 anyway. well the idiots left half the screens up and now the sills are dirty from stuff blowing around, i didn’t see that the screens were up on at least 10 windows until the other day. so what a waste of time and money having those done. and the job of washing the windows not good either. don’t use this company ever. didn’t even want to give them 1 star

Set up appointment to have my windows washed– no one showed up. Set up another appointment, no one showed up. Set up ANOTHER appointment, no one showed up. Each time the man on the phone apologized and assured me someone would show up. I gave them a few too many chances to redeem themselves. This company will be out of business soon I’m sure.

Lesson learned. I should have read the reviews on Unilocal before I bought the Living Social voucher and had this company come out to clean my windows. I never had a problem with any service or goods purchased form Living Social but I will check these reviews from now on. First of all to contact this company is the first sign it may be difficult to deal with since you have to send an e-​mail and wait for a call back.
Then when they come out to do their window washing you find out they basically price each pane of glass. So when the voucher says 20 windows, that will only cover a portion of your house. Depending on the type of windows and the size of your house be ready to get hit for a large bill if you want all your windows cleaned.
Finally, they do not fully clean the windows and close by surrounding areas. Many of my windows had small cobwebs or some dust or other small debris around the window frame and sill. They did not even try to clean this even though it was within inches of the window pane. So the window still looked unclean and dirty. Basically this was a waste of time and money as now I have to go back and clean all the windows again.
The previous window cleaning company I worked with priced by the sq. footage of the windows and provided and exact estimate showing their calculations. They also cleaned the window frame, the sill and surrounding area.
So bottom line is be very careful if you want to use this company and get in writing exactly how they price their services and what is cleaned and what is not.
Altogether a very bad experience.,.

I also did the Living Social deal since most of the companies I used through them were good. They actually called me back right away to schedule an appointment.
Lo and behold, on the day of the window washing, the person who was assigned to wash my windows called me to ask about how the weather was (it was drizzling). I explained there was light rain and he asked if I wanted to cancel. I explained that I was not comfortable making that call since they are supposed to be the professionals and he should probably take it up with his manager. He said that his manager would still make him come out but he has over 40 miles to travel to my home so did I want to cancel of not. I knew according to the voucher, you cannot cancel on your own accord unless it was within 48 hours so I told the guy that he should have his manager call me.
No show, no call from the manager even after leaving an email to explain the situation, and no business from me now since I asked Living Social for a refund.
Lesson learned: always check reviews when buying from Living Social.

I wish there was a zero star rating on here! awful experience with the work they did. we were gifted a Living Social deal for 20 windows and they showed up on time but everything else was terrible. the guy barely spoke English so had difficulty explaining things to me and they insisted that each PANE of glass on our windows was the equivalent to one window, meaning that instead of getting our entire house done, we got one floor done… poor explanation of this in advance made us immediate regret having them come over and the guy said“that’s what u get when u buy one of these vouchers”…I felt like I was being punished for somebody gifting me this!!! we paid $ 2 extra per window to have them clean the screens but this was a joke as I never saw a drop of water touch the screens… they were done in an hour after quoting us two and made several excuses as to why they couldn’t get the windows clean, telling me I had to use a cleaning substance to get them clean… HUH???what r u here for then??? they kept showing us flyers for what they SHOULD be charging us and telling us what other companies charge… how about u actually DO what u are supposed to instead of trying to justify ur poor business choices… overall a bad experience and I couldn’t wait for them to leave

Ugh! I totally should have read these reviews before I purchased the Living Social Deal! Been 6 weeks and ZERO response from this company. I didn’t even think to look here first, I guess I had more faith in the companies on LS than I should have.
The reviews are right — don’t waste your time or money with this company!!!
UPDATE: had to ask Living Social for a refund, still have not heard from this company! Living Social reps were quite pleasant about the whole situation, but I just wish clear view window cleaning had contacted me so I could personally tell them what I think of their company!

Same story as everyone else — got a Livingsocial deal, tried to contact, tried to contact again and again — nothing. Luckily Livingsocial refunded, but since this has obviously been going on for some time, why do they continue to offer the deal?

Holy cow. What a waste of time. Do not buy any discount vouchers online. I just asked for a refund. One, you cannot contact them. Two, they do not return phone calls, if you are lucky enough to even be able to leave one. The voice mail is ALWAYS full. Three, they do not return emails, because all of them fall into the SPAM folder. Bottom line, it’s impossible to schedule an appointment. And from the looks of things, even if you did, it’s a toss up if they will show up. Why in the world they are offering discount vouchers I do not know.

When you try to book an appointment and never get a response, the fall-​back position of the owner is that he likely never received your email because it’s likely your email went into their spam mailbox. Seriously? If your email is so crappy that pretty much the majority of customer emails go into their spam mailbox, why would you continue to not change your spam filter OR, here’s some common sense advice — check your spam box???
The reason is clear. It’s an excuse.
Called several other gutter and window cleaners, got a response within about 10 minutes and was told by other reputable companies they could be here the next day. Reputable companies charge you about $ 35 dollars more and it’s worth every penny to have the job done right and to get a response.
The owner only calls you back after your complain to the social couponing agency. That’s his M.O. If you choose to do business with these people, consider yourself warned.

If I had read these reviews first I never would have picked up the phone!
I didn’t have that much trouble connecting with Joe. A little phone tag, but nothing out of the norm. He seemed friendly and we scheduled a cleaning, his crew was set to arrive between 8 – 9 AM. At 9:10 I called to see what the ETA was. I left a message and Joe called back: They are stuck in traffic and are 20 minutes out.
Fast forward 45 minutes: No arrival, no phone call. I call Joe, and predictably get his voicemail. He calls back– now they’re 5 minutes out. Hmm, so in the last 45 minutes, they’ve progressed exactly 15 minutes in my direction.
At 10:50 they finally arrive, and I tell them to get lost. We budgeted time for their arrival between 8−9− not 11:00.
Other reviews have indicated trouble connecting and even damaged property — which I didn’t experience. But don’t try to tell me you’re nearly 2 hours late because of traffic… mid-​day, coming from the south side.

I have sent them 21 e-​mails now and have left 8 voice messages (NO one EVER answers!)… and this is AFTER I had to e-​mail and call them over a dozen times just to schedule my appointment in the 1^st place.
My appointment was blown off with no call and no show after I stayed home and arrived late to work.
This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I no longer wish to do business with livingsocial or with clear view (
). I will file a chargeback with my bank to get my money back since livingsocial won’t offer any help except to call or e-​mail the merchant-​and I am deleteing my living social account.

Let me offer a somewhat different view of this company. I too had problems connecting, but finally managed to talk to someone who scheduled an appointment for me. I was NOT impressed with their customer service and had that been my only contact with them, this would be a one-​star review.
However the young man who came out to do my windows was polite, helpful and did a good job. He even apologized to me because there were a few spots on one of my oldest, dirtiest windows that he couldn’t get off. In all honesty, if I could just hire him privately to come out and do my windows on a regular basis, I would. But the company itself was pretty unimpressive and I doubt I’ll use them again. Consider this a 2.5 star review, but I’ll give three because I have clean windows in time for Thanksgiving, and in the end, I think that’s the most important part of this whole exercise.

Joe, your comment is simply not true. I purchased a Groupon for your services, and the Groupon instructions clearly indicate to email to schedule an appointment: «. Appointment required, email
, providing the Groupon # in the upper right of your Groupon, your name, option purchased (20 or 30 windows), town, and zip code.»
I have never attempted to call your business… and I never have received a call from your business as you say you did… I have no idea what this blatant lying on your part is trying to achieve… it reeks of desperation. I have zero motive to discredit your business. I’m writing based on my thankfully limited experience with you. Lets just leave it at that, since you still refuse to respond in a professional or courteous way.
Facts are facts. There is no shortage of people who have bad things to write about your business, and positive reviews are no where to be found. Regardless of your interesting theories on why that is, it is what it is.
