Dance With Me is a dance studio that offers private lessons and group classes specializing in ballroom dance, but also offering hip hop, wedding dance, contemporary, ballet, and all kinds of partner dancing. You can learn to dance salsa, tango, swing, hustle, rumba, cha cha, waltz, foxtrot, samba, and many other dances.

We strive to provide the best experience in personalized dance instruction. Our students learn in the finest establishments that offer a comfortable, friendly environment ideal for learning and personal development. We ensure our students’ goals are met by tailoring each lesson to fit their specific needs and desires. Our teams of highly trained and professional instructors are comprised of exceptional individuals.

History

Established in 2013.

The DWM founders shared a passion and a commitment to the world of social dance. These dynamic and entrepreneurial visionaries were determined to bring a different level of dance studios. In 2005, Dance With Me studio doors opened in Ridgefield NJ. Today, the DWM studios are located in Fort Lee, Glen Rock (New Jersey), Glen Head, (Long Island), SoHo, Midtown (New York), Stamford (Connecticut).

But the DWM story really began long before the studio doors opened. It began with a story of a father and son: Sasha & Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Nearly five years and three studios later, Dance With Me dance studios made its way to the top of its industry. It has never been just about expansion, but also giving each individual a memorable experience, a healthy outlet, the best instruction, and a team, the DWM family. They are proud to provide a unique service to all of their clients and students, and be known as one of the leading Latin and Ballroom Dance Studios.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Maksim’s parents brought him to his first dance class at the age of four. His passion for dance began during his teenage years, when it became such a huge part of his life. The next biggest challenge Maksim had to face was immigrating to America, and the financial and language barriers that came along with the change. Now, Maks is still at heart that same determined kid who was willing to give his all to succeed. It defines the man he is today. Fortunately, he did focus on dancing. Maks has grown into being a renowned choreographer, successful business owner, and a national TV celebrity on Dancing With the Stars. He is the founder of Rising Stars Academy, a dance studio that focused on the youth and their pursuit of Ballroom Dance excellence. He a co-​founded Dance With Me Dance Studios with his father, Sasha Chmerkovskiy and long-​time family friend, Jhanna Volynets. He also choreographed La Reve in Wynn Las Vegas.
