Divine Cakes

I was referred to Kristen at Divine Cakes by a friend and couldn’t have been more pleased with the cake we received for our son’s 1^st birthday.
His name is Everest and as luck would have it very much enjoys climbing EVERYTHING (Had we know his name would be so prophetic we would have named him Cash!) Anyway, we thought a cute play on his name and personality would be to have a cake the shape of a mountain with a baby climbing up the side.
The cake turned out great but tasted even better. It was a rich chocolate cake that was just sweet enough. All of our guest were impressed by the cake and several asked for Divine Cakes’ contact info. My only regret is that I didn’t get a good picture of the cake prior to serving it: o (
We had become known for always getting really cool birthday cakes for our kids parties and were so upset when the woman we used in the past retired. I was pretty desperate to find someone who was just as talented and feel very grateful that I found that with Divine Cakes! I also want to note that while some people that do custom cakes charge a ridiculous amount per cake, I found Divine Cakes’ pricing to be very affordable and accessible for most people.
Kristen was super nice and easy to work with. She requests 2 weeks notice for a custom cake but I was in a bit of a jam and she made it a point to accommodate my late order. I will certainly be using her again… the cake I will be ordering next is a Micky Mouse Clubhouse theme for my son’s 4^th birthday and I cant wait to see how it turns out.

This weekend is the 3^rd time I have ordered a cake for my own personal special occasions from Divine Cakes, not only is the artistry absolutely gorgeous but the cake was simply delicious!
This time my birthday cake was inspired by my favorite Champagne, Vueve Cliquot. She was able to match the famous yellow-​orange color of the bottle label perfectly and even surprised me with adding some details of the original artwork I had sent for my ideas or what I was hoping to see. I am always in awe of her creativity. (picture attached in gallery) This cake décor turned out better than I could possibly have imagined!
I choose the chocolate fudge cake with peanut butter buttercream… this was rich and decadent… exactly what I was looking for!
In the past, other cakes I have enjoyed were the carrot cake with cream cheese buttercream and also the banana sourcream cake with dark fudge buttercream (omg this has to be my favorite of them all!!) Each of these as wonderfully tasty and beautifully created as this weekend’s selection.
I have 2 other cakes on order for later this summer as well… I can’t wait to see and enjoy these too!

I had this cake at a birthday party. It was beautiful to look

We ordered our wedding cake from here and absolutely loved it.
Our cake was not complicated from a design standpoint. We went with a basic 3-​tier and asked to incorporate our birth stone colors and our dogs as toppers.
The cake flavor was banana sour cream with butter cream filling and the icing was traditional butter cream. I thought the cake was a great texture and moist. The cake was banded with colored fondant at the base for our birthstone color request. The icing was just the right sweetness for our tastes. I am particular with icing and rarely have I tasted cakes with icing that is not sickeningly sweet. But despite it not being too sugary, be forewarned, it is still not good to eat as much cake as I did.
The best part about the cake though was the topper. We asked to have bride and groom represented as our two dogs and they turned out so adorable, with veil and tophat, I just about cried when I saw them the first time. They are works of art and really special.
