Established in 2011.
Sandi Cranny and Suzanne Comella decided to open the Glen Ellyn Shiny Strands salon after personally experiencing the chaos of head lice. What to do? Where to go? What now? This does not work!
Seeing a need in the greater Chicagoland area, they developed Shiny Strands, a head lice removal salon. They designed the salon so that you can relax knowing that your child is effectively being treated and that normalcy will soon return to your household.
They are certified by one of the country’s leading authorities on Lice — Katie Shepherd of the Shepherd Institute™. The Institute is the only lice removal certification program in the United States. Strand-by-Strand removal ensures your child is lice and nit free.
Based on the positive response that the Glen Ellyn salon received, two long time employees have opened additional locations to better serve the Chicagoland area. One in Naperville and one in Barrington.
