Don’t repeat problems — Resolve them! Over 50% of my clients get the results they want within 7 sessions. Children learn what they live. Then, as adults, they LIVE what they LEARNED. Often, this is what creates one’s problems. Resolve yours by learning to apply new information, skills and concepts that I teach you. CHANGE your THINKING and CHANGE your LIFE — in WEEKS, not years. Research and my 20+ years’ experience document that this is the quickest, most effective approach to resolving problems to live a happier, healthier, and more satisfying life. Medication treats symptoms, not causes. Get at the causes.

For individuals, I specialize in counseling for depression, anxiety, fears, stress reduction, self-esteem, self-confidence, anger management.. For marriage or relationship counseling, I specialize in conflict resolution, building communication skills, divorce prevention or divorce adjustment, infidelity, rebuilding trust, parenting skills or problems, and financial issues.

History

Established in 1991.

«You give more practical help than other therapists I’ve had.» (spontaneous comment of client) Successful counseling of individuals, couples, and families for 20+ years. My approach differs from most other therapists because I am a former teacher who, over the years, found that clients lack information about how they [and others] got to be the way they are and why they [and others] behave as they do. To remedy that lack of information and to guide changes in behavior, I do as much teaching and coaching as counseling. I teach new information and skills and then I coach you to apply those skills to develop new behaviors. Clients like learning new things about themselves. It’s like taking a course in school — with yourself as the object of study! Although I suggest new behaviors to help you achieve the goals you identify at the outset, the choice of whether or not to adopt those behaviors is always yours.
