History

Established in 1996.

We’ve been in Glen Ellyn since November 1, 1996. The President, Brad Rosley, moved to town on October 31, 1996 and opened the business the next day. Brad had started the business under his own name back in 1990 and he and his clients moved to Glen Ellyn, Ann Gunst started with the firm in 2011 and the firm moved to bigger quarters on Roosevelt Road when she came aboard.

Since 1986 Brad Rosley, CFP®, has been providing financial solutions to his clients. He is the founder andPresident of Fortune Financial Group which opened in Glen Ellyn in 1996. For over 25 years he has been helping individuals with their financial decisions including their financial planning for retirement.

Intrigued by the stock market, he began his career as a stock broker after graduating from the University of Iowa in 1986 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. Soon, though, he saw that stocks were only one tool in an investor’s toolkit, not a plan for retirement.

Next, his work for Dreyfus Mutual Fund Company gave him his first experience in meeting individually with investors. It was then that he earned his CFP® designation, which requires completing a comprehensive course of study, passing a two-​day, 10-​hour exam, and putting a client’s needs at the heart of all recommendations.

Then, Brad was ready to work for a CFP® in Schaumburg, IL to prepare for his goal of starting his
