Description

Specialties

I design jewelry for models, photoshoots and beauty pageants. I repair broken jewelry. I restore and redesign vintage pieces. I mentor new students and beginners in American Jewelry Design. I have referrals for charity work and resources for beads and supplies.

History

Established in 2001.

«Diane’s Jewelry Creations» DBA/DESIGN IT BY «DIANA» was created reflectively in September of 2001. I, Diane Kay Kafka, was shown a bead stitch from a Ojibwa American Indian at our annual vacation spot when I was curious about beaded jewelry design in my adolescent years. I learned what I thought was a pattern and I taught friends my new-found talent, in turn gave hand-made bracelets as gifts. I rekindled jewelry design in late 2001 when a loved one was diagnosed with cancer. During his intensive cancer treatments and chemotherapy, I creatively strung up hand-made bracelets from my vintage collection of beads. I received personal requests from the patients and nurses in the cancer center for designs which conclusively led to a business of hand-made bracelets, necklaces and bracelets.
