Cadence Convenient Care Glen Ellyn

I’ve hesitated to leave this review since I know if I leave a good review theres a greater chance people will want to flock to this location, thus making it busier and busier if I ever need to come back again.
That being said.
I came here on a Saturday morning with someone else who had an acute issue that had started an hour before we decided to go here. We had been at this exact location 2 years prior so we figured, why not, let’s go back here.
9:05 AM: We walk in. We are greeted by 3 friendly faces.
9:06 AM: Of the three friendly faces, is a friendly lady who quickly, and efficiently handles our insurance/​necessary paperwork.
9:10 AM: Done with paper work. After were done with paperwork she gives me the wifi password (as she saw I was struggling with my iPad), and directs us both to the waiting area. We sit down and wait.
9:12 AM: I barely put my purse down and an even friendlier, filipino nurse, calls us, and leads us to one of the rooms with a smile. She closes the door and immediately does her thing .
9:20 AM: She’s finished up her through history and examination. She was quick and efficient, yet was still friendly and made engaging small talk. She leaves the room and tells us the doctor/physician’s assistant will be in shortly.
9:21 AM: Physicians assistant walks in (DO YOU NOTICE THE TIME STAMP ON THIS?). Both me and the patient sitting on the exam table are stunned. Thoughts that are running through my head: «Are you sure you’re the doc/​PA? I mean I’ve only waited a minute and not the traditional 45 minutes I’m used to in other places… Maybe you have the wrong room?»
9:22 AM: Joy the PA is done introducing herself. She immediately starts her history and examination. She’s friendly, quick on her feet, and knows and understands very well that its a SATURDAY, so we want to be out of there as soon as possible. But she also understands the importance of being thorough so that we can fix this issue and still enjoy our weekend the best we can.
9:30 AM: She’s done with her exam, entered everything in the computer’s and has our necessary prescription printed out. We tell her where our normal pharmacy is and she goes, «we can definitely send it there, but we have a machine on site in the waiting room that dispenses the medication for you. And there really shouldn’t be any difference in price with most insurance companies». Both my mind and the patient’s mind is both blown. She tells us a nurse will be in shortly to give us some paperwork and instructions to take home.
9:31 AM: Both our minds are still continuing to blow, door is still closing from the PA leaving the room. Door does not finish closing because nurse comes in.
9:32 AM: Nurse comes in, gives us paperwork, leads us to the magic medication dispenser machine in the waiting room and instructs us on how to use it.
9:35 AM: Medicine comes out of magic box; minds continue to blow.
9:37 AM: We leave. Confused that we spent less than 30 minutes with paperwork, waiting, being seen by two nurses, the PA AND getting medication. Pretty sure we broke some world record.
Overall; great experience. Definitely recommend to those who want to be in and out and get your minor issue fixed fast. If you like waiting in doctor’s offices so you can die a slow painful death while you wither away in the waiting room this place is not for you.
TL;DR: You are seen QUICKLY, handled EFFICIENTLY, and on your way to recovery FAST. Excellent, friendly staff and an onsite medication dispenser machine can potentially save you a trip to the pharmacy.

Came here because of all the good reviews and a recommendation from a friend. Protocol upon entering seemed confusing and after waiting my turn to speak with someone was only asked if I had signed in. Wasn’t feeling the love and was prepared for a bad experience. But, it got a lot better. Everyone I spoke with was great. Wait time wasn’t terrible. I’d come back to this location for sure.

As a new resident, I’m still looking for «good» places to go when needed. This fits the bill for urgent care, and then some. I needed lab work to be drawn, and found their lab was open on a Saturday. Hooray! After a friendly greeting and admission work, I waited only about 10 minutes for a lab tech. She was excellent! This is a short drive from my house, conveniently located near highway and grocery stores. While one would hope not to need such a place very often, I’m very glad to know it’s here and will add it to my «good» list!

Fast and efficient. Doctor and nurses had great bedside manners and they love horses! A+ in my book!

An amazing option for those times when perhaps you can’t get in to see your doctor but you really don’t need to go to the emergency room, either. My husband sliced his finger open and I was dreading having to sit in the ER for 10 hours for a few stitches. CDH Convenient Care Center cleaned him up and stitched him up fast. We didn’t wait at all (but, maybe you don’t when you’re bleeding?) and they had us out within an hour. The staff was amazing, especially the doctor (who’s name I can’t remember now).

Best visit at a convenient care to date. Easy to register– all of the staff was friendly and attentive. Debra was my doctor– personable and easy to talk to– 5 stars!!!

I’ve been seen at the CDH Convenient Care Center in Glen Ellyn for everything from sinusitis to a sports injury and have found everyone to be extremely professional and considerate. They explain things clearly and give you written instructions for follow-​up care. I’ve rarely had to wait more than a few minutes and have always been impressed with how friendly everyone is. If I could give them 10 stars I would!

This place is definitely convenient – right off the highway, open relatively earlier and later than an average doctors office. You are able to schedule appointments for X-​rays and lab work as well. The doctors and nurses are all pretty laid back, very personable.
Since this is considered an urgent care facility the wait is significantly less than the emergency room. Be forewarned if you have insurance – some charge for the visit here at a higher rate, because it is a step down from the ER, but a step up from the regular doctor’s visit — since it it walk in care.
They are very efficient with follow-​up calls for lab results and follow-​up in general. With kids sometimes a lot easier to get in and out here rather than trying to see if the pediatrician has any last minute appointments.

this is a walk in doctors office, they also have internals and pediatrics. brand new building across from healthtrack. really nice modern equipment and furnishings… great nurses (even over the phone with questions and call backs), and doctors that respect you… and your time.
they also handled all of the prescription call in for us.
if you ever need to go to a walk in facility that’s not the er, this is the place.
