History

Established in 1985.

Larry Tempesta founded Tempco in 1985 in a small shop in Astoria, Queens, and Tempco quickly built a reputation as a dependable and top-​quality HVAC company. In 1992, after establishing a core of customers in Glen Cove, Larry purchased Glen Cove mainstay F.J. Schmidt, which was founded in 1921, and moved Tempco to its current location at 4 Park Pl., right next to City Stadium Park. In 2002, Tempco acquired Massaro Brothers Air Conditioning of New Hyde Park as it continued to grow.
