Horrible experience, avoid it like the plague. Went in for lunch with my son and we were one of only three tables that were there, waitress came over took our Order and besides bringing out food didn’t see her again, probably because she was sitting down and chatting with every other table in there. I had an empty glass of water for just about the entire time, never came by to ask about the food or a refill. my sons dish the mahi-mahi tacos I don’t know why anybody in their right mind would put that on the menu, nothing’s wrong with a good fish taco but these where horrendous. Absolutely horrible they were rolled up and drenched in Asian sweet-and-sour sauce. More like a flauta then a taco they were covered in so much sweet and sour duck sauce you had to eat them with a fork and knife, I just can’t comprehend why anybody would think that’s a good dish. They were inedible and shouldnt be on their menu or any menu. Yet the waitress even after seeing that they were barely touched just took them away and walked away with a full plate of food barely touched without saying a word and then she expressed shock when I said that they were horrible. she said«why didn’t you say anything before I swiped your card» I replied«a barely touch plate should be evident enough» she had no response and literally just walked away from the table. Partly my fault that I didn’t complain but I was just flabbergasted by the service and then flatlined by the food and literally was just angry and wanted to leave at that point. I’m not the kind of person that will complain during a meal I just will learn my lesson take note and never come back again, especially just wanted to get out of this place and my son was happy enough to share my plate. In fact in order to get my check I had to get up and walk around the restaurant to look for her(her response«I’m sorry I’m running everywhere today», as crickets chirped in a restaurant with 2 other tables. Actually calling this a restaurant is a stretch based on how they serve there coffee in diner mugs and the rest of my experience it’s closer to a diner than a restaurant. On a high note my french fries were pretty good but it’s kind hard to screw those up, especially a diner.

This establishment is under new management and is located in a beautiful open waterfront area of Glen cove. I went here for my birthday dinner with my family. Being from the area, I wanted to love this place, I had seen some pictures of the food on social media that looked great. Upon walking up to the establishment here’s my first impression, the outdoor area is beautiful however, smokers at the bar made sitting there uinviting and intolerable. That waterfront cannot be enjoyed from the indoors, and that is a shame. Once inside I took note of the recessed lighting, which is not warm, almost clinical. Also, there is a large T.V. on inside for the seated patrons, which takes away from the ambiance. The T.V. would be more appropriate in a sports bar rather than the main dining room. We take our seats. Seated adjacent to us were 4 – 5 employees talking about their jobs, looking at their iphones, playing videos which feature profane language within ear shot. We have kids at our table. They talk they curse, they laugh, they ignore us. Classy. About the food and service: We ordered appetizers, fried calamari which is very tasty, the lobster macaroni has generous portions of lobster, but is a bit overly rich, salty and cheesey. The pasta had a pool of oil and butter at the bottom of the bowl. The Breaded Flounder was buttery and delicious, the mashed potatoes were buttery and yummy, hints of garlic, and I love garlic. The broccoli is fresh. I tasted my friends 8Oz burger which is cooked to perfection and my hopes rise. I then attempt to get the servers attention, no dice. Once I do get her attention, I order my beer(it’s my birthday after all). She disappears, the beer doesn’t come, the beer never came, we don’t see the server again until it’s too late, my hopes are dashed. I wish I were done: Now, blaring from the kitchen which is open to the dining room(over the house music) is the soundtrack to a Southpark movie. Carmen’s shrill voice is filling the dining room. The rude employees are laughing about it, it’s all a joke to them. They seem to not care about the ambiance. At this point my heart sinks and I no longer feel any compassion for this new establishment, it seems simply unprofessional and trashy. Why have I taken people here? They have a few things right, some of the food was quality, some areas of the restaurant would be relaxing if it weren’t for the second hand smoke, but if the new management wanted to create a restaurant with a friendly atmosphere, they are missing the boat.
