Came here for a valentines date. The décor is modern and comfortable. I had the crab cakes and a chicken pot pie. The crab cakes tasted fresh and had good seasoning. The pot pie was rich with a light and crispy crust. Great place!

Don’t know why I gave it only 4 stars before. The place is great. Went there forNew Years eve. The food was excellent as well as the service.

Good food. But poor service. Waiter was no where to be found. Never checked if we needed anything from entrée to desert.

Never had a bad meal here. The weekend price fix menu of $ 26.95 is an incredible deal for a solid amount of food. Great, attentive wait staff and cozy atmosphere.

I’ve never had a bad meal here at Cedar Creek. Always consistent, always good. Is it «the best» no, but it is a place where you will get a very tasty, moderately priced satisfying meal every single time you go, and that’s what you want in this local neighborhood restaurant. I don’t necessarily see people driving from a far to come here(I maybe wrong) but if you live in the surrounding areas I’d say if you haven’t been, given it a try… I think you’ll be happy. The décor is simple tavern/pub like, the bar is a good one which I’ve sat at to eat on several occasions. The bartender mixes a good drink and is accommodating if you choose to sit and eat there, to watch a game or whatever… I could go down the list of what I’ve eaten but it doesn’t matter because I’d say each one was enjoyable and well worth the price. So if you live around Glen Cove(BTW it not deep down into GC it’s on the outskirts) give it a try you won’t be disappointed in fact I think you’d go back, and go back, and go… again. If you get on their email list they will usually send you monthly offers/discounts. 4.5 stars in comparison to restaurant like them.

Great food great atmosphere. Kinda reminds me an old English pub. Staff is so friendly and helpful. Excellent selection of wine. If you go on a weekdays they have ½ off on a bottle of wines. I order a $ 80 French wine and paid $ 40. Can’t beat that. Small bites are on the small side for one person only. Main courses are better portions. Linguine with scallops are excellent. Bronzino with risotto divine. I try the chefs special it was really really good. You gotta check out the desert menu. S’mores brownies are sooo good. Definitely we will be back.

service was bad, food was ok DEFINITELY not worth the price, and there are many small bugs such as fruit flies hovering around the food. the only good thing was the slightly fancy atmosphere of the place.

Very disappointed. The only thing good about the experience was our sweet waiter. We had a Caesar Salad that was tasteless. How can you ruin a Caesar Salad for goodness sake? The worst was I asked that the grilled chicken be fried instead. The answer the chef gave me was he was too busy. Any other restaurant I have made this request the response was«no problem». This chef lost this restaurant a customer. Maybe now he won’t be too busy to honor a simple request.

I was there last night really one if my favorite restaurants. We got the skirt steak always delicious and the special pasta which was whole wheat linguini with chicken meat balls also delicious. The problem came with the bill. The skirt steak was $ 27.95 which was expected but the special pasta was … READY… $ 29.95. I was shocked. Chicken meatballs and pasta $ 29.95 I tried to justify the price in my head but could not. I think Cedar Creek should tell you the price of the specials when they are quoting them. Still a favorite of mine but a little disappointed.

Very good food, a little pricey, probably because its on the North coast, but you will not be disappointed with the food. I recommend the pulled pork sliders and the chicken pot pie. Both are excellent choices on the menu. We went on a Saturday night so the restaurant was naturally packed, but we were lucky to get a reservation. The specials including a diverse salad, whole wheat pasta with pulled pork, and the fish were all very good. Service was a bit slow because of the crowd, but the waiter was nice and didn’t rush us out. They have very good desserts too. We would go back!

As soon as we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful hostess who let us pick our own table. It was our anniversary so we were looking for a quite table. Went for dinner with my wife on Thursday. We started with the big plate beets and gorgon zola with almonds. We also had the small plate clams casino. Both of these were excellent. The water and bread was promptly served and the spiced olive oil for the bread was perfect. I went with the Blue plate special which was Prime Rib, ordered medium rare. My wife went for the pan seared Salmon. Both were cooked to perfection. Service was top notch and the valet was on point considering it was fairly busy. Definetly going back.

I come back to this place for the clean, dark wood interior and a good meal with a craft beer selection. Service has always been on point. I’m not intrigued enough to try new things on the menu. That being said, for appetizers, I’ve had the fried mac and cheese balls with the basil aioli. This combination is a homerun! My boyfriend and I take turns ordering the cavatelli bolognese. In my eyes, you just can’t go wrong with a three meat red sauce. The chicken pot pie is more on the sweet side, than savory. And the gnocchi with short rib is the other way around. I haven’t been able to find a gnocchi dish that isn’t too salty for my taste yet, but the boyfriend was pleased with both.

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here. We used the back room. It was private and perfect for the event. They provided is enough staff to make sure we all had drinks. The food was excellent and nicely displayed. We defiantly recommend this place for events. Since my rehearsal dinner, we have been to a bridal shower and baptism party here. Left happy each time. :)

We love this place. There are a lot of good restaurants around but next to The Brass Rail in Locust Valley, this place is usually on our favorites list. Try the Romanian steak — it is to die for. The blue fin tuna tartare– better than Tokyo. We are having the specials tonight– wine braised lamb shank and homemade lobster fettuccine and staffed crab ginormous mushrooms with truffle oil.

A very hard restaurant for me to critique. Physically it’s like a very nice tavern — comfortable but not luxurious. The menu is good. Various price points allow anything from a quick snack to a formal dinner. We liked everything that was brought to us but nothing stood out as being exceptional. Our server was professional but a bit too laid back for my taste. I feel that Cedar Creek really deserves 3.5 stars on the Unilocal scale, but because of the restaurant’s good looks and varied choices I bump it up to 4.

Great place to have a fancy little dinner locally within Glen Cove area. The good hear was great, had the steak. The drinks are just as good, a bit stronger than expected but not that off putting. You could still taste something aside from pure alcohol. The mac and cheese appetizer was amazing, never had fried mac and cheese balls before but that alone makes me want to come back to Ceder Creek for more ahaha. Aside from that me and my girlfriend also had various desserts like the blue berry crème brule whicj was really good, as well as the marsh mello brownie that had toasted whoped marsh mello on the brownie and vannila ice cream. Simple amazing. All in all this is a smiple menu romantic litle restaurant, then menu is short but the food on it is good enough to make up for a simple selection. Plus if your planning on eating here its a bit pricey but it’s definitely worth it tho. For a fancy dinner without having to go to the city,

I hosted my sister and her fiancés wedding shower here this past weekend. I live nearby and have heard great reviews. BOY I was let down. When I booked the event I let them know I have many vegetarians and vegans attending(including the bride) and they offered me a fourth dish so accommodate that. It was decided that I would get the pasta primavera and an eggplant parmesan and the rest of the menu I would let them know a few days prior. They took notes on this. Much to my surprise they let me know THENIGHTBEFORE that they wouldn’t be able to accommodate the eggplant since I didn’t give them enough warning(2 months was apparently not enough warning!?!) The manager was not flexible and pretty much said sorry nothing we can do. That was insane what was even crazier is that they offered me a sub of side vegetables as the entrée for vegetarians … for 38 dollars a head… no thanks. They were rude they really didn’t do any prep for us whatsoever. When we were all there they didn’t let anyone know what was included beverage wise they started rattling off lists of what was on tap to our guests instead of what we had paid for. No one came around with water, they didn’t take orders or bring out salads til we had been there for an hour. One of my guests had trouble with the valet in which he wouldn’t give her her keys back and a manager had to be called. The food was mediocre. The waitress was very nice but overall attentiveness and the managers of this establishment were absolutely atrocious. They acted as though they already had our money so it really didn’t matter after that. 700 dollars later we still had a nice time with our family and friends but we will NEVEREVER be returning and will be sure to forewarn friends and family !

Really liked my visit to Cedar Creek! I wanted to take my girlfriend out for a night just the two of us and I was in the mood for some steak or other American food so we chose this place. Placing a reservation via Unilocal and Open Table was a breeze and the staff was welcoming right off the bat. They valet parked our car and seated us at a nice table in one of the rooms which was barely occupied at the time. This was perfect because we had pretty much the whole place for ourselves. The waiter was very attentive and helpful. In fact — we ordered all he recommended, which leads me to my favorite part — the rack of lamb with sweet potato tots and sausage. Man, that lamb was amazing! The meat just fell off the bone and it was definitely cooked great — flavorful and not dry. In short: I highly recommend you check this place out if you are looking for an affordable night out with actually good food!

Get. Here. Now. I’ve had this Amazon Local deal for this place for a few months now. After my fiancé and I got engaged over the weekend, we decided this would be the perfect place for us to celebrate. We arrived a few minutes after our 8pm reservation. Loved being able to easily make a reservation through Opentable. There was valet parking, but we opted for a spot right in front of the restaurant on the street. The restaurant was about half full, dimly lit, and beautiful. The service was also impeccable. Our waitress, Kate, who said she was knew, was amazing. Honestly, if she didn’t mention it, we never would have known. We were given a rundown of the menu and then placed drink orders. I forgot what my fiancé ordered, something with bourbon, but it was smooth and surprisingly refreshing. I ordered the blackberry lemonade and it was great! We were also given bread, butter, and olive oil and went through 2 baskets. It was that good. I gotta tell you, I had been scoping out the menu so much. I knew exactly what I was ordering before I even stepped into the restaurant. My fiancé ordered 6 oysters and I ordered the tuna tartar to start. My fiancé was thrilled with his oysters, but I was much less so with the tuna tartar. It did not state cilantro, and it was just too overwhelming for me. I had to send it back. The situation was remedied immediately and the manager even came by to make sure everything was alright. I replace it with the roasted beets with goat cheese, sliced almonds, sprouts, and a citrus pepper vinaigrette. I’m so glad I changed my appetizer because this was delicious. My fiancé ordered the Kobe flank steak with an andouille and potato hash with smoked tomato and avocado butter. It was awesome and he was totally satisfied. He finished his plate. I knew I was going to order the gastropub steak frites, and it did not disappoint! A perfectly cooked sirloin steak paired with blue cheese fondue, amazing roasted mushrooms, and delicious fries. I ate 1⁄3 and was very full. Looking forward to finishing it tomorrow… Since we were celebrating, we split the profiteroles for dessert! They were filled with Tahitian vanilla ice cream(the best vanilla ice cream I’ve ever had) and dark chocolate sauce. It was so good. The place is super reasonably priced, food was amazing, and service was great! Thanks to Amazon for pointing this place out to me! I’ll be back soon!
