Sears Auto Center

Ok so I set up an appointment for today at 11am online last night. I had a choice of 11, 12, 1, and 2. On my way to the appt, the service manager calls to inform me that he only has 1 tech and doesn’t understand why the website even allowed me to set up an 11am appt. Before I could even reply he goes on to say that he has no appts available for me and would I like to schedule for another day.
At this point I was almost there so I decided to just go in and speak to the manager. I walk in and this young kid who looked barely 16 was standing behind the counter. I realized this was who had just called me. So I asked why he waited until 1030am to call and tell me there is no 11am appt available. I could have went somewhere else. He says we opened at 10am and I was stuck dealing with customers until 1030 when I called you. I said ok things happen but how is it that you have absolutely no appts available for the entire day? He says the website doesn’t consult with them and he doesnt know what appts have been set up thru the website until he goes in and looks! (So obviously appts thru the website really dont mean squat)
So Sears I blame you more for not linking the website in a way where everyone is on the same page. How do you expect your stores to operate efficiently with the current setup? Thanks for nothing Sears!
DO NOT use the website to set up an appt because it means nothing!

Back again for another oil change on Wednesday, at 10am. It’s my third time with this place doing oil changes for me. I love that I can watch the technician working on my car. The person who checks me in is always pleasant. They informed me that it would take about 27 minutes, overall.
I used a coupon for a $ 15 conventional oil change that I found online. They also do normal check up stuff too.

I have to knock off another star because of their online site. It says they have all of these items and ready to go. In truth, you wonder how little they do have. I ordered a few VERY basic items and was told neither was in stock and my order would be cancelled. Gee, thanks for nothing!
Last time I order anything from this Sears automotive!

I had thought that I damaged the nearly new left front tire on my BMW 328I convertible, so after having the alloy wheel straightened (by Annapolis Alloy Wheel Repair) and the wheels aligned by Northwest BMW (Rte 40), I ordered the Michelin replacement tire from
on-​line (Michelin had quit making this particular tire and it turned out that Sears was the only one that could get the tire for me. I took the car in on Monday to get the tire installed and when they put the car up on the rack and seeing that the problem tire was virtually new, they carefully and thoroughly checked the tire and concluded that the tire was fine with no evidence of damage or uneven wear, so they advised that they saw no reason to replace the tire… but would if I insisted. Given that the tire, mounting, balancing etc was going to be close to $ 300.00 I asked if I could simply get a refund. They said «Of Course» and proceeded to do so on the spot. I was elated and very impressed by the professionalism of both Tom, the mechanic/​tire repair-​replacement guy AND Katrina, the sales lady, in the Sears auto service center. My whole experience with this could not have been better.

If your getting rotors or brakes, make sure they have the parts before committing to the service! I’ve been here since 1:00 and now it’s 6:00PM

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! HORRIBLE! Worst customer service, rude managers, the technicians are horrible!
