Had a craving for some Summer Rolls and fried rice, and this place definitely delivered! Service was great; very quick and accommodating. Restaurant looked clean. I’ll definitely be back for more soon!

I happened to go here on a weeknight, so there was only one other couple in the restaurant. It was nice and quiet, but not too quiet. The news was playing on a wall-mount tv which was kind of nice for some background noise. Not long after I sat down, the chef came out and introduced herself– she was new, a Thailand native, and had recently made a lot of Thai additions to the menu. I’m not familiar with a lot of Thai dishes, but she was happy to describe all of them to me when I asked. The menu was up on a whiteboard near the cash register, and one of my only complaints about the restaurant. It was handwritten and somewhat hard to read, but it also just had the names of dishes and no descriptions. It’s just a personal preference, but I like to have a description rather than just the name of a dish so I know what I’m ordering. I also prefer individual menus opposed to one menu for the whole restaurant — it’s just easier to read in my opinion. I ended up ordering some spring rolls and the Thai curry soup. When you order the soup, you have the choice of chicken, beef, shrimp or any combination of those three. I had chicken and beef but no shrimp. I ordered two meats because I had read another Unilocal review that said the restaurant skimped on the meat, but that definitely wasn’t the case for my order! Everything came out really quickly, maybe ten minutes, tops. The spring rolls were good; I liked that they were homemade and not just the frozen kind that the restaurant warmed up in the oven for a few minutes. The Thai curry soup, though, was outstanding. It was pretty spicy, perfect in my opinion — enough to make my nose start to run, but not so spicy that my eyelids were sweating and my tongue was numb: p The bowl was huge. I wanted to finish it all because it was so good, but there was just no way. Overall, it was a great place and I would recommend it to others.

Came here on a week night and the place was pretty empty. Ordered my phở, I always choose #1 at any phở place. The phở was NOT good. I’m Vietnamese so I know my phở. Would it even be considered phở? The noodles were stuck together, broth was salty and not a good flavor. I shouldn’t have to pour a bunch of sauce in it just to try to finish it. The service was okay. Wouldn’t come back to eat here even if it’s 5 mins away from me. I’ll just drive 20 mins to Ellicot city instead.

Unilocal reviews on this place are for the majority pretty accurate in my opinion. The phở here is always fresh, hot and made hot. Tonight we ordered the summer rolls with peanut sauce, the vegetable phở and the shrimp and bell peppers. The summer rolls are always our favorite, served with an awesome peanut sauce and very aesthetically appealing. The vegetable phở was hot and flavorful, a good staple entrée I’ve enjoyed here before as well. My wife chose the shrimp and peppers which was very fresh and a generous portion of shrimp. I think what made the dish stand above the rest was the sauce which was a bit sweet but definitely barbeque inspired. It was really very good. The problem with Phở 98 is the service, mainly the waitresses. There’s really not much etiquette or customer service whatsoever from having to request water, asking for napkins, to-go boxes and even the check more than once only to be directed to the sign saying«Pay up front». All in all, if you’re able to wait for really good food and bear through the terrible wait staff this place really is a little hidden gem. The food was 5 stars, the waitresses 2 stars at best.

I don’t think it’s the best phở I’ve ever had, but it’s certainly not terrible. The atmosphere is about what you’d expect, the staff is super friendly and accommodating. Spring rolls are tasty, but I’d like a different sauce with them than the super thin sauce provided. The phở is delicious, but use your extras. Sriracha and hosin really bring out the flavor. Also, they’re stingy with the meats. I’d say this place is slightly above average but not fantastic. Definitely not terrible as some have suggested.

I will not return! After a long wait to for the waitress to take my order, I went to the front desk to place my order since I thought I was forgotten. The owner roughly told me to have a seat. After finally placing my order there was a long wait for the food. When the food came to the table it was the wrong order, chicken instead of beef. The owner didn’t want to take it back and said that chicken is better than beef anyway. After the back and forth I said I would go ahead and taste the chicken. When I told the waitress that I didn’t like the chicken. She told me that she explained to the owner that I did in fact order beef. He proceeded to look at my plate and announced to everyone that I ate half of the meal. He told me that the most he would do is take $ 3.00 off my meal. I payed but couldn’t believe that I would be charged for their mistake. Horrible customer service!!! This restaurant deserves no stars but it didn’t allow me to post this without a star.

I took my friend for her first phở experience. The service was excellent. Then again we came just after the lunch rush. But the two people who came in to pick up carry out were both frequent customers and talked about how much they love this place. We both got the lunch special which was an unbelievable $ 10 for the biggest bowl of phở I’ve ever had and 2 spring rolls each. I got the beef and my friend got the chicken. I loved the broth. I didn’t add anything to my bowl because I thought it all tasted so good. My friend had a lot of fun playing with the bean sprouts and the spices. Our leftovers filled a whole takeout container so we had another meal. Yay!

Bad Service!!! Never to go here again… the owner(i think he is the owner) has a bad attitude. Their soup is just okay… Definitely not coming back here! Sorry Phở 98. I’ve been to a lot of Phở place and this is the worst!

This week was my first time trying Phở 98. I was a bit skeptical based on some of the reviews. But I have to say it was excellent! I had none of the issues of some other reviewers. The service was spot-on, with water and refills at the ready, the phở came with the plate of basil/bean sprouts/peppers and lime. The phở broth was deliciously rich and beefy, not at all overly salted. We also got the summer rolls for an appetizer and they were perfectly rolled and seasoned. The entrees of ginger chicken and lemon grass beef were wonderful. I honestly have nothing bad to say about the place. Great job to the owners if the bad reviews caused them to fix issues because it was great!

Ye Gawds, this place is absolutely pathetic. I thought that Phở Miss Saigon further down Ritchie Highway was awful, but that place has gourmet cuisine next to this joint. Simply hideous. This place served up what is probably THE saltiest phở broth I have ever eaten in my life. It was nothing but sodium, and my mouth actually burned from the amount of salt that was left behind on my palate. It was pretty close to being inedible, and I left a good deal of it behind. Those who know me and my phở addiction KNOW that I never leave behind any phở — and especially not the broth. If I leave even a drop, it was extraordinarily bad. Very skimpy on the meat, too. It was pretty much clumpy noodles and liquid sodium. Nothing more than that. Oh, gah, I’m actually cringing remembering it. I had requested pineapple boba, which they were out of — as a matter of fact, they were out of all«green boba products». Uhh… okay, sure. I’ll have a coconut boba instead. Unless that’s green, too… Phở 98 also gets the award for the worst boba I’ve ever had. All liquid and no bubbles. And what bubbles there WERE, they were in a massive, unattractive clump at the bottom of the cup. Just BAD, okay? No other word to describe it. Phở Miss Saigon is no longer the worst phở restaurant in the Gee-Bee. Phở 98 now has that distinction! Ugh. I’m wincing just thinking about how my mouth felt from all that salt. Hardly anyone in the place, too. Now I know why. AVOID.

I have come here before and have had awful service. I have also gone and got«okay» service. It really depends on what servers are working that day. The phở comes with hardly any meat, but the broth is alright. Nothing spectacular. Depending on who is waiting on you, you have to beg for water refills and the side of basil that normally comes standard at other Vietnamese restaurants. I wish they would start selling avocado smoothies because I would actually find this place worth the frustration. Their boba bubble tea with the iced tea plus condensed milk is tasty though, again, depending on who is working. You will literally get ten boba pearls in your drink though… but plenty of ice. :(

first time here, food was way to salty and the Service was not that good. Server English not that good but at least she was Somewhat friendly to us. Egg roles get the Two stars. Might give them A second chance if they have Better Menu.

Good Phở, excellent bubble teas or rather smoothies. The phở portion of the menu is a little difficult to comprehend, it is a long list of all the combinations of meats possible.

I’ve never left a review on Unilocal, but this was place was so bad I had to leave my first review. First, we sat down and the guy took our orders. My friend ordered a large phở, I got grilled chicken rice and fried egg, and we ordered the spring and summer rolls. Nobody came to bring us water. After waiting for about ten minutes we had to finally tell the server to bring us water. After another ten minutes the summer rolls finally come out. When the phở finally came out my friend said the broth and noodles weren’t very good. After he was just about done with his phở my order came out. Then finally the spring rolls came out. Again, we had to tell the server to bring us more water. Only one other table was in there. My food was decent, my friend’s not so much, but the service was horrible. Wouldn’t recommend this place. And there’s my first review on Unilocal

The place looks tidy and clean but the place smells greasy. The service was fast and the food taste okay. My husband had the steamed chicken dumplings which turned out to be the best thing from what we ordered… He also had chicken fried which was extremely salty. I had a big plate fried tofu for appetizer — it was very crispy but the sauce didn’t have much flavor/just plain sweet & sour sauce and the grilled chicken with white rice and egg and it was just salty enough– the fresh vegetables and plain rice was a good compliment. Total experience was fine but Im not sure if I’ll be back…

Decent Phở. I enjoyed the broth. It was very flavorful and hot(temperature). I always hate eating the raw bean sprouts and the broth here was hot enough that my beans sprouts was fully cooked within a few minutes. It’s really hard to find a noodle place that actually have steaming hot broth. The portions of the phở were much smaller than I expected, however it’s a fair portion for the price you pay. It’s around 6.75 for the small phở and 7.75 for the large. Staff was friendly and service was prompt. I had to visit the MVA and had about 35 minutes to eat and I was in and out within 20 minutes. There was also TV that had CNN playing through out my visit. The owner seems friendly as he was constantly talking to regulars.

AMAZINGPHO. I will qualify that statement with the fact that I lived in Hawaii for a year and ate in China town multiple times per week there and experienced all the authentic Asian cuisines and Phở joints that they had to offer. I am somewhat misled and angered by the other reviews that have condemned this restaurant and prevented me from trying it for so long. I wish I started eating here long ago, but didn’t because my fellow Unilocalers dissuaded and misguided me. I am here to tell you that this place does Phở right. I honestly just think the good folk of Glen Burnie MD wouldn’t know a good Phở if it reached out and bit them in the… Face? Also, whoever knocked the spring rolls has no idea what they’re talking about. The spring rolls here are great. Since when were extra vermicelli noodles a bad thing??? I will definitely be back to this place.

Finally a decent Phở shop in Glen Burne. Same owner as the Phở shop in Laurel, she is awesome and always makes sure every customer is happy with their food.

This is not the best phở place in Maryland, but if you’re hungry and in need of phở and close by, it’s not a bad option. It’s run by a Chinese family, so don’t expect authentic phở, but they put in lots of meat and the veggies are fresh, and the only complaint I have are the noodles are often stuck together and require some pushing around to separate. The spring rolls are pretty standard and I like their peanut sauce. The rest of the menu is like a standard chinese restaurant, all lo mein and stir fry, so I have never gotten anything else there except the phở. The large is pretty big and I’m usually satisfied with the small, but if you don’t specify, they will give you the large bowl. If you’re gonna ask for really complicated things, there might be a language barrier, b/c their English is not the most fluent. Bottom line, good place for emergency phở, but there is better elsewhere.
