Michael’s Eighth Avenue is a family owned business specializing in Weddings and Event catering. When at Michael’s everything from setup to tear down is done for you, we do our best at accommodating our guests, making their experience enjoyable and unforgettable.

History

Established in 1990.

The first generation of Michaels Eighth Avenue began in the 1950s with Harry and May Wagner. Slowly the company began to grow from one that hosted only a few affairs to one that would soon require a larger facility. Mike purchased Kohn and Kelly Deli on Crain Highway, and began operating the deli while also handling catering affairs from that same location. Before long, the Wagners would need an even larger facility. First Mike moved to Roesler Road off of Ritchie Highway and then in 1982 to to Penrod Court, merely three blocks from where Michaels Eighth Avenue is located today. Two moves later, in January 1990, construction began on what is now the lovely home of Michaels Eighth Avenue catering services.

Business Owner

Carol Wagner is the wife of the late Michael Wagner Sr., the founder of Michael’s Eighth Avenue. She has taken on the role of owner graciously ready to learn all the aspects of the business along side her son Michael Wagner Jr. and the business manager Dan Rendulic. Carol Wagner previously owned and operated her own business that specialized in flower arrangements and framing.
