Linthicum Plumbing & Drain Cleaning

When our hot water heater abruptly stopped working, I Received recommendations from numerous people. Linthicum Plumbing was by far the friendliest and most accommodating company. They sent someone out same day and when they were running late, they called to tell me. The work was done quickly, efficiently and for a good price. Very happy with the service.

This is a really LOUSY company. I’m not sure who’s writing these wonderful and awesome reviews. Maybe they have a lot of family members? Anyway, I’ve called them twice on TWO separate occasions for a problem I was having in my home. BOTH times (months apart) the person they have on call never bothered to call me back, return my call.etc. Do yourself a favor, if you’re in an emergency situation with no heat, hot water or having a flood… call a real plumber!

If you need a plumber — this is the company to use.
Let’s face it, plumbing issues are stressful… and there is always a concern that you might unknowingly wind up spending more than you need to.
Sadly, I’ve come across many service industry companies that are rude, unreliable and have a take-​it-​or-​leave it attitude. I was so pleasantly surprised by my experience with Linthicum Plumbing. EVERYTHING about this company is awesome — from the initial call through the resolution of the problem. The office staff was attentive, detail oriented and really seemed concerned that my problem be solved as soon as possible. None of the usual «well, we’ll try to get somebody out there between 8 and 3.» The person I dealt with on the phone was also very pleasant and sympathetic.
The service personnel are neat, polite and very knowledgeable. They explain things clearly and give you options.
There prices are fair.
In short, they have inspired trust and loyalty in me. I will use them them whenever plumbing issues arise and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone needing plumbing service.

Hired LP&DC Inc. to replace a leaking water main from the sidewalk to the front of my house. (I don’t know if you guys will see this but if so please look for my snail mail). I will be happy to edit this review once i receive a reply).
Took two guys approximately 13 hours from start to finish on a Saturday (it was harder than they expected, starting around 8am). then someone came back over the next day to seed and cover (with hay) the ground. About 4 weeks later after a high pile of dirt up against the house had settled and some of the hay had settled, i noticed 2 things. 1 was the ground looked very lumpy. and 2 my siding was (is) damaged, right where they were digging.
More specifically… the ground which was put back in place, (with the same equipment used to dig it up) was and is extremely bumpy and had gaping holes, i complained by phone that my foot fit into the ground and it was unsafe and someone came out the next day and filled it with fill dirt and added more seed and hay. The ground overall however is still extremely bumpy and in worse condition than before they started.
(Worst case, I am planning to rent a roto tiller and re-​smooth the whole side yard because I use a riding mower and cannot go higher than ½ speed (half of 1^st gear) over the lumpy ground. (and still the blades hit dirt and shoot it out the side). I’m going to mention this also in my letter. I am not sure if this is standard /​expected after a job such as mine or not.
And the damaged siding… (there is a hole maybe 8 inches wide at the bottom of the siding where the «machinery» obviously missed the ground). was covered up with dirt so i didn’t notice it for several weeks.
So until these 2 issues are addressed, i have to give only a 3 star rating.
The actual quality of work is excellent. however (and i just remembered this) the 2 men working in and out of my house all day, also did not put any floor coverings down and they had to do a lot of work IN-​side with a jackhammer and shovels and also with concrete at the end. (one shovel broke during the day also but they had another). so, my fairly new laminate flooring from the front door, down the hallway and into the back room, when they left. was very dirty and dusty. boot prints and a film of dust which they attempted to broom away but really was not effective.
I do understand that they had a very long day and worked through lunch (i offered to order them some) but i had a lot of cleaning to do afterwards inside and i’m still not very pleased with how bumpy they left my yard outside.

i did research before deciding on this company. they were highly recommended and also they negotiated my price a little but to match a competitor’s offer. I had high expectations but in the end came away slightly disappointed that i have to follow up on 2 problems.

Fast, efficient, reliable and quality plumbing company! I have always had a very good experience with Linthicum Plumbing but what really made these guys great in my book was when I had a disastrous plumbing issue during the two two-​foot snow storms we experienced in 2010. I came to find a random septic issue in my basement in between the storms and still during the state of emergency. I called Linthicum plumbing and they came out in between the two blizzards and in the middle of the second blizzard to clear my sewer lines so I had use of my plumbing during the storm. They really saved me from being stranded in a house where I couldn’t flush a toilet! They then came out after the storm and fixed the issue completely. But I just couldn’t believe the extent to which they serviced me during the declared state of emergency. They treated my situation like family and I am very grateful for that.

Always speedy efficient service with what they have to do explained in laymans terms and not with lots of jargon.
We’ve used these guys three times now, the latest to rip up our driveway and replace our water main.
We had next day service and they finished when they said they would, cleaned up very nice and did a nice cement job too.
