10 days later the same problem occurred. This time I had to get it towed. Turns out it was a catastrophic engine failure and they put in a new engine. WHAT??? At 7000 miles??? So 10 days ago there was «nothing wrong with the vehicle» yet now I need a new engine? I don’t believe I will be taking any car back to Bob Bell for work.
I called Hyundai USA and filed a claim saying I wanted a buy back. After a week, I finally got a call saying that their policy is to cover the «repair» under warranty. Replacing an engine in a brand new car is a repair??? They had my car for 10 days. I picked it up today. It was filthy, not even a car wash. Needless to say, I’m pursuing my claim through the BBB via arbitration. I don’t trust this car and now it’s certainly devalued by a few grand, if not more. Why should I have to bear that loss?

I have been waiting for an oil change using the «quick lane» service. Needless to say I’ve been waiting for two hours and was told it would be at least another hour. I wasn’t surprised the last time I waited for 3+ hours because it was Saturday and the wait line was out to the street and I was closer to the tail end. Today’s line was much shorter, but still very slow. They didn’t appear to be working to their capacity as only two of the bay’s had cars being worked on. Supposedly they have other bays on the other side of the wall, but I haven’t seen any cars from the «quick lane» be directed there. In addition to seeing only two occupied bays, I watched many smoking breaks being taken. I was told the through put is 90 cars per day, but I’m having a hard time making the math work based on the number of cars I saw being completed for the two and a half hours that I’ve been waiting. Very disappointing. I will never buy another car from Bob Bell Ford.

We have a 2013 Ford 350. What I understood and my paperwork states is oil changes up to 60,000 miles. I went in for an oil change. My plan expired according to service department. After talking to someone in service the second time, he said it says expired but he doesn’t understand why, it should be good. I had to go to finance department due to «clerical error» and the finance man is looking at the paper work agreeing I am good for the oil change. Then Service says we are over 60,000 miles according to Aprils documentation. A clerical error on their part, which I had to physically show my truck to service to prove that they messed up! Well the service department can’t have that! They came up with this, «oh, according to your plan, you are only allowed 6 oil changes up to 60,000 miles and your last one was in April.» He then points out we have had our oil changed every 8000 miles vs 10,000. I told him I brought the truck in every time the «change oil» light came on. So if it is indeed every 10,000 miles, they need to repair my light indicator. On top of that, from last oil change in April, the «add coolant» light never went out!
Next issue, service engine light is on! I won’t go into that at this time, however with my warranty, I need to pay a $ 240 diagnostic fee, and a $ 100 deductible for work! WTF! They are money hungry! We have purchased 4 vehicles from Bob Bell Glen Burnie, but we will NEVER again do so. Their service department is a rip off, and none of them are in the same page, each department states something different.

My recent experience with Bob Bell’s parts department was great. I needed a hood switch contact for our Hyundai Elantra. Rico looked it up and told me they didn’t have it in stock but would get it from another dealer. I told him it wasn’t critical and would be back the next week. He sent someone to another dealer and had it there by noon on the same day. It was only a $ 0.79 part and he had it there in a couple of hours? I could not have asked for better customer service.
We also use their Express Lane for the Bell Care on our Elantra and have had success. Sometimes it takes longer than their suggested wait time (30 minutes?) but not much longer. Like any car care place, it all depends on how many people showed up ahead of you. If I get there when they open, I’m usually out quickly. If I get there at mid-​morning or late afternoon, I wait a little longer.

I went on the Bob Bell Ford website on Monday to schedule an appointment for Wednesday morning at 8am (the service center opens at 7). I received a call from Billy at the service center inquiring as to the problem with the vehicle. After speaking with Billy about the numerous problems he said come on in on Wednesday. I asked for how long and he told me it shouldn’t take too long but we are already backed up a little. Now, how can you be backed up for Wednesday on Tuesday morning when we are speaking? I should have took that as a sign to go to another Ford dealership to have my car looked at. Wednesday morning I get to the dealership and the ford serviceman is extremely curt and rude. I once again asked how long to diagnose my car and he said «before the end of the day». The service center closes at 7pm and now I’m stuck here because I desperately need to have my car fixed. I’m a flight attendant and gone for days at a time so I have limited time and days as options to get my car serviced. So I’ve been here since 8am and they have no update on my car and it is 1pm. I guess I have another 6 hours to wait. I’d go home but I’m heading out for a work trip tomorrow and have to get this diagnosed now. He told me they probably don’t have the part I need even though this is a Ford dealership and I own a ford suv. So now I’ll have to keep my car here for 4 days until I get back from work and incur more charges. Save yourself the anger, frustration, stress, and money. Go somewhere else!!!

The employees in the service lot take more than 12 hours for a 4 hour job and they won’t call you back when your car is ready.

My much loved 21 012 Kia sorrento broke down on the road, called local dealership to ask about what to do, after many calls with no answers, finally talked to a women service rep who told me to call roadside assistance, but didn’t want to take the time to give me the no. she said I could look it up in manual. We got the car. To service within 30 mins and dropped off. Very uncaring lady, we felt like we were really a bother to her.5 days later we received a call from Darin requesting all maintenance records per Kia he said, and that I needed a new engine, We provided records within 2 hrs of
car only had 23 000 miles there wasn’t a lot of main thence records to find. Darin called day 6 and said, Kia rep now wanted to tear down engine to find reason for failure, and that bob bell needed me to guarantee payment for tech, if Kia refused to honor warranty, very scary statement ! A big reason for our Kia purchase was the 10 yr 100,000 mile warranty, which means nothing if Kia refuses to honor it ! He said tear down would only take a few days, finally 14 days after dropping car off, after many phone calls to Darin, and disconnects? I left message fir the service manager, requesting a phone call back as to the status of my car. Not having a car for 2 weeks is tough,! Darin called within the hr and said engine was ordered day before and Kia was going to take care of it! What a relief ! He said about another 1&½ weeks or so for repairs to be made ! Oh, no,! I asked about a loaner or rental car as I had when I first brought the car in, and was told none were available, and that he would let me know when one came in! We’ll, on day 28, Without a car, I received a message my car was done! Yeah! Went immediately to pick up, was told to go to cashier, both ladies were busy on computers, no other customers around, so I just stood and waited till 1 finally acknowledged me, gave my name and said I was here to pick up my car. She handed me the keys saying printers were down. So id have to wait for paperwork in the mail! Day 8, still no paper work, what a bad joke all around!!! Was I treated this way because I originally purchased my car at another dealership ! I don’t know ! But I assumed all dealerships serviced the make of cars they sell regardless, if your car breaks down, aren’t you suppose to go to nearest dealership??? I wonder now ! Would have originally purchased car at Bob bell Kia, even visited and told sales manager in 2012 we wanted to purchase here if he could match price from other dealer per internet ‚! I was told to buy at other dealership if I could get that price, because he wasn’t in the business to lose money! I promise you, we will never bother your dealership again, in any way! Sales or service!!! After picking up my car, we immediately drove to another dealership and traded it in for a Honda! As much as I had loved my Kia, after such a bad experience with your service dept. and Kia rep, we never wanted to chance such an unpleasant ordeal again!!!
Shame on you all, in the 28 days of waiting, many neighbors, co workers, family, and friends continually asked for updates on my car and the situation, and we’re as appalled and worried that this could of been them! I’m sure none of them, or they’re families, friends, neighbors, and coworkers will be buying a Kia or dropping by Bob bell anytime soon, a little customer kindness, caring, professionalism would have gone a long way, many asked if management had changed at dealership, and employees were unhappy as a reason for my for our ordeal?!
!! Don’t know! But, sad none the less,

My husband and I had our 2013 Hyundai Sonata towed to this dealership after we got a flat tire. We arrived at the parts/​service department and were continually ignored by customer service representatives. We were told to wait in the lobby but weren’t asked what our issue was or what we needed. The coffee machine did not have any cups and when we asked if there were any and when we could expect someone to start looking at our vehicle we got continual attitude.
Anytime we politely asked a question, wanted to know where to go/​what to do, people did not only know but acted as if we were bothering THEM. The customer service was the WORST I’ve EVER seen, anywhere. Employees were ignorant, rude, and lacked any ability to help us out or give us any info.
I am a patient person and can understand that a service department can get busy and stressful but that is no reason to treat a customer this way.
When we asked about options for a loaner car, we got lots of confused looks. One guy offered to take us to Enterprise but would not tell us if and what the cost would be to us if we went with him.
Not only am I extremely upset and disappointed but I would highly recommend AVOIDING this dealership at all costs. After moving across the country, we were excited at the prospect of having a Hyundai dealership so close to us. It is unfortunate that we will NEVER be going back to this establishment, especially when we were also in the market for a 2^nd vehicle.
Bob Bell Ford Hyundai Kia is going to continue to lose and scare away customers and future business opportunities if they continue this type of behavior, attitude, and poor service.

Horrible phone service. I tried to get a hold of them a few times — all I needed is to ask them if they would check my engine (the light came on). Once someone told me they will walk to the Hyundai building to make sure someone answers my call and when I wasn’t on hold anymore the call went to voicemail AGAIN –for a third time. So I went online and scheduled an appointment for later that day, 3 hours later the guy Dave or Dan I believe, calls me and tells me he can’t see me until next Monday! A week from now!!! All I need is the diagnostic tool to be pluged into my car for 30 seconds! ANYWAYS — when I asked him if the online coupon is still valid (free diagnostic coupon) he said he has no idea about ‘what’s going on online on their website’ and ‘oh they have expiration dates’ — which it did NOT have on the website. So basically the people who work there are extremely unprofessional and guess what — we need to buy a car soon and I am definitely NOT buying from them.

I called into Bob Bell Ford, Glen Burnie, MD. After being connected to the service center, I said I had a Ford Taurus with 51,000 miles… could I make an appointment to have the car serviced? The service rep. told me to «just drive in anytime after 8:00 a. m…no appointments necessary. I then asked, «Approximately how long would it take»? Service rep, «I don’t know. I don’t have a crystal ball».
I am always astonished in this day of competition, how poorly businesses train their employees in Customer Service. This guy should not have been put in contact with the public/​customer. So rude. Now I not only will not bring my car in there for service, I’ve crossed the Ford Explorer off my list of next car to buy. Oh, back to the Subaru, Annapolis dealer.

We took our car from an accident to Bob Bell Body Shop. What resulted was 10 weeks of repair, and then another 10 weeks to get the correct papers they promised us to register the car. The whole time they never returned our calls or responded to emails. I can’t believe how slow they were, and our insurance kept calling wondering what the heck was going on. In the end, our car wasn’t even properly fixed, as it now has a high speed wobble and shaking with the brakes. Never will I bring any business back to Bob Bell.

I took my hyundai there under warranty in the first year I bought it brand new. it wouldn’t stay running. Not only did I get charged a few hundred for the «warranty» repair but when I got in it after paying for it my car still wouldn’t start.
My parents have bought 2 ford’s from there (a taurus & a F-​150) and when issues came up they took it to them for repairs. A few thousand dollars later, both cars had the same issues and they were never resolved.
I’m sure the car buying process is easy anywhere you go but the service afterwards at Bob Bell is the worst. My parents ended up getting rid of both fords and never bought another car or took their cars to Bob Bell for service again.
I got my «warranty» repair cost reduced to the «cost:» of parts (still over $ 200) and when I picked it up the next day was told by the «tech» there that the part was installed backwards. He showed me the «part» and it has a label showing which way it should face. Also I was told that when they test drove it the first time it ran fine and sometimes cars «magically» (that’s a real quote) will run fine until the computer notices a fault. So if my car didn’t have an engine in it but the computer was still «magically functional» it would start up the first couple times you turned the key.
A service writer and a «master mechanic» had the audacity to tell me that to my face. The «master mechanic» was getting angry at my disbelief at that statement to the point where he tried to fight me. In front of the service writer. Yelling. The service writer had to tell him to take a walk to cool off… Mind you the «master mechanic» looked like he might have been in his late 30’s early 40’s…I was 19 at the time and more than up for a fight but sadly I was more professional than either of them.
Service manager was of no help either. I guess that’s standard operating procedure at Bob Bell.
I will never give those morons another cent and neither will my parents. They are crooks. I’ll bet the internet is magic too. Put the F-​bomb in every 7^th word and that’s how I would’ve spoken this review ;)

I have nothing bad to say about this place. That being said I have only been a service customer and have not bought a car here.
I have been burned by bad dealerships in the past; however, after failing to find an adequate non-​dealer repair shop I broke down and tried Bob Bell Ford out. I have now been there 3 times, the most recent today, for a variety of repairs (one transmission repair, one cooling system repair, one brake system repair) on 2 different cars. Each time the Bob Bell service dept. has finished ahead of schedule AND under their estimated quote. The work has been top quality; I have never had to return for something left unfinished.
As if on-​time and under budget aren’t good enough qualities in a repair shop, the service guys go out of their way to be helpful: free top-​off of fluids while I’m in, telling me about a local spot to dispose of a spent rim, helping me get a rental for the longer repairs, giving me the honest low-​down on when I should go somewhere else to save a dime.
I will continue to use Bob Bell for all of my repair needs and highly recommend them if you are a Ford owner.
