In short: Mediocre chiropractic service at best. Rude and shady at worst.
I went here on the suggestion of a former coworker– I didn’t know anyone who could recommend another place. The office setting is very cramped and awkward. They often made me wait 15 – 20 minutes after my appointment time then cut my treatment time short. They’re often double booked. I will say the two female massage therapists were very skilled and personable– the 1 star is for them only.
Mr. Mason was uninterested in my treatment. After each visit he would say something like a hasty ‘so long’ which I found very odd, he never even suggested I come back for follow ups.
I asked a few times if they gave incentives for paying for multiple visits in cash up front– like a win for them and me (even a fraction of a discount % would have been good). I previously worked at a medical office that did this. They acted surprised and confused that I even asked. I then asked Mr. Mason how often I should come back (I have gradual onset/​persistent pain issues that benefit from regular maintenance). He gave a shrug and seemed to guess «once a month?». I asked about starting massage therapy there which he dismissed. I asked about any other treatments he could recommend for my pain situation which he also dismissed. I was puzzled by this but settled for the lack luster service until I could find a better chiropractor. This went on for a few months.
I’m writing this review now because I saw a complete 180 when I came there after being in a traffic accident. I was in pain and thought he could help — in hindsight I wish I had gone somewhere else. He certainly changed his tune, suddenly speaking to me in actual sentences instead of one or two words. I filled out tons of legal paperwork, re-​took tons of X-​rays, went through extra evaluations. He never mentioned details about a treatment plan. At the time I decided to start physical therapy somewhere else since he refused to give me any adjustments or treatment for a few weeks. He said the first few weeks needed to be for rest and repair (something like that) so I gradually started PT elsewhere. After a few weeks I came back to him and he outright scolded and chided me for not coming back sooner and for seeking PT services elsewhere. He was condescending and acted extremely immature. Rolling his eyes and huffing and puffing. I felt like I was dealing with a bratty teenager who wasn’t getting his way. He was never interested in providing those services to me before and even said he would not give me any treatments for a few weeks. Why should he care if I went somewhere else? He was very disrespectful and I believe his new interest was purely greed. He said I needed to be in there 3 – 4 times a week. for 4 to 6 weeks. (Sure I’ll just quit my job to make time to be in his office 4 days/​week). He suddenly saw me as a walking paycheck. He said if I went to him all the services would be «free» which is not true– they would not be free but he could bill the accident insurance in any way he liked. I understand he is running a business but that is no excuse for being shady like that. I felt used and very ill treated.
Chiropractors are a dime a dozen in and around Richmond. I’m sure you can find more than one that is better than this place and plenty with more integrity.

I started here 2 weeks ago because my leg hurt so much I could hardly walk. I had pain in my lower back, going down my leg. It was also inflamed. After 3 short cold laser therapy and massage sessions, I had no more pain. Dr. Sheehan did xrays and now he is treating me for a rotated hip and lower back issues. He is very cutting edge and effective. The whole office is friendly and laid back but their treatments are so effective that I am, honestly, amazed. I have been to several chiropractors and physical therapists, but have never had pain relief this quickly. I am so grateful that I found this place. Love them!

I love this place. I went in because I was in a car accident a long time ago and my back has always been super painful. Dr. Mason was super helpful and did some x rays and an exam and a free follow up. He discussed a treatment plan with me that we discussed adjusting based on my schedule and my needs. The woman at the front desk was super helpful and sweet. After finding out I’m still a student she discussed a variety of payment plans and options for me.
So far the treatments and adjustments have made me feel awesome. I usually wake up about 48 hours after a visit feeling like I could run a marathon.
Their office is very laid back and some times visits can take a while or run late, but they are open late some days so I just make sure I go when I have an hour of free time.
Definitely would recommend a visit. I’m certainly sticking with them for now.
