History

Established in 2009.

While teaching through her workshops locally for over 25 years, C J has received many request to expand her service throughout the US and abroad. To reach further out to those desiring to learn, she has written and made available a nice selection of e-​tutorials in addition to local workshops thus establishing her talent as a business in 2009. To enhance the learning experience even further, she also offers additional learning material online. New tutorials and classes are always in the making.

E-​workshops are due to be released in the near future, making her sought after classes easily accessible to everyone regardless of distance.

Acrylic & Mixed Media Painting’s goal is to be available to anyone with the desire to create using both traditional & innovative approaches to creating unique works of art.

Business Owner

Artist, Instructor, Author from VA with over 25 yrs experience.

It’s through my passion for acrylic painting and mixed media art that I choose to create, teach and write on a full time basis. Art for me is a natural lifelong process much like breathing. It’s just something that I must do in order to continue. I can’t image myself as not creating art, or as someone disciplined in only one medium; that would go against my nature.

Experimenting with and creating unique texture, surfaces, and bas relief structures using both traditional & innovative approaches all play a major role in my creative process regardless of the medium (s) used. It’s through the senses of sight & touch that art attracts the viewer’s attention so the remaining message can be successfully delivered.

It’s important that my artistic visions be openly shared. I surrender over to the student what’s desired to learn, or to create what can’t be expressed in words. It’s through art that one truly speaks.
