Our martial arts classes are fun and exciting for the whole family. Our friendly atmosphere will make you feel right at home. We offer family rates and accept students ages 4 through adult.
Meet the Business Owner
Sam M.
Business Owner
Mr. Middleton started studying karate in the fourth grade, so he can identify with kids who would much rather be watching TV. He’s an excellent resource for parents as well. He loves to keep active and loves to have fun, and his classes reflect that.
He earned a degree in architecture and worked in that field for several years. Mr. Middleton realized his passion was martial arts, and helping people become better people.
He opened his own school in the Northland area of Kansas City in 2001. AKKA Karate USA’s motto is «Fitness, family, fun … whatever it takes!» His school works as a partner in the community, attending various elementary school functions and donating supplies to Synergy Services, a Northland nonprofit serving survivors of domestic violence.
